All in all, we couldn't be happier with Mum's care at Wren House and feel incredibly lucky that it is on our doorstep.
Thank you so very much for these kind words. I will pass on to the team.
I have been in for just over 2 years, having had a fall in my home with fractures. I cannot praise this home enough, everything is catered for with immense care and kindness from all staff, beautifully treated.
I was very impressed with the care and consideration given both by the staff and management. The ambience and layout was ideal for my mother in law and it felt like a home from home. Both Tracey and Magda gave us great confidence in the way that the team looked after and cared for everyone in the house. The food and fresh cakes were excellent with tea and cakes being offered every time we visited. The activities offered by the team were encouraging and helped to make everyone included. Contact from the staff ensured we were kept up to date on care and any medical concerns.
Thank you for your kind words. I will pass on to the team.
My mother was a resident at Wren House for a short time. The care she received from Tracey, Magda and the whole team at Wren House was fantastic - they treated my mother with kindness, gentleness and dignity. They were also incredibly kind and welcoming to me when I visited. It is a beautiful environment, very peaceful and quiet.
Thank you so very much for your knid words. I will pass on to the team.
No better place to rest and relax. Wonderful food and super staff.
Thank you, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. I will pass on your kind comments to the team.
Granny has been at Wren House for nearly 10 years. The care she has received over the years, including end-of-life care, has been amazing. The atmosphere is lovely and guests always receive a warm welcome. The staff, many of whom have been there for over 10 years, are caring and compassionate, outstanding in every way.
Thank you so very much for your kind words. I will pass on to the team.
June's story on 15.11.2016 - 10 years ago, mum and dad moved into Wren House. Sadly dad passed away after a short stay, and mum, loving Wren House, decided to make this her home. Wren House is a big family. The staff, many of whom have been there longer than mum, are caring and affectionate, becoming our extended family. They are supporting and encouraging mum to remain independent for as long as she was able, offering physical and emotional support. Mum is now receiving outstanding end-of-life care. It is heartwarming to see the gentle, affectionate care mum is receiving as she slips away. It has not only been a wonderful gift to mum, the way her Wren House Family has cared for her, but a gift to her family, knowing she was so happy and well looked after, allowing us to get on with our lives. Wren House is a jewel in the crown.
Thank you for your very kind words. Mum become a big part of us. We all have wonderful lasting memories of mum. I will pass on your comments to the team.
June has been at Wren House for 10 years. Her quality of life has undoubtedly been enhanced and extended by the outstanding care she has received. She has been treated at all times with compassion and dignity by all the staff, many of whom have been there longer than June. As a family we have always received a warm welcome and made to feel part of the Wren House family. The end of life care June has received at the moment is truly heartwarming, not just the care, but staff sitting holding her hand and talking to her.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Your mother in law was the grandma of Wren House we all loved her. I will pass on you words to the team.
A very enjoyable Sunday spent chatting and laughing with Brenda
Thank you very much for your kind words. I will pass it on to the team.
I have been a resident in Wren House for 5 months now and I am very happy here. The staff are all very kind and so attentive and the level of care provided is exceptional. There are plenty of activities going on to keep me entertained and therefore there is always something to look forward to.
Thank you for your kind words. I will pass on to the team.
The care given to my mum at Wren House is exemplary. The carers are kind, loving and always at hand. I have rarely seen my mum so happy as she is surrounded by interested people and good food.
Thank you for your knid words. It is a pleasure to care for your mother. I will pass on to the team.
There is a variety of activities here but my mother is 100 years old is unable physically to go down to them so some are done in her room. We have had children come from a school to read to her in her room.
Thank you for you kind review. We always encourage to be inclusive to all our residents when oraganising activities.
This care home is far better than any other care home I have visited in the park. Thank you.
When I broke my hip I was lucky enough to come to Wren House as I left hospital. Since then I have had so much kindness and efficiency so much attention. I am lucky that they had an empty room and I as able to move in.
Thank you for your kind words. I will pass on to the team.
Loved my stay for respite.
It has been a hugely positive experience. Wren House feels like a comfortable home, rather than a hospital and the staff are fantastic giving great care with a smile. Mum has settled in so well and still has the freedom to do what she wants but has a wonderful support network providing a great quality of life.
My mother has been in Wren House since last November. The care and staff are absolutely fantastic, so kind, sensible and with a bit of humour, which is so important. It's a huge change moving into a care home but they manage to make it as smooth as possible. Thank you for looking after her.
Thank you for your lovely comments. I will pass on to the team.
While nothing can compare with our own home, bought, cared for and loved with one's partner over many years, the comfort, care and company at Wren House is a high-standard replacement for many of these attributes. The house and my own room are excellent. From my own point of view, I could only suggest that a little more care and attention could be paid to the garden which has huge potential even if only reviewed thoroughly once per year so that interested residents could be occupied with pottering during the summer sunshine if they wished.
Thank you for your kind words. I will pass this on to the team.
I love living at Wren House, the care and support is lovely. The staff are great.
Thank you for your kind words, I will pass it on to the team.
I am very happy. People are very kind and helpful. The food is excellent and the staff are very helpful. I am very happy here. My bed and chair are very comfortable and cosy. We have a lovely garden here and they put on some things to do and the entertainment is good.
Thank you for your kind words, I will pass it on to the team.

I am a mother of two and have two grandchildren, stepmother of two and four step-grandchildren. My family life is very busy, but I have great support from my husband. My interests are rugby, as my son plays the sport and course fishing to relax. I have been in the care sector for 15 years, ranging from the acute setting of a hospital after being at university to gain my diploma in adult nursing to a senior carer at Wren House. I have been promoted at Wren House to the home manager, which is a position that I enjoy as I am a very driven person and confident in all aspects of running the Home and my lovely residents.
