Thank you very much for your feedback. The home continues to advertise for an additional Activities co-ordinator for Ashbury Lodge to which it is very important to ensure the right person is appointed. In the meantime, the home continues to operate above our staffing numbers to ensure that additional activities are offered to residents. Since your initial review in May the home has implemented a new activity programme which all staff are working with.
Thank you for taking the time in completing the Care Home Review form.
I am very saddened to see your comments and the scores which you rated Ashbury Lodge.
Ashbury Lodge has a very good and loyal staffing team with little turnover. This is evident from staff receiving Long service awards for being with the home for 5, 10 and 15years.
Ashbury Lodge operates a robust complaints procedure. All complaints are fully investigated and a full response made. There is an appeals process should the respondent not be satisfied with the outcome of any investigation. The Operations Team oversees all investigations to ensure they are dealt with fairly.
We do encourage Families to speak to the management team and the manager always operates an open door policy. We know that your Auntie has lived with us at Ashbury Lodge since 2010. You have thanked the staff for what they do and classed this as her home. I would be more than happy to discuss any concerns with you. In addition, the operations team is also available to meet with you if you so wish.

Previous roles included RAF, teaching, paediatric therapy, quality in care homes, deputy and home manager. My hobbies are paddleboarding and cycling, and spending time with family. I love working for CWC; it is a family-run business that strives for excellent care. Inspiration is to drive Ashbury Lodge forward, ensuring person-centred care and listening to the voices of the residents.
As a deputy manager in Ashbury Lodge, I am passionate about supporting residents’ needs, creating meaningful memories and delivering person-centred care. I lead with compassion, dedication, and by example, finding fulfilment in a role that fosters both personal growth and professional development, credit to CWC.
I am usually the first face to visitors/ professionals who come to the home. My role is to support one manager and one deputy and deal with all the administration work for both the residents and staff in the home.
I enjoy my job as it's varied but extremely busy, staff are always willing to help out cover shifts when I ask, so the home is run effectively. When I have time, I enjoy getting involved with the residents’ activities and seeing how much they get from what we do for them.
