It is only day 1, mum moved in today, was made to feel so at home and welcomed. The room was amazing, clean, cosy, warm - mum put her own personal bits and pieces in and it looked lovely. I feel that she will be happy, well looked after, treated with dignity and kindness. I am so impressed, the best care home in Swindon. I am so happy my mum has a place there.

All staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
My friend, who due to her dementia refused help at home, arrived at Ashbury Lodge in a virtually neglected state.
In less than one week she's been pampered. Hair cut, washed and set, manicured and had the chiropodist attend her. Enjoyed plenty of wholesome meals. Even enjoyed an outing. Joined in activities in the home eg exercise class, singing etc.
She seems much happier, cleaner and calmer.

The transformation is amazing.

Ashbury lodge is a very well run care home and they cater for my father very well. It is always clean and tidy unlike some we have seen and we would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who was thinking of using it.

Too many personal items get mislaid. Now all of a sudden her 22ct gold wedding ring that my aunt has never taken off is lost. Reply from the home was "sorry don't now where it has gone". Too high a turnover of staff.

I feel more positive regarding my father staying in this home, although very ill, he responds to carers and that's a great feeling for me. The home is clean, tidy and always a good atmosphere which is obviously down to happy staff being able to work together on a daily basis, where would we be without these angels (carers and other staff)? I only have praise and thanks to all concerned. So all I can say now is thank you.

The staff looking after dad are friendly, attentive and are easy to talk to regarding dads care. The home is clean and tidy and any requirements are dealt with quite quickly. We are pleased that dad has settled in and seems to have a few friends. If relatives are unsure where to place there loved ones, this is a home to be recommended.

After visiting a few care homes, this was definitely the best one, thank you for looking after my Father

My Father has very complex needs and the staff always work hard to accommodate his needs. I feel I can approach staff at anytime. My father is not the easiest person to look after, the staff always try there best.

I am usually the first face to visitors/ professionals who come to the home. My role is to support one manager and one deputy and deal with all the administration work for both the residents and staff in the home.

I enjoy my job as it's varied but extremely busy, staff are always willing to help out cover shifts when I ask, so the home is run effectively. When I have time, I enjoy getting involved with the residents’ activities and seeing how much they get from what we do for them.
