Although still in a COVID-19 situation, I feel that all protection and communication where possible has been very much achieved by the home. Prior to secondary lockdown, when I visited and was able to see my sister for a garden appointment, everything was done correctly, which enabled me to feel very happy after seeing her. I feel blessed to see her looked after and looking very well, all thanks to the staff at Kerria Court.

My friend has been a resident at Kerria for five years, where she has been cared for extremely well, always with great kindness and understanding. The staff and management are always cheerful and helpful with residents and visitors.

I would not hesitate to recommend Kerria Court to anyone.

A superb facility. Staff are all professional and caring at all times, nothing is too much trouble. They go out of their way to provide activities for individual resident's to suit their requirements. The home doesn't just focus on the residents, but also the family members offering support and advice. The food and accommodation are of excellent quality. Thank you, everyone.

The carers themselves are friendly and helpful. Mum is fortunate that she has full capacity and it has taken a while for Kerria Court to embrace this. We are concerned there is little stimulation for Mum, although we are pleased to hear those with full capacity will now be gathered together once a week for lunch or tea. We have some concerns about the diet Mum is offered. She is diabetic (tablet controlled) and her medical blood sugar test results have worsened consistently since she moved to Kerria Court.

It is a lovely, positive and welcoming home. I spent a lot of time with one resident who is the life of the party. She seems to enjoy it here. Other residents commented on the breakfast, which she enjoyed. The carers are very supportive and always on hand, reacting to residents demands and needs quickly.

Overall it was an excellent experience and the home is of a high standard.

Overall Experience

The home has continued to decline in standards. My father has dementia and was sent to the hospital by himself. The staff advised that he was confused when they called to advise they had sent him alone. I can't understand why I was not notified so that I could have gone with him to prevent him from being more confused and anxious. I have made numerous complaints to the home regarding my dad's care there and they seem to have fallen on deaf ears. His clothes situation is bad as items of his clothing always go missing or are washed incorrectly, therefore, ruining the garment. The clothes are never ironed so he looks scruffy every time I go to pick him up. Today when I got to the hospital his lip was swollen and cut, I called the home to ask what happened but she thought it was correct to say I was abrupt when she said she did not know and nothing was logged about it. I asked her to get a manager to call me but nobody has. I have taken pictures of his lip and do want answers.

The staff are excellent my husband bonded with all. I can't believe how hard they work the food is also excellent. My husband put on a few pounds as he loves his food. The only reason we have moved is so he is closer to home travelling not good. Just wish we lived a bit closer to Kerria Court.

While visiting my friend whilst he was at Kerria Court I found the staff and carers etc offering an excellent service. Very friendly and always willing to help. Looked after my friend extremely well and professionally. The care Home was always clean and well maintained. Easy parking and access. I was made to feel welcome at all times. Unfortunately, my friend passed away whilst there but would recommend to anyone.

While in care at Kerria Court, our friend had a 100th birthday. As always when we visit, staff at Kerria Court always appear pleasant, helpful and attentive. On this particular occasion, a special area had been set aside for visitors. It had been decorated with celebration items and a trolley was brought up with tea, coffee, juice and a plate of biscuits. Our resident appears contented at Kerria Court and considers herself well looked after. Thank you.

We visit our friend every few weeks. Today was her 100th birthday. She has no close relatives but the staff at Kerria Court put aside and decorated a room; collected cards for today, served coffee, tea and biscuits to the 20 or so people who came from 10am to 1pm. They had got a lovely dress and jacket ready for her to wear and could not have been kinder to our friend and her visitors. They are going to fasten her cards and photo frames to the wall. Kerria Court will give her their party for the residents tomorrow afternoon. Well done!! and thank you so much.

My Grandmothers transition into a care home was difficult for myself and my family, but the staff at Kerria Court have made sure it has been positive. The staff are always friendly and helpful and treat my Grandmother extremely well. The home is always clean and tidy. Visiting my Nan is always a positive experience, and as a family, we are at ease knowing my Nan is being taken care of well.
