I cannot speak highly enough of Dudley Court Rest Home. It really is a home, each resident is treated like a member of a big family. The home itself is always clean and tidy and smells lovely! The staff have an extraordinary amount of love and compassion for all the residents. They look after my grandma
so they would have to be special just as she is special to us.
Thank you and god bless all the staff.

I feel I should put on record just how well my dad has been cared for over the past 3 years. He has lived there since December 2018. The staff are so kind and caring. Any issues are dealt with immediately. Dad is very happy and settled there. The manager and staff organised a Mother’s Day tea last Sunday
which was well organised and very enjoyable for residents and visitors. All safety precautions were in place. So we all felt very safe while we enjoyed delicious homemade cakes, teas and coffees and entertainment. Many thanks to you all. Well done!

5th November - we were invited to the care home to join residents, family and friends to a Firework Party, we have a lovely evening, we sat with my aunty (who is a resident) for a supper of Jacket Potatoes with cheese and beans, hot dogs and wonderful homemade cakes and refreshments. We were then allowed
to sit with our families in the lounge area and the conservatory, they arranged the rooms so we were all seated to have a good view of the garden where they had the firework display. It was lovely to hear the Orr that was nice Orr that was pretty Orr that had a big bang, clapping and cheering at the fireworks, you could see the residents were really enjoying the evening, the staff had worked extremely hard to arrange this firework party to which we all enjoyed. It was nice to be with other families and friends, it was a nice get together for everyone. Well done to you all and thank you.

These people are like guardian angels, my sister was rushed into hospital as an emergency, which left her partner on his own in the house. We had care in the home for him which was awful, so we decided he needed proper care. After explaining our situation, the manager assessed him and agreed to look
after him at Dudley Court. She was amazing, so kind and caring. After 2 weeks of him being there, I can't believe the change in him. He's happy, content and full of praise for all the staff. My sister has now joined him there for respite care and instantly felt at home there, so from all the family a massive thank you to all the staff, what a superb team you are.

Visiting a relative today for the first time, it was lovely to see her happy. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and made our visit a pleasure. The lady in charge was most helpful and the carer seeing to our relative was kind and considerate. Long may it continue and we will be happy to give
an update when she has been there a bit longer.

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.618)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.618) out of 10 for Dudley Court Rest Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.686 for Dudley Court Rest Home is calculated as follows: ( (25 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 35 Ratings = 4.686
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.932 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Dudley Court Rest Home is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 22 registered maximum number of service users is 4.4. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 4.4 = 0.682
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
