Overall very pleased. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. Very clean care home and recently refurbished. Always can see a district nurse, optician, hearing aid specialist when needed. Plenty to eat and drink.

I am overall happy with the situation, however, I would like to be informed if my uncle has a visit from a nurse or doctor that I haven't organised. It would be nice for my uncle to get more exercise, help with walking daily. I think, would make him stronger to be able to walk on his own with a zimmer, he is lazy and needs persuading which makes it more difficult at times. A separate phone number for the carers office would be helpful at the weekends, it's very difficult to get through?

Overall Experience
Most of the time staff are approachable and friendly, however there have been occasions when we have not been acknowledged and the staff have not appeared to be pro-activity engaging with residents.

We have felt able to raise concerns with senior staff who have responded appropriately. My mother loves her room and the food. We would welcome staff providing more encouragement to my mother to engage more with other residents especially when her mood is low.

My uncle has been a resident of Lucton House for 5 and a half years and in that time his health care has been well attended, his general care very good and he is happy.
Activities are held on a daily basis for those who want to take part.

It is a happy place to visit.

My mother moved into Lucton House following a series of hospital visits. When she had returned to her flat each time she was unable to cope at home even with a care package and became frightened to be at home. Since moving into Lucton House her health has improved tremendously and she has regained her confidence in herself. She is looked after extremely well by the staff. The manager is superb. She is approachable and will go out of her way to make sure that any requests are dealt with as soon as possible even if it means dealing with it personally. My mother feels safe, well cared for and happy since she moved in and her health has improved.
