I'm really pleased with the level of care. Residents needs we consider first and foremost. Staff are consistent. They are friendly, open and hard working.
Always feel welcome.
The home never smells unhygienic.

My first impression of Lucton House was very positive. The staff are so friendly and always willing to help. I was most impressed with my mother's living accommodation. The staff do activities on a daily basis and I find they treat the residents with care and compassion. I don't think there could be
anywhere else that compares. I'm very happy that my mother is fortunate enough to have been allocated Lucton House. Such a lovely atmosphere and residents are treated really well.

My mother finally began to admit to needing help and company, which we had been aware of for some time. Lucton House was ideal for her as the residents have their own faltlet which means an element of individuality, independence and privacy is maintained whilst the cleaning, washing and cooking responsibility
is removed. The staff are very friendly, the food is excellent and after 3 weeks we saw a more relaxed attitude in her. There has been a gentle encouragement to join in activities and gradually this is happening. The staff are very approachable and reassuring so it is easy to discuss any problems which naturally arises as this is as much a new experience for family as well as mum.

My mother is a resident at Lucton House, whenever I visit him I get a warm welcome from all the staff from domestic cleaners to management. Lucton House is warm and friendly. My father is well looked after with good food, kept warm and bathed. Everyone works very hard to keep all the residents happy
and entertained. I am happy for my father to be at Lucton House in his final years.

Overall very good quality care, patient and encouraging towards my Mum who has very limited mobility and vascular dementia. Knowing that Mum is safe and well looked after puts my mind at rest. This has relieved the stress I was experiencing when she was living at home without 24-hour care. Most of the
staff are pleasant, kind and dedicated to caring for the residents.

Overall very pleased. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. Very clean care home and recently refurbished. Always can see a district nurse, optician, hearing aid specialist when needed. Plenty to eat and drink.

I am overall happy with the situation, however, I would like to be informed if my uncle has a visit from a nurse or doctor that I haven't organised. It would be nice for my uncle to get more exercise, help with walking daily. I think, would make him stronger to be able to walk on his own with a zimmer,
he is lazy and needs persuading which makes it more difficult at times. A separate phone number for the carers office would be helpful at the weekends, it's very difficult to get through?

Most of the time staff are approachable and friendly, however there have been occasions when we have not been acknowledged and the staff have not appeared to be pro-activity engaging with residents.
We have felt able to raise concerns with senior staff who have responded appropriately. My mother loves
her room and the food. We would welcome staff providing more encouragement to my mother to engage more with other residents especially when her mood is low.

My uncle has been a resident of Lucton House for 5 and a half years and in that time his health care has been well attended, his general care very good and he is happy.
Activities are held on a daily basis for those who want to take part.

My mother moved into Lucton House following a series of hospital visits. When she had returned to her flat each time she was unable to cope at home even with a care package and became frightened to be at home. Since moving into Lucton House her health has improved tremendously and she has regained her
confidence in herself. She is looked after extremely well by the staff. The manager is superb. She is approachable and will go out of her way to make sure that any requests are dealt with as soon as possible even if it means dealing with it personally. My mother feels safe, well cared for and happy since she moved in and her health has improved.
