Mum stayed at Lucton House for two years, she thought of it as her home and didn't want to leave but her health deteriorated and required nursing care. The care staff are lovely and often go above and beyond, if mum gets better I would love to bring mum back home to Lucton House.

Mum had a trial week to see if she was ready for a care home. She though the care staff were fabulous, very natural and caring. However, shes's not quite ready for permanent care and is looking forward to being back in her own home, but is well rested and has enjoyed the experience.

My mother has needed a great deal of care since coming here. The staff, without exception, have been caring, attentive and professional. Mother considers it home here and doesn't want to ever leave and as family members, we feel she couldn't get better care anywhere else.

I have been very happy with the care my mother has received over the last year. She settled in very easily and always comments on how kind everyone is.

The atmosphere is always warm, homely and upbeat and the staff are all friendly and welcoming. I hope the home will continue to operate in the same way and keep those qualities which makes this care home stand out from so many others.

My mother has now been in care for the best part of 3 months and the change has been nothing more than amazing. Both my sister in law and I couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention she receives. I have got to know most of the staff and they all go about their tasks in a thorough and professional manner.

My father spent three weeks in respite at Lucton House. He was not keen to leave his home and not happy to go into respite whilst I was on holiday. It turned out to be a very enjoyable experience for him, the staff and atmosphere of the care home was extremely friendly, could not find fault in anything.

Since my father has been back in his home, he has felt lonely and insecure and is asking for a full-time place in Lucton house. Hopefully, we will be able to fulfil his wishes and he will be able to spend the last years of his life where he is happy and extremely well looked after.

My first impression of Lucton House was very positive. The staff are so friendly and always willing to help. I was most impressed with my mother's living accommodation. The staff do activities on a daily basis and I find they treat the residents with care and compassion. I don't think there could be anywhere else that compares. I'm very happy that my mother is fortunate enough to have been allocated Lucton House. Such a lovely atmosphere and residents are treated really well.

My mother finally began to admit to needing help and company, which we had been aware of for some time. Lucton House was ideal for her as the residents have their own faltlet which means an element of individuality, independence and privacy is maintained whilst the cleaning, washing and cooking responsibility is removed. The staff are very friendly, the food is excellent and after 3 weeks we saw a more relaxed attitude in her. There has been a gentle encouragement to join in activities and gradually this is happening. The staff are very approachable and reassuring so it is easy to discuss any problems which naturally arises as this is as much a new experience for family as well as mum.

My mother is a resident at Lucton House, whenever I visit him I get a warm welcome from all the staff from domestic cleaners to management. Lucton House is warm and friendly. My father is well looked after with good food, kept warm and bathed. Everyone works very hard to keep all the residents happy and entertained. I am happy for my father to be at Lucton House in his final years.

Overall very good quality care, patient and encouraging towards my Mum who has very limited mobility and vascular dementia. Knowing that Mum is safe and well looked after puts my mind at rest. This has relieved the stress I was experiencing when she was living at home without 24-hour care. Most of the staff are pleasant, kind and dedicated to caring for the residents.

I am overall happy with the situation, however, I would like to be informed if my uncle has a visit from a nurse or doctor that I haven't organised. It would be nice for my uncle to get more exercise, help with walking daily. I think, would make him stronger to be able to walk on his own with a zimmer, he is lazy and needs persuading which makes it more difficult at times. A separate phone number for the carers office would be helpful at the weekends, it's very difficult to get through?

Most of the time staff are approachable and friendly, however there have been occasions when we have not been acknowledged and the staff have not appeared to be pro-activity engaging with residents.

We have felt able to raise concerns with senior staff who have responded appropriately. My mother loves her room and the food. We would welcome staff providing more encouragement to my mother to engage more with other residents especially when her mood is low.

My uncle has been a resident of Lucton House for 5 and a half years and in that time his health care has been well attended, his general care very good and he is happy.
Activities are held on a daily basis for those who want to take part.

It is a happy place to visit.

My mother moved into Lucton House following a series of hospital visits. When she had returned to her flat each time she was unable to cope at home even with a care package and became frightened to be at home. Since moving into Lucton House her health has improved tremendously and she has regained her confidence in herself. She is looked after extremely well by the staff. The manager is superb. She is approachable and will go out of her way to make sure that any requests are dealt with as soon as possible even if it means dealing with it personally. My mother feels safe, well cared for and happy since she moved in and her health has improved.
