Lucton House is a wonderful care home in a very quiet setting. The home is very secure keeping all the residents safe and sound. Having my own family member go into a home (April 2020) was such a tough decision to be a party to, and to leave a loved one in the hands of other people fills you with a lot of anxiety. However the level of care has been and continues to be brilliant, the staff are always pleasant and cheerful. The residents are always occupied every day with a multitude of activities and treated with the greatest respect by all the staff too. The home is very clean and bright and has great facilities for the residents, such as a pub, gardens and a hairdresser. The resident apartments are pleasant and self-contained, they are always checked on regularly by the staff when not in the communal areas. Finally, the management team, have been excellent. They are always approachable, welcoming on visits and always willing to help or answer queries.
My grandfather is 95 years old and was reluctant to move into a care home after so long living independently. However, after two short weeks in the home, he has settled amazingly. He has told us how the staff have looked after him and attended to his needs.
He has described the food as ‘delicious’ and has his own self-contained apartment that he has been able to personalise.
As his family, this is all we could have hoped for in what has been a really difficult decision.
Lucton House is a special place, with special people and I would not hesitate to recommend it for anyone looking for care.
Thank you, your support has meant the world
Very kind and caring to mom. Always makes our family welcome, mom enjoys having the friendship of the carers and we feel safe knowing Mom is very well looked after. The staff are always respectful of mom's needs and keep us informed of any issues that may arise.
Thank you very much for your fantastic review of Lucton House. It is our pleasure to care for your mother, and we are so glad you are very happy with the way we are looking after her. We are so delighted to have your mother and your family as part of our Lucton House family, and we look forward to...
Mom is very happy in Lucton House, staff are always helpful and attention to detail. They always have lovely comments to make about Mom and her health is very good considering the dementia she has had.
Your feedback will be shared with the team.
Very pleased with everything about the home. Can't fault it.
We appreciate you putting your sister-in-law's care in our hands. Our goal is to make sure your sister-in-law has everything she needs to enjoy her time with us to the fullest. Your 5-star rating means a lot to us. In our care, she will always be happy and secure.
My elderly friend of 20 years, recently moved to Lucton House. I was really worried when I first learned that he was going into a home. From my first visit, I began to feel at ease and since then I have visited numerous times and have been overwhelmed by the improvement in him as a result of the exceptional care he has received. All the staff are wonderful, very friendly, helpful and kind. Lucton House is exceptionally clean. The staff always make me feel welcome when I visit. I was fortunate to visit on Valentine's Day when they had arranged for a singer to come in, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend this care home to other people.
We appreciate you taking the time to write such a wonderful review of our home. Your compliments about Lucton House and how well your friend is settling here are much appreciated. It is wonderful to hear that we are succeeded in making this a home away from home for all of our residents. I will let the entire team know about your kind words.
All members of staff are patient and helpful to all residents, from early morning to late at night, security is excellent as with the care and protection from all members of staff including office staff, I will give you a full 100% for the dedication.
Best wishes.
I moved my dad up to Lucton House from London, where he had been living on his own. I could not believe the difference in him after just two weeks there. He is happy, has put on weight, looks healthier and has even been up dancing. The staff there are all lovely, caring and helpful. The care he receives is brilliant. The food is lovely and there is plenty of it. I can honestly say that moving my dad to Lucton House was the best thing I did. Thank you everyone at Lucton House for the loving care you show my dad.
Best Wishes.
Absolutely amazing place! So very pleased with the care and attention my uncle is receiving. The staff are friendly towards all residents and having a chat with them about nothing, in particular, is never too much trouble. Every aspect of my uncle's care and needs are not only dealt with promptly but documented. The accommodation is spacious and homely, and I love the fact that he can have his own belongings there to help him feel more settled. I have no concerns or worries when I leave him, and all residents are clean and well attended to. I would 100% recommend this place.
Best wishes.
All staff, including management, are extremely helpful, and nothing is too much trouble.
Residents also appear to look out for one another when in the communal rooms.
We are pleased Mum has settled so well and is enjoying the company. We strive to maintain high standards at all times, and all feedback is valuable to help us achieve this.
Our aim is to continue to offer this standard to all our residents, and...
The management team is careful when they are choosing their staff members. The staff are caring and friendly. I love my flat, it has a lovely little kitchen and a shower room. I get to have my privacy and I have my own key to lock the door when I want.
We are so pleased to hear how much you are enjoying your stay with us and the flat is to your liking, we shall share your positive comments with the rest of our wonderful team.
Lucton House is lovely; we can not fault it.
Beautiful home with beautiful rooms and all the staff seem really nice and caring.
Best wishes.
Very professional staff, always on hand, polite and helpful. Nice comfortable environment. Good size dining area and well-maintained rooms. Would definitely recommend this care home. Was advised from start to finish how everything would work. Was all done very smoothly and in a timely manner.
Thank you so much for your fantastic feedback about Lucton House. It is our pleasure to care for your Grandfather and provide him with a level of support to help him live his best life with us. We really appreciate your kind comments about our wonderful team and our beautiful care...
Thanks.
Thank you so much for trusting us with your father's care, we understand just how difficult the decision process regarding care can be. I will pass this on to the team who I know will appreciate the recognition for their hard work. It is a pleasure to have your father at Lucton House and for the support you give.
All members of staff are very polite and friendly. Even the service users are really nice and friendly too. Mom has a good few friends in Lucton House and has only been residing there for a month. Mom loves where she is as there's so much to do and different people to talk to. Mom has her hair done every Friday (Mom loves looking nice ). Mom has also had her feet pedicured. So grateful to you Lucton House for taking excellent care of my Mom.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review, we really appreciate your comments and are so pleased that you feel so comfortable with your Mother here with us. Fridays are everyone's favorite day as we have the hairdresser coming in and there's fish and chips. I will share your comments with the team. Thank you again from all the staff here at Lucton House.
I like living at Lucton House and it is home from home.
We are very pleased with the way that mum is cared for by the home's staff. She has been there for a year and is well settled. Any time she has had an issue (only ever minor) it has been dealt with quickly and to mum's satisfaction. Her needs and limitations are so well known by the staff that they take every opportunity to ensure she is provided with what she likes and is made to feel that she can take part in activities. We are so pleased that mum made the decision to move to Lucton.
We're delighted with the care being provided for mum at Lucton House. The staff could not be more helpful and are extremely kind. Mum has settled in well since arriving in late December. The management team are professional, hard-working, and friendly, which sets the tone for the warm and supportive environment which is fostered there. It's obvious to me, having watched the managers and carers interact with residents, that they genuinely care about and have a strong bond with the people who live there. It’s lovely to see, making the decision to move mum to residential care so much easier. Mum has her own flat, with lounge, kitchen, and bedroom, which is clean, spacious, and relaxing. The facilities are excellent: there’s a dining room, lounge, hairdressing salon, and bar, with activities every day. Mum’s loving the food, despite eating little at home! When I say goodbye, it’s like leaving her with family. What greater compliment can you pay a care home? Thanks, Lucton House, for everything!
On the whole very pleased. A bit disappointed with the nursing as my husband came home and his catheter was not in correctly, and he was in a great deal of pain until it was corrected by our nurse.
Thank you for taking the time out to leave a review. We are sorry to hear that your husband experienced discomfort upon returning home. We are aware of this situation and have contacted the management of the district nurses as they had provided the nursing care for your husband. We will now ensure...
On collecting my mum after 2 weeks respite, she's like a new woman. I'm over the moon with the care she has received and how well she looks.
