Lucton House has a lovely, homely feel. The staff are always pleasant, always keep me informed if anything is wrong with Mom. Great food, good activities programme. Although my mom likes to stay in her flat, everyone knows her very well.


I feel Mom is well looked after, and I leave knowing she is

being well cared for and safe. Lovely room.

Everyone in the home seems very happy. There is always a lovely friendly atmosphere when we go to visit. The staff are very caring and helpful.

Staff are friendly and welcoming on arrival. They speak compassionately to the residents and do a good job in what can be difficult and upsetting circumstances. Unfortunately, there have been occasions when Mum's belongings have gone missing and not recovered - glasses, clothing, towels (all labelled),
however, we do realise that this can happen in all care homes.

I would recommend Lucton House to any of my family that need care. The staff are great and do their best to keep the residents happy. I would be happy to live here myself so save me a place!

Mom has been a resident at Lucton House for about 18 months and she is very happy here, so if she is happy then we, her family, are happy too. There is always plenty of entertainment going on at the home, and bingo is Mom's favourite pastime.


The carers are kind and helpful and is a well-run home.

I was so nervous about my Dad going into a permanent care home. However, within days I knew that we had made exactly the right decision and my fears and worries disappeared! My Dad is so well looked after and cared for at Lucton House. He is treated with dignity and as an individual and he has told
me he feels safe and happy. There are days now when I can see a glimmer of Dad before dementia and this makes me so happy. Thank you to everyone at Lucton House.

I have to say that all changes that have been implemented by the management, who have led to a massive improvement to Lucton House. It is a lovely place to visit, all the care staff are very friendly and willing to help with any needs of the residents. I have no concerns, only praise for the Lucton

The welcome into Lucton is genuine from all staff. The choice of food is so appreciated by your residents. I enjoy seeing respect given to my own relative by staff. The approach to residents has sincerity. I have valued the different activities planned for all; difficult with such a mixed group of some

In a very short period of time, two weeks to be precise, my mum has become very happy, relaxed and at ease. Mum has dementia and gets confused very quickly especially in surroundings that are unfamiliar, so I had many worries about leaving her to begin with. Mum began to show signs of happiness within
a couple of days. The staff are all angels and the management first class, they all show a massive degree of understanding, patience and care. I can't thank them all enough for making mum smile.

Since visiting a friend in Lucton House I have found all the staff very friendly and helpful.
The staff are very responsive to requests for care and attention.
The friend I visit has settled very well into this caring environment.

Overall we are happy with the care received and she is very happy living here. More recently the atmosphere of the home has seemed more positive amongst the staff. One new member has been particularly considerate and caring. The food is always commented on favourably. Room cleanliness could sometimes
be better in all areas.

Mum stayed at Lucton House for two years, she thought of it as her home and didn't want to leave but her health deteriorated and required nursing care. The care staff are lovely and often go above and beyond, if mum gets better I would love to bring mum back home to Lucton House.

Mum had a trial week to see if she was ready for a care home. She though the care staff were fabulous, very natural and caring. However, shes's not quite ready for permanent care and is looking forward to being back in her own home, but is well rested and has enjoyed the experience.

My mother has needed a great deal of care since coming here. The staff, without exception, have been caring, attentive and professional. Mother considers it home here and doesn't want to ever leave and as family members, we feel she couldn't get better care anywhere else.

I have been very happy with the care my mother has received over the last year. She settled in very easily and always comments on how kind everyone is.

My mother has now been in care for the best part of 3 months and the change has been nothing more than amazing. Both my sister in law and I couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention she receives. I have got to know most of the staff and they all go about their tasks in a thorough and professional

My father spent three weeks in respite at Lucton House. He was not keen to leave his home and not happy to go into respite whilst I was on holiday. It turned out to be a very enjoyable experience for him, the staff and atmosphere of the care home was extremely friendly, could not find fault in anything.


Since

my father has been back in his home, he has felt lonely and insecure and is asking for a full-time place in Lucton house. Hopefully, we will be able to fulfil his wishes and he will be able to spend the last years of his life where he is happy and extremely well looked after.
