Lovely staff, great facilities. My nan is very happy here. Everything is always clean and staff are very friendly.

Since Dad has been at Lucton House he is a changed man. He is doing things that he has never done before, like colouring, painting, participating in the general activities. I don't know how the staff manage to get him to agree! Because I can't. Dad is looked after very well and I know that if anything
was wrong, I would always get a call from one of the staff. They are all very pleasant and there is always someone around should you need help. They have even helped me when I was struggling with everything that was going on, which I am so grateful for. They are like my second family. Keep it up! and thank you.

I visit my friend on a regular basis and she is always happy and in good spirits. She has no complaints about the home. She says the food is good. She enjoys spending most of her time in the common room, as she likes being in company. She gets on well with all the staff.

Staff are very caring and respectful. Sometimes carers don't always do all the tasks required.
On-site management is excellent. Very well-led.
Main organisational finance person/team can try to practice "sharp practice."
However on-site finance very good and helpful.

I came to Lucton House from hospital four months ago, unable to walk and in need of regular medication and visits from district nurses. The transition was kind and welcoming and my care and recovery have remained well-organised. My surroundings have been comfortable and peaceful and all the staff have
been kind, helpful and supportive. The garden would benefit from some beautifying - safe paths and flowers for residents to be able to be out and enjoy the green space.

Every time I have come to visit my auntie I have always been impressed at how kind the staff are and how well cared for she is. The staff seem to genuinely care for her and she is always telling me about the lovely activities they have there for residents. On a previous visit, I sat with her for lunch
and was also impressed at the communication cards used for displaying food options as they were really helpful. Overall I think this is an amazing place and they have really gone above and beyond, providing opportunity for my Auntie to have a better quality of life.

I would like to thank the manager, deputy manager and all the care staff at Lucton House. When you walk through the front door, you are met with friendly faces. The manager's door is always open. My father appears to be very happy there. The food looks great, and I know that my father really enjoys
it.

I attended a birthday party for a resident during the month of November and I have to say how impressed I was with Lucton House. The staff were extremely attentive to the needs of the residents and visitors alike. The residents were constantly kept engaged with staff encouraging them to join in the
celebrations. The facility was very secure and clean. A lovely buffet was provided for residents and guests alike. I only looked at one room but it was very spacious and had its own kitchen area, bathroom and bedroom. I would absolutely recommend the home.

Lucton House is a wonderful care home in a very quiet setting. The home is very secure keeping all the residents safe and sound. Having my own family member go into a home (April 2020) was such a tough decision to be a party to, and to leave a loved one in the hands of other people fills you with a
lot of anxiety. However the level of care has been and continues to be brilliant, the staff are always pleasant and cheerful. The residents are always occupied every day with a multitude of activities and treated with the greatest respect by all the staff too. The home is very clean and bright and has great facilities for the residents, such as a pub, gardens and a hairdresser. The resident apartments are pleasant and self-contained, they are always checked on regularly by the staff when not in the communal areas. Finally, the management team, have been excellent. They are always approachable, welcoming on visits and always willing to help or answer queries.

I cannot recommend this care home enough. From the moment we viewed this home for my grandfather, we knew that it was where we wanted him to be.
My grandfather is 95 years old and was reluctant to move into a care home after so long living independently. However, after two short weeks in the home,
he has settled amazingly. He has told us how the staff have looked after him and attended to his needs.
He has described the food as ‘delicious’ and has his own self-contained apartment that he has been able to personalise.
As his family, this is all we could have hoped for in what has been a really difficult decision.
Lucton House is a special place, with special people and I would not hesitate to recommend it for anyone looking for care.

My elderly friend of 20 years, recently moved to Lucton House. I was really worried when I first learned that he was going into a home. From my first visit, I began to feel at ease and since then I have visited numerous times and have been overwhelmed by the improvement in him as a result of the exceptional
care he has received. All the staff are wonderful, very friendly, helpful and kind. Lucton House is exceptionally clean. The staff always make me feel welcome when I visit. I was fortunate to visit on Valentine's Day when they had arranged for a singer to come in, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend this care home to other people.
