Dad came to Maple Dene from this family home of 50 + as part of a relocation to be near family and to have more support with day-to-day living. Dad is happy in his lovely flat. Staff are kind and respect his autonomy/privacy while ensuring his needs are met. It's been a big change for dad, but we have felt so reassured that the staff are looking after him well. Thank you!

My mother is a resident in the care home and has been for some time now. The care she receives there is faultless. The staff are amazing and attentive to her needs and fully understand her health issues.
There is always a lovely atmosphere in the home when I visit.
The daily calendar in the home is full with activities for the residents and all are encouraged to partake.
The home is kept clean, tidy and kept in tip top condition.
The menu's are varied and cater for my mothers needs.

I cannot fault Maple Dene care home and I cannot see my mother being anywhere else. Keep up the amazing work!!

I cannot fault the care and attention of the staff and management - prompt to deal with any concerns I may have, updating me as to my mother's care and needs, and ensuring that my mother is well looked after. There are twice daily activities for the residents and then events to which family and friends are invited. The musical afternoons are a delight and to see my mum remember the words to songs she would sing along to many years ago makes me so happy. The staff are friendly and welcoming and I am so pleased that I was able to find such a good home (and I use the word home as in a home as well as a care home) for my mum. Thank you all

I have nothing but praise for Maple Dene, it is the best care home in Birmingham that I have visited. The staff are always warm, welcoming and nothing is 'too much' trouble. The home itself is clean, warm and has a lovely homely feel. The team work hard to make regular improvements all the time including a new pergola in the garden this summer. There are fantastic activities put on for residents including a chair-based exercise class and staff are always happy to help facilitate exercise programmes prescribed by health professionals. The food looks fantastic. I genuinely can't fault it, the staff all really genuinely care, I'd highly recommend this care home to anyone.

As soon as my sister and I stepped into Maple Dene in order to view it, we looked at each other and said, almost in tandem, "this is really nice." It felt bright, cheery and friendly. As we looked around we both thought that it was the best care home we'd ever visited and this opinion only got stronger over the 11 months my husband, struggling with dementia, spent there.

Every member of staff was kind, caring, patient and compassionate. It was gratifying to see how they really treated my husband as an individual, adapting things to best suit his needs. He was always treated with respect but they made things fun for him too.

Sadly, in the last few months his mental and physical health deteriorated, but I was very grateful that he was able to stay at Maple Dene right to the end. His final day was a beautiful, peaceful one for us both. The staff were extremely gentle in looking after him in his final hours and so kind to us both.

Dad moved into Maple Dene in 2022 after being widowed after 67 years of marriage so moving into a Care Home was a huge change for him. It took him a while to settle to his 'new life' at the age of 93 but the staff were so caring and patient and did everything they could to integrate him into life at Maple Dene. Activities were organised twice every day and Dad particularly enjoyed the bingo games. The food was excellent and is served in a lovely dining room. The staff were so kind and caring and took time to get to know him. In the residents' review that Dad completed after being there for 18 months, he said he was happy there and would recommend it to anyone who couldn't stay in their own home.

When Dad became ill, the care that he received was so loving and compassionate. We live a distance away but received regular update phone calls making us feel completely informed of what was happening. We can't thank the carers enough for how wonderfully Dad was looked after in his final days.

My dad and his partner, both in their 90's came to live at Maple Dene last summer to be closer to me. From the very start the manager and her team made them both feel welcome and cared for. The staff are attentive and efficient whilst also being warm, friendly and supportive. They were able to bring their own furniture and personalise their flat, which is lovely, over looking the garden. The garden is large, with an orchard, benches and quiet areas all accessible for wheelchairs.
In December my dads partner sadly passed away and I can't thank the team enough for the care and support they gave to him and to me at that very difficult time.

It is not an easy decision to move loved ones from their own home to a care home, and I am very grateful for the support and understanding everyone at Maple Dene has shown towards my dad and my family

My mom is in her 5th year at Maple Dene. Throughout this time the care, attention and respect shown to her by all the staff have been exceptional. They do all they can to ensure all the residents have the best possible stay. We are delighted that we chose Maple Dene to become her new home. It has the professional, safe, caring family-orientated environment that we hoped for.

My mum was a resident of Mapledene for 12 months. During this. Mum was well cared for and shown respect and treated with dignity. Mum particularly loved the garden area which had beautiful mature trees and plants. Also lots of seating areas in both the sunshine and shade. The garden was very well maintained and easy to access for wheelchairs. Mom loved the food on the kitchen staff and all were really friendly. The rooms were kept clean and the laundry always smelt lovely and fresh. The care staff are exceptional so many of them go well over and above. Also, make the family feel welcome. Some great entertainment. Highly recommend Maple Dean. Management and staff friendly and professional.

My mother-in-law resided at Maple Dene for the last 12 months. The staff throughout the home made her welcome and helped her to settle in after 65 years of living in her own home. That she adapted so quickly at the grand age of 95 is due to the exceptional care and attention she received every day without fail. I cannot commend you all highly enough as a professional care team with excellent leadership and caring carers.

I visited my aunty yesterday at Maple Dene. I have been in the care sector myself for over 32 years and have visited many care home establishments during this time. I wanted to let you know how impressed I am with Maple Dene. The staff, the food, the entertainment and overall appearance is 110%. The residents were all praising their new homes and it has a wonderful atmosphere. My aunty looks really well and cannot believe how much she loves her new home. A big congratulations to everyone involved.

Hard to put into words the extent of our gratitude to all at Maple Dene. Residents are cared for with a huge amount of respect and dignity. Staff really get to know each resident as an individual. On the first visit, we could really feel the warm and welcoming environment. Staff really are exceptional and incredibly caring people and we cannot thank them enough for making our dear Dad so comfortable, happy and relaxed after no longer being able to manage in his own home. The transition from home to Maple Dene was made so much easier for him and us by the wonderful staff and residents making him feel like one of the family. A man who was usually quite shy actually made friends and took part in life at Maple Dene quite easily. He felt comfortable and relaxed in his flat and was enjoying making a new home for himself. So sad that his time at Maple Dene was cut short after losing him unexpectedly, but we are forever grateful he was able to be one of the Maple Dene family for the time he had.

My father came to Maple Dene following the death of my mum in 2021. He has always been well cared for and happy at Maple Dene. In the last 6 months, as his health has been failing their care of him has been exemplary. When he died this month they treated him and us with love, dignity and respect.

Dad only arrived a few days ago for respite care and already he looks so well and cared for! The staff are really attentive with nothing being too much trouble. Dad says the staff are 'exceptional' and describes the food as 'excellent' - he's never eaten so much! We can't express enough how thankful we are for Dad to be in such a caring, happy, well-run home.
