The team at Lammas House are proud to be a CQC Outstanding rated home in Coventry (January 2019), and when you visit you can see why. Passionate about enriching the lives of their residents, many of the staff have been with the home for over ten years.

Providing residential care, they also offer pre-bookable respite care breaks. These are ideal for carers who would like to take a short break themselves, with the peace of mind of knowing their loved one is being well cared for and enjoying a break of their own.

The team creates so many activities and experiences which bring joy to their residents. From animal therapy and baking to growing their own fruit, vegetables and herbs, which are then used by the chef in the kitchen.

There is also a Lammas House Choir, who fill the home with the sound of music and perform for their loved ones, a book club and knit and natter group.

And talking of food, the chef prepares delicious, home-cooked meals, from roast dinners with all the trimmings, freshly made soups and lighter bites to themed menus for special occasions. He also creates home-made cocktails and there are freshly baked treats each day for afternoon tea.

Lammas House also offers private dining, where residents and their loved ones can enjoy a delicious three-course meal, prepared by the home’s chef, in a quiet lounge with a bottle of wine.

The team are passionate about the residents having a very active role to play in how their home is run. There is a resident ambassador who does everything from chairing residents’ meetings and providing feedback to the team, to welcoming new residents and families.

The local community are embraced into life in the home, with local school children visiting regularly to sing for the residents and take part in activities.

There is also a hair salon for weekly appointments with a mobile hairdresser. A chiropodist also visits for regular appointments.

My mother Maura was a resident of Lammas House, Coundon, Coventry for 2 years, and unfortunately she passed peacefully in May 2026.

During her time at Lammas I cannot fault the standard of care my mother received. All the staff where highly invested in making sure that all residents where treated

with the highest standard of care and dignity they deserve. It gave me and my family a great peace of mind to know my mum in her final years / days/ hours was in such good hands still creating many happy memories.

I want to particularly highlight 2 members of staff Pauline and Sharon, who took a special caring interest in my mother making sure she had all the care she could wish for!

Once again I would fully endorse Lammas House for any relative who is searching for a high quality care provision for a loved one.

My mum is recovering from major medical events and has complex needs. All the staff at Lammas House have been wonderful going above and beyond to provide the higher level of care that she currently requires post hospitalization. All my family feel very reassured that she is in such a caring place and

Mum has had a 3 month respite stay whilst we have been carrying out extensive work on her house to adapt it to her future needs.
Whilst she was a little nervous before going to stay I have to say I am very pleased about how much she had enjoyed her time there. She has made friends with both staff and
residents and has enjoyed exceptional care.
The staff are kind and sussed out her needs very quickly. They helped her socialise and have ensured she enjoys activities. She has enjoyed the food and I am sure will visit the friends she has made when she leaves.

My aunt moved into Lammas House in February 2020 immediately prior to the Covid 19 restrictions coming into place. We do not live locally and our aunt has no other relatives to care for her so it was literally a lifesaver for her.
She has lived there since very contentedly and the care she has received
has been first class. The staff are wonderful and contact us immediately if there is any need to do so which gives us great peace of mind.
The home itself is maintained impeccably and the thought that goes into the activities for the residents is fantastic.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of the wonderful staff.

From Initial enquiry at company main number to Lammas house management we have had a great 1st impression. We had very speedy arrangement to look around and answer all our questions. After home assessment we were offered a place for my mother in law . The staff in home are all very welcoming and her
Key worker is lovely. The range of activities is varied and quite inclusive. The Handyman Shane was amazing and on hand instantly as we got room ready for my Mother on law and hung all her pictures. By the the time ( 2hrs ) we bought my MIL to her room it looked very homely . She is a very independent lady and at 93 still likes to keep some level of independence but staff on hand to offer assistance which she really does require now . Food is excellent from what ive seen and chef communicates with residents and I hear him telling them what he cooked for them
There is regular Tea and cake rounds and always offer a cuppa to visitors too. Ran out of words! Only downside is not a good bed

We would like to say how happy mum is since she moved into Lammas house. She has actually thrived and seems to enjoy the activities put on my various people. As we live abroad, we have minimum contact with staff directly, but from other family members, the staff have been amazing with mum. A big thank
you to Sharon for help whilst we are away.

Mum has been exceptionally well looked after since arriving in Sept 25. The staff have been very kind, patient and respectful, they take time to get to know her and encourage her to socialise and include her in the wide variety of activities available. The food is tasty, plentiful and always a good
choice available. Mum has also had quite a few health issues, the staff and local gp have dealt with these efficiently and with great care.

My mum has received outstanding care at this home, and I honestly can't thank the staff enough.
From day one, everyone has been kind, patient, and genuinely caring - not just doing a job, but treating my mum with real dignity and respect. The staff take the time to know her as a person, not just a
resident, and that has made all the difference to her happiness and wellbeing.
Communication with the family has been excellent. We're always kept informed, and any questions or concerns are dealt with quickly and thoughtfully. It gives such peace of mind knowing she's safe, comfortable, and so well looked after.
The home itself is clean, welcoming, and well run, and there's a lovely atmosphere - calm, friendly, and supportive. It truly feels like a place where people are cared for, not just housed.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a safe, compassionate, and professional environment for their loved one. We're incredibly grateful for everything they do.

My mum has just spent 5 weeks at Lammas House for a short term care stay. Everyone at this particular care home understand the word 'care'. Mum was extremely well looked after. Staff are extremely friendly and go above and beyond. It was such a reassurance to know she was staying in a place where every
member of staff is a credit to the company. The room, with its own front door was always immaculate and mum really enjoyed the food and the interaction with the staff. The chef introducing himself to her was a lovely touch. The VE Day was a memorable event for everyone there which was great for sharing personal stories of their memories of WW2, and great for us to hear too.
Mum was treated with dignity and care at all times. As we took her home at the end of her stay it was obvious to see how much care every member of staff has for her and for us as her family too. I would have no hesitation in recommending Lammas House to anyone looking for a care home facility.
Thank you.

If you're looking for a care home for a loved one, Lammas House ticks all the right boxes.
The rooms are spotlessly clean, the staff are excellent and really do care about the residents' requirements.
They organise daily activities and encourage all the residents to get involved. The food is excellent

Mum moved into Lammas House earlier this year and was made welcome. Her freshly decorated, comfortable room was beautiful. Staff made every effort to get to know Mum and encouraged her involvement in the range of varied activities available. In addition, time and attention were spent ensuring that mum's
dietary needs were met and delicious tasty meals were offered which we know she enjoyed. Sadly Mum's condition deteriorated and we were told after a recent hospital admission that Mum was at the end of her life.
During this painful and difficult time, the support provided to Mum and our family was exceptional. Staff went above and beyond to meet the needs of the whole family whilst we stayed with Mum during the final days of her life, providing choice, care, food and drink in a respectful and sensitive manner. It is so hard to put into words what that meant to our family. We will never forget the care shown, it will stay with us forever.
To the incredible staff at Lammas, we thank you all.

My aunt needed temporary respite care following a fall, and is spending a few weeks to recover at Lammas House. She has been very well cared for, and the staff have been wonderful. She has had her hair done a few times, and looks lovely, and has participated in some of the activities offered by the
team.
The meals are freshly cooked, and she has eaten meals in the restaurant and her own room. Every staff member I've met has been helpful, polite and pleasant.
I live many miles away, and can only visit once a week, and the Lammas Team were able to arrange transport and an escort to take my aunt for a hospital scan, which was a huge help. They are able to set up a petty cash arrangement so can purchase toiletries etc when needed for her. They have also arranged for the GP that covers Lammas House to see her, and they manage her medication.
The support I have been given in person and through calls and emails, especially from two members of staff in particular has been fantastic.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.821) out of 10 for Lammas House Residential Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 16 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.921 for Lammas House Residential Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (177 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 191 Ratings = 4.921
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Lammas House Residential Care Home is based on 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 23 registered maximum number of service users is 4.6, which has been reached with 16 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
