Staff have coped excellently with all the problems caused by the coronavirus crisis. Management is inspirational.

It was great to see mum and sit with her, socially distanced of course. Mum looked very well and said she is enjoying the food but that there isn't much to do. We know she isn't remembering much though and from the lovely newsletters we've been receiving we know there are activities that mum has participated in. Overall we are very happy with the standard of care mum is receiving.

Excellent care provided, very encouraging, staff are very caring. Very happy with the care being provided, would recommend them to anyone in the situation we were in; very impressed!

My dad describes himself as living in a lovely hotel, everything is clean and well maintained. The staff could not be more helpful. As a visitor I am welcomed by professional staff who are lovely, caring people. Great leadership is shown by the manager. Thank you all.

This home is only relevant if you have money and do not suffer from any conditions such as dementia. They are very keen to part with your money and very demanding about getting it and do not part with any monies owing to residents that leave. They know the bureaucracy they need to follow and follow it rigidly, I would not recommend this place.

My mother has now been at Lammas House for three years and I thought that they could not exceed the wonderful care and attention that they have consistently given over that time. The manager personifies every attribute you could wish for and her care, commitment and dedication resonate throughout the staff and the home. The care staff, kitchen staff and domestic staff work so hard and have so much affection for their residents - they are all so open and approachable; the activities co-ordinator is an absolute joy. Then Covid-19 arrived, and my worst nightmare of not being able to visit my mum came true, but there is nowhere else I would wish her to be. They are truly outstanding in their efforts to bring joy to the residents and make up for the absence of family. They have made every effort to make any permissible contact possible and send a weekly newsletter to reassure us. Thank you Lammas House, I feel truly blessed in these terrible times.

A small home which feels like a home from home - not an impersonal 'hotel'

Lammas is always clean, with appetising meals and plenty of social activities.

I have been impressed with the level of care and support provided by all members of staff in whatever capacity and also by the variety of activities on offer to the residents.

You have been extremely helpful, thoughtful and friendly - a pleasure to deal with.

I thank them all. Also having a great manager makes it the best.

My mum entered Lammas House in January 2019 after a stay in hospital due to continuous falls at home, she has settled in very well and the staff are extremely kind and respectful of residents. She has had excellent care and attention to her medical needs she is happy and enjoys the company of the other residents. She is always talking about the meals which are varied and tasty we are lucky to have obtained a place at Lammas House.

There is a feeling of security and safety knowing that your relative is getting good care.

My sister is very contented here and we can see why.

Mother has been in Lammas House for 6 months and settled in very well. All the staff are very friendly. We feel we can visit any time and are welcome. A real home from home.

She has presented some challenges in terms of managing her medical conditions and her behaviour but the staff have approached every challenge with a will to find solutions. They have also been friendly and welcoming to my sister and me. We are very thankful that Lammas House had a vacancy at the time we needed it.

Lammas House is a small home run by a dedicated team, many of whom have worked there for many years. As such they give a very personal and friendly service and add those extra special touches to ensure that residents feel loved and wanted, are well looked after and part of a very special family. Mother, now 97. is the 3rd member of our family to have been a resident there and she is very content in her warm and comfortable room, with her own front door. She has a good appetite and the attractive menu of home cooked food and special "treats" make meal times something she looks forward to and enjoys. Because of poor hearing and eye-sight she is not a great mixer and only occasionally attends the daily social events, but she is always encouraged to join in and always there on special occasions that are celebrated. The care home is always spotlessly clean, family and friends are encouraged to visit and always made welcome. Communication over any welfare issues is also excellent.
