My mum had to go into care as she has vascular dementia. It was a heartbreaking decision for the family. The staff there are very caring and friendly. She has settled in even though she says she doesn't like it there and doesn't want to be there. She is very confused about the dementia. It is a horrible
disease. She joins in with the activities and looks very happy in the photos that are posted in the home. It helps the family to know that our mum is being looked after well. I can't praise the staff highly enough for the great work that they are doing.

My mom was a resident until she went into hospital, then this care home refused to accept my mom back which meant finding a new home for her. My mom is dying and needs nursing care which this home clearly knew from day one so because she had a couple of ambulances and was taken to hospital because she
couldn't breathe, which she does have terminal lung cancer and COPD. This home refused to have her back which caused my mom so much upset as she had just really settled there and to have to find a new home. I wouldn't certainly put any of my family members in this place, always short staffed meals are freezing cold and when they get challenged on things by family members they don't like it, and that's another reason I think they didn't want my mom back as they were challenged over the stuff what was going missing out my mom's room.

We understand your disappointment that we couldn't re-admit your mother. We take some reassurance in the fact that you wanted her to come back after her stay in hospital, but unfortunately, she required a higher level of nursing care at that point and we did not have any rooms available in our dedicated nursing unit. We genuinely would have loved to welcome your mother back into the home, but we took this difficult decision as we strongly felt this was in her best interest from a clinical perspective.

A very nice place to be living. I like all the staff, they are all very friendly. The rooms are very clean. If I get sick, I would like to live here myself.

My mother has been at Hilltop Lodge for a number of years now. She has been happy here. All staff have been wonderful and treat residents with care, consideration and kindness. Everywhere is clean and tidy. Food is appropriate for their needs. Plenty of social activities.

Our uncle came into Hilltop Lodge with dementia, we could not have found a better care home for him. The staff was very kind and caring in all aspects, senior staff were very kind and looked after him very well. We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a home. It was full of care and

Mum has lived at Hilltop Lodge for three years now. She was taken very ill at the beginning of the year and we were told by the hospital she would not survive. Only through the dedication, love and care of all the staff Mum is here now doing extremely well. They are all lovely and kind to her and the

My father is very well-looked after by all of the staff.
I am kept informed at all times of his wellbeing and how he is getting on with his diet etc. and if he is feeling unwell.
The staff make sure all of his medication is taken at the correct times of the day.

I have found the home to be more than satisfactory. The staff are pleasant, helpful and caring. My father-in-law is happy to be here and enjoys the activities that are available on a day to day basis. The food is plentiful and well cooked and presented. I have no qualms as to my father-in-law's residency
here.

My mom was taken to Hilltop Lodge on a short-term assessment stay. When she arrived she could walk assisted to the toilet. Upon arrival, she was put into bed and there she stayed for 3 weeks. I kept asking about my mom being got up but just kept being told they were waiting for physio. Therefore, my
mom lost all strength and use of her legs. She has been readmitted to the hospital with stomach problems, fully dehydrated, and her bottom covered in moisture lesions. Please do not let any of your relatives go there. It breaks my heart to see how my mom has suffered.

I have found the management and staff at Hilltop Lodge to be excellent in their support and care of my dear brother, who has resided here for over two years.

Excellent service by staff and management. They have provided a fantastic service in looking after my brother and I cannot thank them enough for taking such wonderful care and support to my brother. So happy to have found such a wonderful home for our mother. Nothing was too much trouble and we knew that she was always in good hands. Any incidents were reported to us immediately and plans were put in place so that they did not reoccur. All of the staff showed such care towards Mum and she was happy.
She was always smiling and never expressed any negative feelings toward where she was. Mum was always clean and was able to take part in activities to stimulate her. We cannot thank the staff enough.
