Nestled in the popular outskirts of Cradley Heath in the West Midlands, Roxburgh House Care Home offers personalised residential and residential dementia care to older people.

Community is a fundamental part of life at Roxburgh House. The team understand how important it is to maintain relationships with the wider community and so they regularly organise opportunities for residents to get involved, including events with local schools, charities and businesses in the area.

Tastefully decorated, this friendly home also offers a range of onsite facilities including a hair salon and quiet room.

Mum is clearly loved, well looked after and happy.
All of the carers know about her particular likes and dislikes because they all interact with her regularly and pass things on through good communication.
I like visiting very much because it's a warm and friendly home - and the food's great too.

This is a wonderful care home. Our whole experience from start to finish has been nothing but positive. All the staff are very good and in particular the care staff who treat our loved ones with empathy, dignity and respect. The food and choices are excellent, the interaction of staff with residents
and the organised activities are fantastic. My mother thoroughly enjoyed her stay here and was sad to leave. I cannot speak highly enough of this home and would recommend it to anyone looking for a home either for themselves or a loved one.

My uncle and I viewed this home back in early July we were both greeted with friendly staff and the offer of a drink. We chose Roxburgh House, but Mom was unable to come. So I bought her a week later. Then Mom moved in on 16/07/2025.
I cannot praise the home enough. My mom is settled well and has
made friends quite quickly. Not only do all the staff care for my mom, they are also very supportive to myself. I know my mom is in safe hands, which helps me accept the discission my mom made.

My mum has been a resident since November 2023. In that time I've seen her treated with nothing but kindness and love, she has Alzheimer's, a horrible condition and one that I was unprepared for. Roxburgh has held my hand and helped me cope with everything. Mum is happy and settled, calm and well cared
for. The food is always nutritious and delicious. I cannot praise Roxburgh enough.

My mum has been a resident at Roxburgh for 2 and a half years. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Mum has been so happy at Roxburgh. The staff and outstanding manager provide excellent care for her. They are always letting me know how she is if I call, everyone know are and can update me straight
away. I love that Mum is encouraged to join in all activities and I am really happy with how cared for Mum is.

My husband (resident) passed away at Roxburgh and all the staff have been wonderful. Having phoned in a couple of times since his passing, they have been so welcoming and friendly. He was only there four months, but we as a family have been so pleased with his stay there and have heard so many very
good comments from outsiders about Roxburgh at Cradley Heath.

Since moving into Roxburgh House Care Home my father-in-law has come on leaps and bounds and is thriving. He is happy, well and settled. He joins in with the activities which he has not done for years living on his own he declined both mentally and physically and now in a community setting he is improving.
The staff have been so welcoming and always greet you at each visit. Most importantly, as a family, we feel he is safe.

My partner and I cannot stress enough how absolutely brilliant this home is. Dad moved from a care home in Leicester where he was brutally attached by a former resident. The neglect was terrible and we got him moved near to us in Cradley Heath. The Manager and her team made the move stress free. Such
kind people, the staff are amazing, and we are so happy.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.522)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.522) out of 10 for Roxburgh House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.813 for Roxburgh House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (80 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.813
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.709 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Roxburgh House Care Home is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 44 registered maximum number of service users is 8.8. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 8.8 = 0.909
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
