The overall care is excellent but can be a little pricey sometimes. The staff are very good, friendly and helpful.
I am very happy here. Everything is great.
He has just turned 90 and had been used to travelling around the West Midlands alone on his bus pass up to the age of 88.
When he lost his mobility, it began a gradual decline, and various medical conditions and Dementia developed.
I felt that Coton Grange offered him the care and support that he required, in a homely environment, which wasn't always easy given that he was unhappy with his personal predicament..poor health, no mobility, reduced independence, and a touch of dementia.
Despite this, the staff were always positive, friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, he died in early February, but he..like me...would like to thank all staff for their care and kindness...thank you.
My Mother-in-Law has settled into the home much better than we expected, probably due to the lovely staff. If the family had any issues they are were dealt with quickly. She has not once spoken to us about wanting to go back home which is also a positive sign on our part that she is happy there.
Coton Grange has a lovely 'homely' feel. The staff are all friendly and treat the residents with dignity and respect. My mother came here after a fall and was not able to live independently anymore, but has settled in well to Coton Grange. She is content and happy to be here. As a family, we are pleased that our mom is being looked after so well in a safe environment.
Coton Grange is a warm and welcoming care home who looked after my mother for nearly 4 years. During that time the staff at the home cared for my mum with kindness and respect under sometimes very difficult circumstances due to her Alzheimer's. They have an excellent senior management team and because the owners have a hands-on approach they get to know all the residents personally. The management team are very approachable and are always willing to listen to and discuss any issues that may arise. The staff have the best interests of the residences at heart and are open to new ideas or suggestions from the families on how to cope with their loved ones. During the last week of my mum's life, the support from the staff was overwhelming and l could not fault the care or support they offered us as a family during such an emotional time.
The welcome to my father to enable him to feel settled was excellent from the staff.
The staff always try their best to solve any issues.
The staff are very caring and interact with residents very well. Peaceful location and surroundings.
I like my privacy. I like to read the newspaper or read in my bedroom. However, the staff will still check on me and bring me a lovely cup of tea. I have only been here for a month but in that period of time the staff are very attentive and the food is beautiful. The carers always assure I have a shave and that I look representable. They always give me my dignity in any personal care.
There was always a welcoming smile on arrival and we were always treated in a friendly manner. The staff had infinite patience and cared for their patients as individuals. The home itself is situated in a countrified spot and is surrounded with lawns and flower beds.
This was the second home my relative had stayed within the course of a year so it was important to us that the move would not cause unnecessary upset. The staff made them feel very welcome when they arrived and made the transition of moving to new surroundings as stress free as possible. The staff were always on hand to answer any questions and concerns and they also informed me of any incidents straight away. They were always clean and dentist, eye, chiropodist and hairdressing were always available which I was very pleased about as it avoided taking them out to appointments in view of mobility issues. My relative was very happy there and was always content, clean and was always praising the food choices available. When medical issues arose they were dealt with promptly by getting the GP involved and the District Nurses were involved straight away. I was very happy with the care received.
My relative has lived at Coton Grange for several months. He was made to feel very welcome. He settled very quickly and he said he likes living there. He lived in another care home previously but was very unsettled. I don't live locally so only visit the home every few weeks. I telephone regularly and staff are always able to give me a full update. I visited recently for my grandad's birthday and was very pleased with his care. He has been quite poorly lately but staff have ensured he receives good care and support. I have no concerns about the home, the staff are very caring and kind.
