Mom was moved to the Coton house after a stay in hospital. After the initial period of respite care had lapsed we decided that, with her dementia she would benefit by remaining at the care home as a permanent resident. Mom seems to have settled and she has a group of friends. We know that she is safe and being well cared for and the staff seem to have endless patience. We have always been made to feel welcome when visiting, the staff are always busy but are approachable and will find time to talk to us. Wolverhampton council found Mom the place initially and we feel that we were really lucky. There was no question of moving her after the initial period had lapsed.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such kind and thoughtful feedback, and for choosing Coton House as the permanent home for your mum. It means the world to all of us.
We are so pleased to hear your mum has settled well, feels safe, and has built friendships with and other residents....
The home is always clean, tidy and welcoming. We particularly appreciate having different sitting rooms available, allowing residents to choose where they feel most comfortable throughout the day.
The staff are always friendly, welcoming and approachable. Any concerns we have raised have been addressed quickly, and we always feel listened to.
It has been wonderful to see my mother-in-law taking part in different activities and engaging far more than she did at home. Seeing this positive change has been lovely for both her and the family.
Knowing she is safe, comfortable and well cared for gives us great peace of mind. We would happily recommend Coton House to other families looking for care for a loved one.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a wonderful review. It means the world to our whole team.
We are absolutely delighted to hear your mother-in-law is settling so well and feeling comfortable and happy with us. It is wonderful to know she is enjoying our activities and spaces,...
The staff have been welcoming and supportive from the beginning, and it is clear they care about the residents. The home is always clean, comfortable and well maintained.
The biggest difference I have noticed is in my mum herself. She is now joining in with activities, spending time with others and engaging much more than she was at home. Seeing her happier and more involved has been really reassuring.
Any questions or concerns have been dealt with quickly, and the staff are always approachable. Knowing my mum is safe, supported and cared for gives me real peace of mind.
Thank you to everyone at Coton House for the care you provide.
Thank you so much for your lovely review . We are delighted to hear how happy your mum is settling in at Coton House.
It means a great deal to us to know we were the right choice for your family. I will be sharing your kind feedback with the whole team, and we will keep doing all we can to support your mum.
Very positive for care/professionalism mum receives. Lovely staff team - wonderfully impressed by continued activities co-ordinator who engages with all residents to individual needs - wonderful. Care manager is extremely friendly and approachable and visible around the home - nice to see. Keep up the good work and improved standards.
The whole team works hard every day to deliver high standards, kindness and respect to all residents. Your support means a great deal to us, and we will continue to do our very best.
It is always a very hard decision for any family to put a loved one in care.We wanted the right care home for mum and after looking at several Coton House gave us what we were looking for. Mum is cared for exactly how we expected. Her personal care was a priority and she is happy with how the carers have been looking after her. Her room is always clean and her washing is always fresh and folded away properly in the drawers. Obviously at first the settling in period, but mum adapted well. The staff have helped us tremendously to make mum comfortable. The senior staff are very observant with any medical needs and are dealt with professionally. Wonderful ladies. The manager Dee has always made us very welcome and has worked on all mums needs to make her comfortable. She listened to us and has made mum feel at home, and always makes time to listen to mum and the family if there is any concerns. I always leave mum feeling happy and relieved she is in a good home.
It is wonderful to know that we are meeting your expectations, that their room is kept to a high standard, and that the team are providing the...
My mother was transferred to coton house from another care home in October. At first glance the home looked tired. But inside it as a family feel to it and all the staff are friendly and helpful. With a new manager recently appointed and a full time activity coordinator.the home is constantly moving forward and residents and family members are encouraged to attend meetings and have an input. In addition to cooked meals choice of two, tea and snacks are available though out the day.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted your mother is settling in well and enjoying her time at Coton House. It's wonderful to know you appreciate our friendly team, the care we provide and the positive changes we are making. Your feedback mean a great deal to the whole team. I have no qualms about recommending this home. Mom has been there around 18 months and I have always found everyone to be friendly, caring and attentive. Mom is always clean as is her bedroom and all the communal areas ,it is well run and I am happy that my mom is well looked after and her needs are met .
Thank you for your kind feedback. We are delighted to hear that your experience of Coton house has been positive. It is encouraging to know that our team's caring approach, the cleanliness of the home and the standard of support provided have been recognised. We are committed to delivering safe, effective and person-centred care; and feedback such as this is very much valued by the whole team.
I've found this home to be consistent in it's care for my mom She is always clean and dressed in clean clothes. Her room is tidy and clean, her clothes are washed and put away appropriately. A new activity officer has been employed and is very keen and interested in the residents. Moms interest in jigsaw puzzles has been invigorated by her. Staff are caring and watchful. The manager is very nice and caring, knows the residents and is visible. I feel at ease knowing my mom is there and being looked after.

We cannot do it without the support of all our families.
Kind regards,
Well meaning, caring, easy to approach, residents and family come first. Home is clean and tidy and on going improvement. Staff are good natured. Only down side the need for a display name of Coton House on the road way (even Gods waiting room on the gable end in street art - lol)
Dear Mark,
Thank you for your review and feedback. We value all feedback and what lies at the heart of it is our residents. We will share this feedback with all our team. Thank you for your support.
Kind regards,
My Brother spent a little while here, the Staff team and the Manager are so caring and looked after him so well. I didnt think he would settle but was happily surprised how well he got on with everyone. He is now home and doing well. Thanks to all who helped in his recovery.
Thank you for your feedback and kind words. It was a pleasure looking after your brother! We wish him all the best at home. Feel free to pop round for a cup of tea and our activities! All the best
My sister Janice & I, cannot find anything to complain about, the care dad receives is 100% and the carers are lovely to Dad and to us. We wouldn't want dad to be anywhere else and they ring us with any problems he has. Thank you all.
Hi Helen, Thank you so much to you and the family for your honest feedback. This will be shared with the team. Your father is a pleasure to look after! We look forward to seeing you at the home. Best wishes.
From the start (March' 25) The care mum, and me! have received from Coton House has been great. Mum was unable to walk when she arrived. The staff soon had her using a frame to get around. She has had falls but hospital and aftercare has been prompt and effective. I know that mum is looked after and is safe.
Thank you for your feedback, this will be shared with the team. Your mum is a pleasure to look after. Look forward to seeing you at the home and catching up.Best Wishes.
My mum moved here in October 2024 and since then I have been more than happy with the care she has received. The home has a lovely friendly feel about it and the staff are very helpful and always willing to answer any questions. There are a good programme of activities and I'm impressed that families are encouraged to get involved. I would prefer more privacy when I visit but I realise this is not always possible.
Thank you for your feedback, its lovely to hear that you feel confident with our home for mum, and she is a pleasure to look after. We love getting families involved and we always welcome feedback. In regards to wanting more privacy, you can just ask staff to assist you to take mum into a more...
I was sent to Coton House because I had broken my femur and couldn't stand or walk to start with, so required somewhere to stay and be looked after.
Thank you for your review, it was a pleasure you staying with us at Coton House. We hope you are keeping well. Please visit us any time for a catch up and a cup of tea.
Excellent staff, very caring, person-centred care, and nice to relatives. The staff help to facilitate nice birthdays and welcome wider family. He has been treated with dignity and respect and his safety is met, which is most important to me. I am allowed to visit whenever I want but I try and come within the times. The home itself is dated and could do with some improvements. Overall happy.
Hi, Many thanks for your feedback of the service. We endeavour to continue to improve the service and all feedback is welcome. We currently have a rolling renovation programme at the home which we are currently working on. We have already decorated and refurbished the facilities in areas however we...
The staff are professional, efficient, and friendly. There are activities, jigsaws, clay modelling, knitting, sometimes bingo, and a male singer - everyone enjoys this, brings back happy memories for all, and a chance to dance or tap your toes. Very friendly and happy home, where everyone has a good time.
Thank you for your review, we will share your feedback with the team. We are always continually improving and taking feedback on board! The clay modelling was a massive success. Look out for more activities we will have on offer and join in with us! Best Wishes.
I am very pleased with Coton House, my sister was in a very poor staff when she went in there and we thought we were going to lose her, but with the care and attention she got, I am glad to say she rallied round so will always be grateful to them.
Thank you for your review and feedback for our team. We will share this with all and we are also ever so grateful for your support to support us to look after your sister. Best Wishes
Dad is content and very happy we know at Coton House. Thank you all Coton House staff.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we will share them with the team. Your stepfather is a pleasure to look after, and we also feel very supported by you as a family in taking care of him to provide him the person-centered care he deserves. Thank you for everything you do for us too. Kind regards.
Mum's needs have changed so much but the quality of care has not diminished at all it's just got better.
As a family, we are greeted with a smile at the door, kept up to date and always feel welcome.
Louise the assistant manager in particular has been a rock whilst navigating the care package with the Local Authority fighting for Mum quality of care.
I am so grateful to the staff at Coton House and would recommend it to any family looking for care for their loved ones.
Thank you for your feedback and kind words- we will be sure to share with the whole team. Mum is an absolute pleasure to look after, equally, you have been very supportive and fundamental to us in supporting your mum with her changing needs. We have built a great rapport together and we value your...
