When I first came here, I was unable to walk, but with the care of Sunrise and much equipment, I now have my independence with safety.
At Sunrise of Tettanhall our ultimate goal is to provide the best possible level of care we can. From our carers, nurses and activities team we strive to achieve a sociable and comfortable community our residents can call home. We are so happy to see the improvements made by yourself.
I am very happy here and have no complaints. Sometimes the food id not to my liking but that's not the fault of the kitchen - sometimes too much. Everything is done for our well-being and society. I love my daily shower.
Here at Sunrise of Tettenhall, we have worked hard to ensure all of the residents receive the highest quality of care and security within our home. Thank you for your kind words, these will be shared with the team.

My first time was in March 2016. Highly pleasant. After further operations etc, my home care was not up to the necessary standard required, due to changes at home with the medical care needed on a daily basis, etc. So the obvious solution was a return to Sunrise which is where I am resident now, with first-class care in all departments.
Thank you for your kind words. We believe we have a fantastic team here at Sunrise of Tettenhall and your recognition of this is appreciated by every member of our team. By having a whole-home approach here at Sunrise we believe this creates a relaxed and friendly environment for our residents to call home.
Very good care. Very happy with living here. This is the best care home and I wish it was a bit cheaper but very happy.

Activities are well-thought-out, relevant and entertaining. Only reservation is that the food looks poor. I've been at several meals and it's not too appetising (to my taste, anyway).
Our team here at Sunrise of Tettenhall are so grateful for your comments. Our activities co-ordinator and the team work hard to provide engaging and stimulating activities for all of our residents, we are so glad to hear the activities provided are one of your favorite elements of our home.
The care for my mother is fantastic. She is clean, well-fed and really looked after. She goes on outings and takes part in the various activities that are put on. I couldn't ask for better care.

The family has been very pleased with the care that our aunt has received since she came to stay at Sunrise. We are relieved that she is happy here and that her medical needs are also catered for. Without Sunrise our aunt's future would have been very bleak indeed.

Consistently exceptional care and consideration for all the residents. Social support and interaction always evident even if residents are sometimes reluctant to interact.

We look forward to seeing aunty every week. Staff are always pleasant and speak to us. Residents are active and walking around and will speak to us. Aunty enjoys all her meals and will tell us what she has been eating. She is always clean and well dressed. Carers are always popping in to make sure she is ok and she seems reasonably happy.
Our dining team will be thrilled with your lovely comments. Here at Sunrise of Tettenhall, we cater for each resident based on preferences and dietary requirements. Hearing this positive feedback is greatly appreciated by everyone in the community.
The family are fully satisfied with the care Mum is receiving. The staff are so very warm and helpful. The family are kept fully informed as to Mum's health and welfare and are never too busy to chat. Mum is very happy and settled. Thank you all.

We are generally very pleased with the level of care mum received from Sunrise of Tettenhall. The only negatives are the food which needs to improve and also the trays of half-eaten meals and dirty cups and glasses which are left in the halls and walkways for hours and hours.
We are delighted you are happy with the quality care we are providing for your mum. This is always our priority but of course whilst we work equally hard to ensure all other areas are just as good, we sometimes fall a little short. Thanks for your feedback, I’m confident we can react accordingly.
My mother is coming to the end of life and is being looked after with love and care by all the staff. We (the family) are very grateful.

The managers made the admission and transition as simple as possible and from then on the staff have been superb. Mum has never regretted her decision to move to Sunrise. She is well looked after and is now considerably physically stronger and more mentally buoyant than she had been for a long time. All the effort and energy she had been expending in looking after herself and running her home can now be directed into enjoying life.
Nothing in life is completely perfect - but for the care of the elderly Sunrise is the nearest thing to perfection I can imagine. All the worries I have had in the years since Mum turned 90 and became frailer have now completely gone.
Managers, front of house, carers, caterers, nurses, cleaners, launderers all have one focus: Providing the best possible care.
I hope I will live here eventually.
We are thrilled with your positive experience and are so glad your mother has settled in so well to Sunrise of Tettenhall. We take great pride in delivering high-quality care and providing facilities to our residents. Your recognition of this is invaluable to our team, thank you.
We arrived today to find an entertainer for the residents and guests. We all enjoyed the music and refreshments. The staff are always so kind and keep everyone cheerful. Such a good atmosphere.
Your feedback is important to us, as is the care and well-being of all of our residents. We take great pride in ensuring we deliver high-quality care and facilities to make a difference to our residents and their families lives.

Meet the Team (1)

I am a qualified nurse and also have a degree in mental health nursing. I have also completed an accredited leadership course with the Royal College of Nursing.
I have been with Care UK since 2023, and it’s an organisation with a strong ethos and values that are completely focused on delivering high-quality care.
As a home manager, excellent leadership is vital. The key is understanding each resident and each team member, and maintaining open, honest communication with everyone who comes to Hartwood. Working in care takes real commitment, and a leadership position needs a high level of focus and attention to detail, while still being warm and approachable. My door is always open to everyone.
I also believe in leading by example, so I always try to model excellent practice. It is important to fulfil the responsibility and trust placed in me, and I want to ensure every resident has a positive experience here.
I love to see people enjoy themselves. Socialising is so important to a person’s well-being. It’s wonderful to see the bistro filled with relatives and children visiting their loved ones. Life for many people starts again in a care home, and I have seen so many residents over the years find a fresh purpose, make friends and enjoy new hobbies. Being a home manager is a privilege and deeply rewarding. I honestly don’t see this as just a job; it’s a large part of my life, and my workplace is like a second home.
Outside of work, my son and I love going on wildlife walks in the woods. I also enjoy anything that involves animals. I have a large extended family too, so we socialise a lot, which I always look forward to.
