My mom has been a service user for 18 months. She was found to be suffering from Vascular Dementia within a couple of months of going to stay there. She was treated with nothing but kindness, understanding and professionalism by all staff. She was referred to other agencies where appropriate. The staff
are always chatting to the service users and my mom used to have a laugh, a chat and banter with them. Staff, including management, were all approachable, whatever time of day. My mom had to stay at Penn hospital and when she returned to Wentworth Lodge, it was like she had never been away. At Wentworth Lodge, the services users are all treated like family. Unfortunately, after 10 months of Covid came sickness for both service users and staff, who have undertaken extra hours so that agency workers are not used. They are hard-working and professional. My mom sadly passed away on January 20th. There was someone there holding her hand until the end. They are all angels and I will forever be in their debt.

This care facility is excellent, we could not have asked for better. My mother-in-law was treated so well at this residential home, I cannot thank them enough. We will recommend Wentworth Lodge without hesitation.

My father was cared for at Wentworth Lodge for almost two years, he was always clean, well-fed and looked after with kindness and affection.
Thank you to all the wonderful staff who do an amazing job, I don't know what we would have done without you.

This is a lovely care home, with a knowledgeable and joined up workforce. I was impressed right from the initial enquiry.

Mom had reached the age of 96, after a number of serious falls in her own house, Wentworth kindly took on the task of caring and loving my Mother. In this spotlessly clean environment, Mom soon relaxed and I could soon see she lost all of her anxiety, by now she had lost her mobility all together but
this was no fuss to the carers even taking her out to the Pub for Xmas lunch. In her final days, they made her comfortable and I cannot recommend this care home enough. In the 20mths Mom was there it was all regular down to earth trustworthy staff. Thank you.

The owner and staff are amazing. I live a long way from my friend but I get pictures and updates on my friend on a regular basis. I get photos of her out and about looking happy and well. I can't thank them enough for the care to not only the patient but to the loved ones who need reassurance.

Inspection ratings
We rate most services according to how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led they are, using four levels:
Outstanding - the service is performing exceptionally well.
Good - the service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
Requires improvement - the service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
Inadequate - the service is performing badly and we've taken enforcement action against the provider of the service.
No rating/under appeal/rating suspended - there are some services which we can't rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider. Suspended ratings are being reviewed by us and will be published soon.
Ticks and crosses
We don't rate every type of service. For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them.
There's no need for the service to take further action. If this service has not had a CQC inspection since it registered with us, our judgement may be based on our assessment of declarations and evidence supplied by the service.
The service must make improvements.
At least one standard in this area was not being met when we inspected the service and we have taken enforcement action.
Care Quality Commission is responsible for the registration and inspection of social care services in England.
