Ganarew House is situated in a quiet Monmouthshire village and surrounded by attractive countryside, much to the enjoyment of those that receive long-term elderly and specialist care at the facility.

The home can house 36 occupants in total and is suitable for many with mobility issues, with good wheelchair access and staff that are trained in increasing the comfort of residents.

Many of the home's rooms have views over the Wye Valley and all residents benefit from the home's own minibus, which takes them often on trips to local tourist attractions and picturesque landscapes.

My dad has suffered from very poor health over the past couple of months and returned to Ganarew House after a stay in hospital. His care has been outstanding, he has been treated with dignity and looked after so well by everyone at Ganarew House.
We cannot thank everyone enough for their continued
support and kindness for his care and the support they have given us as a family.
Particularly to my mum who spends her days visiting and spending time with dad whilst he is in your care. A huge thank you goes to every single staff member for their exceptional care and kindness.

My mother just recently became a resident at Ganarew House, she is very settled and appears happy each time I visit. The staff are very friendly and easy to approach. My mother's wellbeing has increased immensely, she looks well looked after, is always neat and tidy, ahs clean clothes and her nail and
hair are kept clean. I can also see that she has put on weight.

Ganarew House continues to provide a home for my mother. Her needs are very extreme and yet somehow the wonderful caring staff and managers help her to get through every day.
I cannot thank all the staff enough for everything they do for my mother who is living in her own "hell" and "heaven" throughout
different times each day.

My mother has dementia and has been at this care home since last December. All her needs (including personal needs) are cared for by staff who are extremely good at their job. The staff are very kind and helpful with mum and are also easy to talk to. I know that my mother is being looked after very
well and that she has 24-hour attention.

My mother has been extremely happy at Ganarew. Any deterioration has been hers, not the homes. She is treated with real kindness and has in the past been able to recognise this. She trusts the staff and recognises their benevolent attitude towards her. Her accommodation is pleasant and she has been

My 89-year-old mother has been at Ganarew House for approximately 5 months. She suffers from Alzheimer's and vascular dementia and mostly speaks Spanish. The staff have been very accommodating and empathetic in spite of the language difficulties. The ambience is jovial, warm and caring.

Have found carers very helpful. The care my mother gets is good and food is excellent. Possibly a bit more entertainment and trips out. Can't fault anything there. Very clean, showers regular. Staff lovely.

As our mum deteriorates we have had to ask questions from the staff, for understanding the dementia process. All have been helpful and kind. Generally, anything that concerns us is responded to quickly and with a professional manner. Mum appears cared for and usually clean. However, despite all her
clothes being named we do find her in someone else's trousers!

My experience with Ganarew Care Home has been very good, nice staff who have made a real effort of interacting with my aunt. The only complaint I really have is the amount it costs to keep my aunt in this establishment.
