Brambles Residential Care Home

I feel that mealtimes should be more organised. I mainly eat in my room; my meals are almost cold every time.

We would have been lost without the Brambles. The staff are welcoming and provide the best care to my granny, and even to my family. The team are also longstanding so it's really reassuring to have the same familiar faces when we visit the home. We know everyone, like friends. Forever thankful to the team at the Brambles.

I find the staff very caring and kind with all the help and assistance they deliver at all times. I feel very welcome and at home at the Brambles Residential Care Home. I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for care.

Mother spent just a month in the Brambles, but the care she received during that short time was second to none. When she arrived she was incapable of looking after herself, dehydrated and quite ill. A month later she was so much better, she was well enough to accept an invitation to a pub lunch 2 days before she died. Unfortunately, her heart gave up shortly afterwards, but she had so enjoyed that last outing.

After 49 days and right in the very lovely care of the staff at Brambles, my husband was very capable of giving a glowing report on how they cared for him in every way in spite of his very desperate needs. There are no hiccups to mention from any aspect. As his wife, I now have to live with my memories and know he was as happy and content as he could be in this very later part of his life. Thank you.

My aunt moved into the Brambles from the hospital following a fall last November. Since moving to the care home, she has been shown kindness, respect and support by all the staff, as have we, as her family. The home is warm and friendly, and the staff are so kind and caring. The communication has been fantastic, and I really cannot fault it. My aunt is so happy at the Brambles and living 100 miles away as we do; it is a huge comfort to know that she is in a safe, happy space.

It's not where I'd like to be, but it's where I need to be for safety and security.

Mom's room is very nicely presented. The home always looks clean and welcoming. The staff are kind and attentive. The food seems to be good and varied. My mom seems to have settled in well and is comfortable. There are no problems visiting and we can still take Mom out. Overall, we are very pleased we have chosen here.

I am very happy here. After I suffered a stroke in my home, I had a home care service which took up all my savings. My brother suggested moving into a care home. I am so happy here now after having three and a half years cooped up in my house.

I have no problems here, I'm happy and relaxed about my stay here.

I became a resident here in July of this year. I realised I could no longer look after myself so a care home was the sensible option. I did not expect to like it but in fact, I am very happy in my new home, having been made to feel welcome and all my needs have been met by a wonderful team of carers who really care!

Overall, our mother is taken care of very well. The staff are always friendly and helps whenever needed. Reception staff are always helpful and informative. We're so glad we know she is well looked after.

My mother is well looked after and cared for, which we all know isn't an easy job. Any issues we may have had have been dealt with quickly. It's a big thank you to all the staff from us.

My mother in law has been a resident for 6 years; in June she entered into end of life care. She was treated with excellent physical care, her dignity and medical needs were met with compassion and efficiency throughout. We, as a family were thoroughly supported, informed and cared about during this very difficult and distressing time. Every member of staff showed regard for our needs, from office, ancillary and caring staff , thus we feel she was cared for in every sense of the word. Her subsequent passing was dealt with so kindly it made a very difficult time bearable. Her funeral was marked by staff when we followed the hearse to see staff and residents paying their respects outside the home. Truly a family in every sense of the word. We thank them all.

The staff at Brambles Residential Care Home in Redditch have been superb in their care of my Mum, including her end of life care recently. They not only care about their residents but the family as well. Our Mum spent 6 years at the Brambles Residential Care Home, and their care and attention to detail was excellent. Thank you to all the staff and manager for this.

I have found all members of staff to be pleasant, helpful and willing to be helpful in any which way they can. Communication skills are good and my mum seems to be quite settled in the Brambles Care Home. We all thoroughly enjoyed the platinum jubilee street party celebrations. Well done everyone and thank you.

Very pleased with Brambles Residential Care Home. I feel safe in the knowledge that I know my parents are being well looked after. My father loves it and is now complaining he is putting on too much weight as the meals are so good. The staff are lovely to them and me when I visit. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I visited my aunt from 15th to 28th June, and I would like to thank the Brambles manager for making this concession as we had a lot to do to tie up her affairs in the former house and take her some of her possessions from home to make her room feel more familiar. It was also lovely to see her each day as I will only visit Redditch maybe every 3 months. Your staff were very friendly, accommodating, cheerful, and efficient, and I thank them for being so very welcoming. I was very impressed by the caring, and kindness of every one of the carers, and a special mention for the younger members of your staff, the patience, and caring to those they take care of is heartwarming to see. A younger generation making us all feel proud. You all do a great job in very difficult circumstances anyway, but with the current restrictions because of covid-19, your staff handle these challenges amazingly.

It’s never easy having to place a relative in care but our decision to use The Brambles is the best one we could have made he is having a lovely winter of his life.
