My mother has been in this care home for more than five years and I can't thank them enough for the care shown to her and the other residents. The care shown is next to none its better than I could provide myself. During covid, my mother's home did very well and no one passed away from covid which was amazing.
It was a sad/worrying time when Mum lost her independence and had to be admitted to a care home. We looked at other homes, but having visited Ravenhurst, we knew that was where we wanted her to be. The receptionist warmly and professionally showed us around the bright, clean premises, giving us confidence with the high standard of care. Now six months after, Mum is content and happy, always looking clean and smart. Staff are quick to act on any queries regarding welfare or health issues. I do feel staff are rather stretched, especially at mealtimes, but they're smiling with a positive attitude.
My cousin moved to Ravenhurst from another care home, and she is clearly so much happier here, with a lot more social contact with other residents; staff are friendly and caring, and the home is good at keeping relatives informed.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home and for your kind words, it is wonderful to hear how happy your cousin is with us at Ravenhurst. It really is a lovely home.
Staff are caring and friendly at Ravenhurst. They interact well with the residents and ensure that they are kept entertained. Food and hygiene are excellent. My Father loves living at Ravenhurst especially the activities and entertainment that is provided on a weekly basis.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home and for your kind words, it is so appreciated.
My dad went into Ravenhurst for a short period of respite and ended up staying. He seems very happy there and the staff are all so helpful. It is still difficult as we are under restrictions but they accommodate as much as they can. My dad and myself are looking forward to when these restrictions are lifted and he can fully enjoy the facilities and I am allowed in. He always comments on how nice the food is and I think he enjoys being made a fuss of. I would happily recommend this care home.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home and for your kind words about our team. We are looking forward to being able to welcome you properly to Ravenhurst soon.
For the first time in many years, I was not able to be with my Mum over the Advent period this year. As Mum had always enjoyed the build-up to Christmas, I was concerned that she would miss out this year. I need not have worried. The staff had already thought about this and organised a month of activities which included carols, Christmas cards with photos and Christingles. The families of the residents were kept informed as they were mailed a diary showing the daily activities. This made Mum's December, and mine, a much more pleasant time than I had anticipated. I would like to record my thanks to the manager and all the staff who went above and beyond what could have been expected. Thank you.
Thank you for such a wonderful review - it is so appreciated. The team will be thrilled to hear this.
Mum has been living at the Ravenhurst Care Home now for nearly three years and during that time she has been looked after very well. Staff are helpful and considerate and always approachable. Her room is lovely and she really benefits from the companionship that she enjoys in the comfortable and bright communal areas. With the support and help that she has received over the last three years, the quality of her life and general health has improved tremendously.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home and for your kind words about the team at Ravenhurst. It is so appreciated!
Having taken the decision to move our relative from another care home in the area. I could not be more pleased with the change in my cousin. She is again engaging with us and says herself, that the staff at Ravenhurst are kind and caring. We are well informed about changes with her, and the managing and reception staff are always available for a chat, and if not, they get back to you! This was the best decision we could have made for our relative. Thank you.
Thank you for such a wonderful review - Your kind words are so appreciated by our team. Best wishes, Fae
My mum has been living at Ravenhurst for a year now, and although she lives independently in her own home before this, she has never regretted the move. All the staff have been so kind and caring and treated her with great understanding. She especially enjoys the meals and has made friends with many of the residents. It is so good to know that she is happy, safe and with people who care about her.
I should think they are all almost exhausted with the work they have done during the lockdown.
Hoping to see you all soon.
As always the staff have been excellent in looking after the care and safety of the residents during the last few difficult months. It was reassuring to know that my sister was safe and well. I could at least speak to her on the telephone whilst being unable to visit.
Thank you for your kind words about our home and team, they will really appreciate it. Best wishes, Fae
During this Covid-19 outbreak, I knew my Mum was in the best possible hands, they have kept me informed throughout which gave me peace of mind and they have done everything to keep their residents safe.
A care home is only as good as the people it has working for it and in my eyes, Ravenhurst is outstanding because of them.
Thank You so much.
Thank you so much for such kind words, our team are so appreciative of reviews from our family members. It's wonderful to hear such a positive experience, particularly during these unprecedented times. Best wishes, Fae.
When I visited, the lounge was full of residents, instead of chairs being place around the edge of the room they were placed in little groups which looked so much better. A Communion Service was about to begin and all joined in (a wonderful experience). The whole atmosphere was friendly and everyone seemed happy. The minister taking the service said it was always like this and that they had a very good social coordinator, I came away feeling happy and not depressed as I frequently feel when I visit other homes.
Thank you so much for your kind words - it is wonderful to hear that you found our home to be warm and inviting place. We do hope to see you again soon. Best wishes.
Dad has been at Ravenhurst for 5 months now although he has been very poorly for much of his stay, the care that he receives is excellent. The team there are loving and treat him with respect and dignity. Standards are very high. I have never had a reason to question his care.
Thank you for your lovely review, Andy. I will be sure to pass your kind words onto the manager and the team. Best wishes, Fae.
The residential home is always clean, tidy as are the rooms. My sister is content and happy and loved by all, it's lovely to know she's contented.
What a wonderful review - thank you so much. The manager and the team will really appreciate your kind words. Best wishes.
The food is excellent and all the staff seem very knowledgeable about residents needs, likes and dislikes.
I hope I never need to go into such an establishment but if I do, one such as Ravenhurst would be what I wish for myself.
Thank you so much for your lovely review - The manager and the team will really appreciate it. Best wishes.
My mother came to Ravenhurst three years ago and is very happy as she never stops telling me! From the very start, the manager and all his staff could not be more helpful and friendly. The food is extremely good and plentiful and the rooms are clean and well maintained. There is always someone available to have a chat should there be any concerns. I could not wish for anything better for my mother. Excellent care.
Thank you for such a lovely review - the manager and the team will really appreciate your kind words. Best wishes, Fae.
My dad has recently become a resident at Ravenhurst. I am overwhelmed at how kind and caring every member of staff is. Nothing is too much trouble for them whether it to the residents or visitors. It is clear that they are very experienced and knowledgeable about caring for the elderly and people suffering from dementia. It is because of their care that my dad has settled in so well.
Dear Alison, thank you so much for reviewing our home. Whilst we know that the transition into care can be a difficult time for both our residents and their loved ones it is wonderful to hear that you are so pleased with the care provided and that your dad is settling in so well! Best wishes, Fae
Thank you all at Ravenswood.
Thank you for your kind review of Ravenhurst, we are so pleased your mum has settled into her home and all your initial worries are gone. We will pass your comments onto Andrew and the team.
Friendly and helpful staff. The courtyard is nice and food sounds good!
