The variety of activities the residents enjoy at Westmead is very special. The home’s award-winning activities coordinator is passionate about researching residents’ life histories, to find out what matters to them, so she can organise activities that bring them joy.
And the group activities are just as special, from surprise ‘Magical Mystery Tours’ in the minibus, to trips to local attractions like the riverside at Worcester and local equestrian centre.

Friendly and caring staff who go above and beyond to make residents comfortable and happy.
Thank you for your kind words for our team and home at Westmead, it is so appreciated! Best wishes, Fae
We moved my dad up to Westmead Residential Care Home at the end of April. He has Alzheimer’s and was previously in a care home in London where we did not feel he was being adequately cared for. Since being at Westmead, he has flourished. He joins in with activities and engages with both staff and residents. We feel comfortable and have complete faith that he is being well cared for. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the activities coordinator puts on a varied range of activities to suit all. We feel very informed by regular Facebook posts and photos. As well as this we have found that our phone enquiries and emails are responded to promptly. Thank you, Westmead.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home and for your kind words for our team at Westmead Residential Care Home. It's wonderful to hear how well your father is doing with us and that you have complete peace of mind with him now being in our care. Best wishes, Fae
My mum has been a resident at Westmead for two years. I have always found the staff friendly and helpful. I’m kept informed of Mum's progress and the activities over the past few months have been amazing. Keep up the good work and thanks to everyone who works there.
Mom moved into Westmead at the end of March. She was made to feel very welcome and loved her bedroom which I had been able to make feel very homely with Mom's treasured belongings from her own home. Mom enjoys having company and security of care 24/7 at the end of her call bell. All the staff have been very careful to provide a person-centred approach to her needs. Mom enjoys home-cooked meals and a cup of tea in a china cup and saucer. Well done Westmead!
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Westmead to anyone looking for somewhere for a loved one to live. Since my dad moved there in October 2020 the care given to him has been excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them in making sure residents have everything they need. My dad suffers from dementia and they have encouraged and got him to join in the many activities that are available to the residents. During the Covid pandemic, the care given to residents was excellent and they made sure residents kept in touch with their families at all times. Staff should feel proud of themselves for how they care for their residents at all times.
Care and concern are very good. They try hard to meet my husband's needs and are friendly and helpful. Always try to answer questions or queries that are put to them.
The review was very informative and I was very impressed with the way it was conducted. Westmead Care Home is an excellent care home and my mother is very happy in her home and well cared for.
Excellent care provision by kind and friendly staff who have all done so much to ensure that none of the residents has contracted Covid-19 and continue to protect them as the guidelines change. Lovely newsletter with photos and description of activities which are obviously carefully selected to involve everyone. In these challenging times, the staff have done their utmost to ensure that residents have whatever contact is possible with their family members and to give them fun activities to enjoy in order that they do not feel too cut off from the outside world. Well done everyone!
As a family (I have 3 brothers plus myself) we have found the home to be organised, welcoming and have the utmost care for our mom. The biggest compliment is regarding communication which we have found to be timely which is so important. We are also encouraged to call whenever which puts your mind at ease, all staff are polite and courteous.
It's a home from home, very helpful. They are like family to everyone who visits.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, our team will appreciate it. Best wishes, Fae.
My mother has been resident now for 5-years, and now 98 years young, we know she is in a safe and secure homely environment.
Thank you for such a lovely review of our home and team. Best wishes, Fae
I would not hesitate to recommend the Westmead Care Home to anyone requiring care for elderly relatives. It is like a home from home and the staff are friendly and caring. The service is first class.
Before I decided on Westmead I did extensive research and ultimately made my decision on the staff, quality of care, surroundings and observations made when I visited. My mother has been a resident for 3 years now, and whilst her condition is degenerating, I have absolutely no concerns that she is in the best care with a team of professionals, and importantly a team that has longevity.
Dear Lynn, thank you for your feedback. It is good to hear that you have peace of mind knowing that your mother is well cared for here with us at Westmead. I will be sure to pass your kind words onto the team. Best wishes, Fae.
My mother age 101 has been bedridden for 6 months and the care and compassion shown to her have been exemplary. Kindness is always apparent in this care home and that is beyond price.
Dear Diane, thank you for your kind words about Westmead. Your feedback is truly invaluable to our team, so I will be sure to pass your comments onto Michelle and the team. Best wishes, Fae
Attentive staff. Excellent care. Very good food. One week's respite care. Will be happy to go again.
Dear Michael, thank you so much for your feedback. It is so wonderful to hear how much you enjoyed your time with us at Westmead - I am sure our staff would be more than happy to welcome you again at any time. I will pass your kind words onto Michelle and the team. Best wishes, Fae
We are more than satisfied with the care and the staff are very approachable.
Thank you so much for your feedback, it really is invaluable to us. It is wonderful to hear how happy you are with your mum's care. I will be sure to pass your kind words onto Michelle and the team at Westmead. Best wishes, Fae
Every care is taken of my husband. He is happy. The staff are all kind to him and patient. His clothes are carefully laundered and he always appears clean and smart. He enjoys his food.
Both family, friends and mother are very happy with all that the staff do in their care. Kind, caring, helpful.
My mother has been a resident since February 2017 and her care has been exemplary. She is at peace content and happy in her in her "new home". During this time I have got to know the staff well and trust them in all aspects of her care. My 94-year-old father who visits his wife frequently with me always feels she has the best possible care and attention. I can only sincerely thank all the staff at Westmead.
Good overall service. Care excellent.
