I have found my time at Hendra House Residential Home to be excellent. I am looked after really well and encouraged to do things that I wouldn't normally do, which is actually great and has made a huge difference in my ability to socialise.

I love that my family can visit me and are made to feel as welcome as me!

My mother has been at Hendra House for the last 18 months. The care she has received over that period has been exemplary. I have visited on many occasions and always found the Home to be very well kept, and the cleanliness excellent. The staff are very professional and friendly. The residents are all happy and well looked after. It is more like visiting a hotel than a care home.

My dad moved into Hendra House about 1 month ago. A very clean and bright home, with very kind and friendly care staff. Nothing is too much trouble; there is lovely food and plenty of it, and there are lovely gardens to sit in on a nice day when visiting. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for first-class care.

My mother was admitted to Hendra House after an illness but a very helpful conversation with the manager who in herself went above and beyond her job role to make it all happen. To cut a long story short, once my mother was in Hendra House, her life was cared for and her needs looked after to make her comfortable and safe and still keep her dignity. Every time I visited, nothing was too much for the staff who are amazing people, friendly, caring, funny and chatty and professional. My mother liked the food, loved the soups! And enjoyed her new lifestyle there. It was, sadly a one-way journey. Amazing care and staff who looked after it all. Thank you so much. And thank you to the manager who was there at the funeral to hand me a tissue. I don't think care comes higher than the service provided here.

The care that you gave Mum was exemplary right from the time that Mum came to the home. Mum was quite stubborn but the staff were able to coax Mum into coming down and taking part in the lounge. Mum's end-of-life care was amazing and the whole of the staff was so compassionate kind and skilled and kept me informed exactly what was happening. Made me feel like it was our home.

My mother-in-law has been at Hendra House for 5 years and during that time she has been looked after and treated with the utmost care, dignity and love.
Every single one the staff have been absolutely amazing and I cannot praise them enough.
Their kindness and helpfulness to our family during all of my mother-in-law's time as a resident have been wonderful as well. Nothing has been too much trouble.

The way that my mother-in-law's final weeks and days were handled by everyone at Hendra was brilliant, done with compassion, dignity, care and love.

Simply the best! Relieved to have at last found an exceptional care home for two relatives, one payment and the other on an as needs basis to give me a break from full-time caring at home. Management and all staff are wonderful. They understand residents' individual needs and ensure the appropriate care is given with kindness, patience and dignity. Family and friends are welcome. Have tried the food, delicious and varied. Spotless communal areas lovely Conservatory and garden. Individual rooms are clean and fresh. The home for me one day I have told my daughter!

The care and attention shown to my husband while in Hendra House Residential Home was excellent, all his needs were covered to a very high standard. His dietary needs were adjusted to, his daily intake due to him having a small area in his stomach for food to digest due to a cancer operation eight years ago. His mobility again was an issue and he remained in his room for all his needs. A very good television was available and he was able to enjoy his sports programmes.

My mother was a resident at Hendra House for nine months. I cannot give high enough praise for the care that they provided. She was always treated with respect, patience and kindness. She was very happy there and never once asked to leave. All residents are cared for as a community with no differentiation between those living with dementia and those who do not. Mum made friends there and benefitted from the social aspect of the day room.

The staff at Hendra appear to be treated respectfully by the management team, and this shows in the way that they work together as one team. This never felt like a financial transaction, and the focus was always on what was best for Mum.

I have no hesitation in recommending Hendra House, who has looked after Mum, who has dementia, brilliantly since late 2016. Staff are unfailingly caring, helpful and friendly and have worked as an amazing team through the rigours of Covid, keeping everyone safe while still managing to facilitate visiting with all the necessary precautions. Mum is comfortable and happy and feels well cared for.
