I have lived at Hendra House for six years. I never have to worry about anything, and the staff are superb. I have my own room and am treated with dignity and respect. I like to go out for walks which the staff let me do, which is good for my mental well being.

My dad lived at Hendra House for six years. I have never had reason to doubt their care and always feel welcome.
The fact my dad was brought by car to my wedding in Wales without hesitation by his carer, displays the care and attention they give their residents and family members.

I can't thank them enough for their love and care.

When I got married in September 2019, my father-in-law's carer volunteered to drive him from Ludlow to Wales so that he could give his daughter away! I can't thank her enough for doing this and giving our families such wonderful memories of the day. This is just one example of " going beyond" and providing the support and care to all residents.

The staff at Hendra House are genuinely caring and thoughtful to residents, showing warmth and understanding at all time. They are professional and efficient, but always treat residents as individuals so they can tailor their care to that person.

I cannot fault the care my brother-in-law received, and I am most grateful for their kindness during his time with them.

There is an unmistakable air of contentment here. This is in no small part, due to the staff who are clearly happy in their job and go the extra mile to ensure the happiness of their charges.

Recruitment and retention of good staff is a headache for management who are obviously capable and adept here.

During my father's stay of 17 months, I was extremely happy with the care he received. He was not the most forthcoming of personalities and did not mix well at first, but he was always treated with kindness and patience and gradually adjusted. He considered Hendra House his home and was as happy as was possible considering his sight, hearing and mobility problems. We were comforted by senior staff, both at the hospital and at the funeral and I would not hesitate to recommend Hendra House.

My dad was a resident in Hendra House for 17 months. During this time Dad was always treated with respect and kindness. Every support was offered to him to make his life as happy and fulfilled as possible. When we visited we were always welcomed and supported, especially when Dad was unwell. The atmosphere of Hendra is always relaxed, cheerful and friendly with many different activities for residents to take part in if they wish. Dad especially enjoyed the shady part of the garden. I wholeheartedly recommend Hendra House to anyone considering residential care.

My relative has received excellent care and support since moving into Hendra House. I am impressed with the supportive nature of all care staff and the attention to detail with planning thoughtful activities for the residents. The home has a relaxing and homely atmosphere. My relative's needs for additional heating in their room have been met by Hendra who carried out work to ensure this was available. Overall, extremely pleased with all aspects.

My mother was a resident at Hendra House for ten years until her death in 2018 at the grand old age of 97. She loved Hendra and thought of it as her 'home', surrounded by her family (staff). She was cared for with love, dignity and compassion. The level of care, high standard of food, hygiene and intense staff training, make it a superb establishment.

Hendra House Residential Home is excellent. They have looked after my mother for six and a half years. The home is warm, welcoming and spotlessly clean.
The staff who are efficient, professional and work incredibly hard for the benefit of all the residents are always cheerful, informative and helpful.
It is a real home away from home.
They genuinely care for their residents like a family. The fabrics and buildings are often updated and improved as necessary. Any suggestions are positively received and discussed at regular residents meetings with staff, family and residents alike. New initiatives are brought in recently the community dental health service which is a great success.
Last week my mother became ill and was immediately given attentive care involving the local doctor, ambulance and hospital.
Incidentally, Shrewsbury Hospital was very impressed with Hendra's actions and all-around care for mum. Rated them "outstanding" unique care home in the area.
I cannot praise them enough. Without their prompt actions and excellent service, my mum would not be here today. She is happy and comfortable and settled at Hendra House given all the care she needs in a warm and friendly environment.

Hendra is in my opinion too is outstanding.
