Review from Patricia M (Daughter of Resident) published on 14 January 2019 Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My mother has been a Gingercroft resident for five years, since my father's death. Since she moved into Gingercroft I am confident that she is warm, safe and well fed. She interacts well with the staff, many of whom are local people, thus providing the continuity required for the care of elderly people.
Staff respond quickly and appropriately to safety buzzers but also provide encouragement to residents to join in events like fitness sessions, quizzes and outings. The location of the care home enables village groups to include residents in events, like the village carnival and tea parties. The atmosphere of the home is cheerful and friendly.

Gingercroft is a very pleasant home, warm and inviting and feels like home from home. My friend appears very happy and settled at Gingercroft. All staff seem polite and kind to residents and are welcoming to visitors.
