Since my mum has been in Hyland House, she has never looked so well, she recently got hearing aids which has really helped and now joins in conversations and her outlook is much brighter and eating well. Mum had a sore on her leg and this was looked at straight away and treated. Nothing is too much for the carers, all the staff are so friendly and helpful, management included, best move for Mum.

On both my recent visits I have found a warm, friendly atmosphere amongst the residents and the staff. The home is clean and comfortable as are the residents. The residents are treated with respect and warmth. l was particularly impressed that each resident's birthday is celebrated.

My mother is well looked after and cared for and treated kindly and with dignity.
She is happy at Hylands House and engages with the residents and staff so she is not lonely.
Health and wellbeing monitored and always able to speak to the staff regularly.

Hylands House continue to provide the very best I care for my mother, she is now bed-bound and has been for months yet she is always clean, cared for and only ever has the fragrance of freshly laundered linen. Her time with us is coming to a close, but Hylands have done everything to ensure we have had extra time to be with her and for her to be treated with care and dignity. I think their care has been exceptional.

I have been a resident at Hylands House for the last 6 months. Although I'm not a typical resident, my every need has been met.
The biggest plus points of this home are the staff and environment.
My health has improved to the extent that I am now able to move out and start my next challenge towards living independently.

If you need a care home personally or for your loved one, please look no further.

I have been highly satisfied with the care that Hylands House has provided to my brother. When I first went to view Hylands House I felt then that the staff were genuinely caring, skilled, and kind. And now that my brother has been with Hylands House for 6 months I know that my first impressions and judgement on the carers was not wrong. The care has been excellent and the staff are superb. My brother's room has a delightful view over the garden with the flowers, birds, and rabbits keeping him entertained.

My Mother has been treated with respect, care and consideration, as have I.
I cannot really comment on all parts of the care home as my Mom is bedridden. I do walk through the lounge area and it is always bright and welcoming. The gardens are lovely. If anyone has been in to sing or visit the home, the staff always make sure my Mom receives a visit too.

I feel content knowing my Mom is happy and very well cared for.

The Hylands House Care Home looks after my father-in-law superbly well. They send updates about events like Christmas parties and send pictures in newsletters of what they are doing. He really looks like he’s enjoying himself. I’m more than happy for him to be there.

Hylands House Care Home is a very caring and family-orientated care home. My sister-in-law was recently in hospital for a hip operation and Hylands made it clear they would have her back as soon as possible where they gave her personal help and attention which led to a speedy recovery.

Their communication is excellent.

My father arrived at the end of January and I am delighted with the care and kindness that he has received from the manager and her team at Hylands House. He has settled in well, is happy, relaxed and well cared for. The manager is very knowledgeable, incredibly helpful, insightful and a very easy lady to talk to. I feel very confident having my father in the care at Hylands.

My mother has been a service user at Hylands since 2019. I have always been more than pleased with the care that my mother receives, and interactions with management have always been very positive and helpful. The other residents at Hylands always seem to be doing as well as they can be despite their conditions; there are always lots of activities going on, and the food and drink service at Hylands is brilliant.

My Mum was only at Hylands for the last few weeks of her life, but as a family we could not have appreciated more the care she was given there. She was treated with great respect and dignity and every effort made to help her settle down quickly and be comfortable in the home. In her final decline, she was given immediate and urgent attention with great compassion.
As well as the excellent care Mum received, the staff were wonderful at helping Dad too, they really understand that dementia is an illness that affects all the family. They were very patient with all our enquiries (including repeated questions) and made every effort to allow Dad the time with Mum that he needed.
The home is also meticulous about Covid precautions, designed to help keep the very vulnerable residents as safe as possible.

If you need a dementia care home in the Stratford area, we would highly recommend Hylands.

My mother has been a resident at Hylands House for over 30 months, unfortunately, due to her illness, her condition has deteriorated to the point where she is bedridden. Throughout her time there we have found the care to be very good and the staff attentive and friendly. Due to its small size, the staff seem to have a very close working relationship with the residents, something from experience the larger homes do not seem to be able to cater for. We feel Mum’s needs are well catered for and if we had to choose a home again Hylands House would be our choice.

My Aunt thrives at Hylands House, she is very well cared for, and most importantly happy. The staff have developed a great rapport with her, and are so accommodating when I visit. They have an excellent structure which means you get to know them really well. The team really relate to who my aunt is, treat her as an individual and with huge respect, consideration and kindness. The staff have also shared my aunts enthusiasm for having our dog visit - its always a great occasion and lots of fun, every visit creates memories that will always be treasured, I cant thank them enough.

My sister was diagnosed with Dementia in Alzheimer's two years ago while living on her own, through the pandemic, unfortunately, despite using daycare it became apparent she needed 24-hour care. We explored care homes in the Stratford area concentrating on those we felt would suit her and in a cosy and caring and homely environment. We felt Hylands House fitted the bill and they were so kind and helpful and suggested the best way was to start with a two weeks rest bite visit. There was no pressure at all, just great advice and help. That was three months ago, she has settled into her new home very well, is happy and made friends and now talks of Hylands as her home. We can not be more complimentary about the manager and her staff, they are kind, professional and always ready to respond to any questions we ask.

Living two hours away from Stratford and previously worrying every day about my sister I am now confident her every need is being cared for at Hylands House Care home.

Hylands is a remarkable Care Home. Very family-friendly. The staff are very helpful - outstanding - and my wife could not be happier. I looked after her until she moved into Hylands and thankfully she is now better looked after than she was at home where I provided all the Care with the help of some visiting carers.
I would recommend Hylands to anyone looking for a good, family-friendly care home.

Well done Hylands. You really are number one.

I have been involved with Hylands House over a period of 18 months. They provided end-of-life care for one relative, and ongoing care for another relative who has Alzheimer’s. In both cases, their care has been excellent and their communication with me very good. The home and the rooms always appear clean, and the difficulties of Covid lockdowns were well managed and communicated. The key ingredient is that the staff are aware and caring towards the residents.
