Hylands House is situated in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. Stratford-upon-Avon is set in the beautiful rural Warwickshire countryside, on the banks of the River Avon. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Britain, famous as the birthplace of William Shakespeare.

Hylands House is a small family-run care home which has been operating since 1987. Hylands House is highly regarded within the local community, providing exceptional care for older people 24 hours a day. They specialise in Dementia, Respite Care, Residential Care and Day Care.

All staff are long-standing and have a true passion for caring for the home’s residents. Staff training is always on the agenda with all members of staff constantly undertaking specialist training throughout the year.

The home has a vibrant programme of activities and entertainment for residents to enjoy, arts and crafts, music therapy and sports therapy, to name a few.
The home has a lounge, quiet room, dining room, conservatory, hairdressers and a beautiful garden. There is ample parking to the rear of the property for visitors.

As a small home all of the staff know all of the residents well. It has a family atmosphere. Residents are encouraged to be in communal areas to avoid isolation. The relatively new management is innovative and strongly encouraging for all activities to promote quality of life. At the next CQC inspection
I am 100% confident that the part "well led...requires improvement" will change to a good or excellent. Communication with relatives is good. Care reviews happen regularly.
Staff are brilliant at looking after residents with dementia and its associated difficulties. In my father's case he had to leave a previous home, staff at Hylands have no issue with his behaviour.
I would definitely recommend.

Hylands House is a warm and welcoming place to visit.
Personally I have had two family members living there and both were/are extremely happy and content.
The care they receive there is professional and lovingly provided - nothing is too much trouble for the staff many of which are prepared to go
the extra mile!
Residents are made to feel individuals each receiving the care which is appropriate to their own needs.

Extremely happy with the care and attention showed to my sister during her placement. All medical needs are met. Whenever I have visited all areas of the home are extremely clean. It feels very homely. The Manager has always been very friendly and welcoming and is very knowledgeable which is extremely
reassuring. She always makes time for a chat if I have any concerns and leaves me feeling reassured. In fact, all of the staff seem happy in their work. Have seen the meals the residents are served and they appear well presented and nutritious. I would have no reservations in recommending Hylands for a friend or loved one. Feel reassured that their needs are met and they are safe and treated with the dignity that they deserve.

We moved Mum from another home to Hylands House and feel that this was the best decision we could have made. From the management to all the staff members, all are very helpful and sincerely care for their residents. Mum has been looked after and is happy at Hylands House. We are kept updated and have

Hylands is a fantastic care home offering a very high standard of personal care. My mother has received nothing but A1 attention since she moved into Hylands and they have also supported family members, as we adapt to my mother's on-going dementia. They are a close-knit team, where it becomes very
apparent that they genuinely care for their residents. They consistently go the extra mile to meet resident need - even if it means 'thinking outside the box' to ensure their comfort.

I have been working in the care sector for many years and has been the Registered Manager of Hylands House Care Home since November 2018. At Hylands House we offer first class care on a permanent or respite basis, which is delivered by highly trained care staff in a homely comfortable environment. All of our residents are individuals and we treat them with dignity and respect while offering freedom of choice and promote independence as much as possible.
Our chef's prepare three nutritious meals a day and the menu changes regularly to reflect seasonal produce. At Hylands House specialist diets are catered for.
