Ashfields is excellent. I couldn't find a better place for my wife, The staff look after her very well and they look after me when I visit. I have a cup of tea as soon as I arrive. My wife received high quality care and is very happy. If my wife is having a bad night the carers sit with her and comfort her. When I was ill for 3 months, the home arranged for my wife to ring me on a regular basis.

Overall Experience

My mother has received very good care and the staff have been very helpful attentive and welcoming. The only criticisms I would wish to declare is that on one particular Sunday the care home was very understaffed and Ashfields Care Home mother had buzzed several times for toileting. This also happened a couple of times in the week and although my mother should be non weight bearing on her plastered ankle, she made an attempt to go to the toilet herself, unable to wait any longer.

You have helped my mum so much in these last few moments of her life. The house is beautiful, the staff attentive. They made us feel welcome to spend as much time with mum as we needed, even during the night.

Overall Experience

Since mum has moved into Ashfields she has been well taken care of and her health has improved greatly. The staff are excellent and really friendly, they always take time to chat and listen to mum when she is in need of company or help. The meals are good and the residents can go to the dining room or have it served in their rooms if they prefer. The activities co-ordinator is really excellent, and organises plenty of games and activities to stimulate their interest. I would recommend Ashfields to anyone for care for any member of the family.
