The Forget Me Not team cannot be praised enough. The transition into full-time care for Mum was made so much easier by their warmth to our family, obvious dedication and support to individual's needs within a well-supervised and managed unit. 6 months on Mum has improved in so many ways and thanks to them all she is happy settled and safe. We have all made new friends and I know the 24/7 care with hugs and a smile confirms that Ashfields is the right choice.
Thank you so much we always try to make a difference but to be told in this way is so heartwarming
My mum's been at Ashfields specialist dementia wing (Forgot me not) since April this year. Our welcome to the home couldn't have been warmer. The environment is clean and fresh and well decorated. Her room is small but it's nicely decorated and has a door leading directly into the garden, which makes it perfect for my mum who needs that feeling of escape to the outdoors. The staff seem genuinely caring of the residents. The diary of activities is endless, which is so important for people with dementia. A day doesn't go by where they haven't organised some form of celebration, games, dancing, baking or general fun! My mum's condition is such that she is confused and distressed a lot of the time and doesn't want to partake in any activities. The carers and leadership team have shown so much concern and have closely monitored her condition, adapting her meds, adapting their approach to her and finding 121 activities to suit her. I feel we landed on gold when we found this place.
Thank you so much for such an amazing review we cannot thank you enough
The staff are always so warm and welcoming - there is always a smile and a hello from everyone you meet.
It really is a proper home from home and nothing is too much trouble. My mum is on the Forget-Me-Not dementia suite and the staff really, really care. The residents are treated with such tenderness and respect and it's just like one big family. My mum isn't really aware of what's going on around her but she has a different stimulus every day, which she joins in with and she always has a smile on her face, as evidenced by the photos posted in the family group chat. Even though her memory is poor, her face lights up when she sees any of the staff, so it's clear how comfortable and safe she feels.
I cannot praise Ashfields enough. It's so heartwarming to be in the building. I can't thank them enough for looking after my mum so well.
Thank you so much for the fabulous review the pleasure is all ours.
My mum arrived at Ashfields on the Forget Me Not Suite on the 17th of July. I know it's only been two weeks but in that time I have seen a big difference in my mum, she's looking really content, healthy and she's really enjoying her meals now. The staff are absolutely amazing and I couldn't have wished for a better place for Mum. Thank you Ashfields.
Thanks I am sure she will go from strength to strength
Management very good, always there if you need advice.
Care with dignity and compassion - looked after with care.
My husband has been there for nearly three years.
All staff very good and helpful.
Wouldn't want him anywhere else.
Very satisfied.
Thanks so much; the pleasure is all ours.
My sister received the best care I could have wished for in her final days. The staff on the Daffodil Suite was absolutely amazing and always went above and beyond. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone.
Hi Pat the pleasure was all ours. Well done team Daffodil.
A home of smiles. Warm and welcoming. The carers and everybody working there are just wonderful, special people. Lots of entertainment and activities to keep residents stimulated and active, also lots of hugs and love. After a visit to my husband, I feel content to know that he is in very good hands. A happy care home, it feels like an extended family.
Ashfield Care Home is excellent, cannot fault anything at all. The staff are all lovely and cannot do enough for mum. As someone having to put their mum into care, I can't street enough how much it means to find such a safe and caring place. 5 Stars all round.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review, the pleasure is all ours.
Staff go above and beyond to provide a caring bedside manner, and make family feel welcome at all times.
The facilities are so clean that my grandfather remarked he could eat his dinner off the toilet when visiting, and the coffee shop and bar area are a wonderful addition.
The care staff are friendly, and approachable and keep you in the loop, management has been amazing in explaining everything to us, the cleaning staff keep the place smelling and looking fantastic and the kitchen staff provide top quality food far above other places we've tried. Plus the activities on offer a wealth of amusement.
It really does have such a pleasant and welcoming mood and I thank the staff heartily for their continued efforts.
Thank you so much for your amazing review well done team Daffodil.
My dad has been a resident for 4 years. The care home is beautiful and clean with lovely friendly and caring staff. They have home-cooked food every day from a very clean kitchen. There are always lots of activities for residents to keep them happy and busy. Dad is always clean and well-groomed. I would be happy to be a resident myself, it is home from home. His room is well-equipped and always clean and tidy.
Thank you so much for such an amazing review well done team forget me not.
My husband has been at Ashfields Care Home since July and is very happy there. I feel confident that he is being so well looked after in a place where he is safe. All the staff in the Dementia Suite are always so helpful and caring.
Thanks for taking the time to review. Well done Dementia Suite.
My mum has been in Ashfields Care Home for the last two months and I couldn’t be happier that she is there after a worrying time trying to find the right place for my mum. The staff are fantastic and at last, I have no worries about the care my mum is receiving. Everything is spotless, the moment you walk in the door everyone is so friendly and really feels like a family unit. The care and patience my mum receives is second to none and I can finally sleep at night knowing she is receiving five-star care.
Thank you for your kind words and positive review.
My husband has dementia and was transferred to Ashfields Care home recently. I have been amazed at how he has settled. This is all due to the love and care of the staff. You can tell as soon as you walk into the home that it is warm and welcoming. I particularly appreciated the messaging group’s 50 or so pictures of the residents enjoying singing and dancing. My husband is very new to the Ashfields family but he was up there dancing and singing. It was so lovely to see. Thank you all very much.
Thank you for your fabulous reveiw, welcome to Ashfields forget-me-not family.
The dementia unit manager listens and helps resolve issues - nothing is too much trouble.
The staff put in so much effort with the activities. Allowing dogs to visit is the highlight for my aunt.
Your aunt is an absolute pleasure; her smile lights up the room.
Can't praise Ashfields Care Home enough. Since moving there just over a year ago, Mum has received care of the highest standard. Staff are friendly, welcoming and professional. The activities that they involve the residents in are excellent and very enjoyable. Family are always welcome, kept informed of what residents have been doing and are invited to the numerous social events.
Thank you so much for the excellent review, the pleasure is all ours.
From the first day we went to see the home to the last day we took mum's things away, all the staff were so kind and always went out of their way to help. This home is run in the most efficient way possible. The nurses and staff were kind and friendly and made my mum's stay (although short) the best end of life we could ever have wished for. Staff would even ask what they could do to make Mum's stay even better. All staff spoke and made us feel so welcome every day we visited. We must thank the manager and all the backroom staff for their professional approach and we wish them all the best for the future.
Thank you so much for all your positive feedback it was an absolute pleasure to care for such a wonderful lady. Well done.
Wow, what a fantastic nursing home, the home manager and her team need a gold medal for the brilliant support given to the families of the residents and the dedicated staff that give excellent care to my Mum. Both my Mum and Dad moved to Ashfields Nursing Home at the end of October 2022 after being in another not-so-organised residential home, what a huge difference, the care is outstanding and we received a lovely welcome committee upon arrival. My Dad who unfortunately passed away in November 2022 suffered with Parkinson's disease, I invariably had to visit the other home at various times of the day as I didn't feel confident with the care and experience of the staff. I had no worries and every confidence that I could arrive at Ashfields and the care wasn't compromised, Dad was extremely well looked after until the very end where he died with love, compassion and dignity. All residents and families are part of the family at Ashfields thank you to everyone.
Thank you so much for such an amazing review. Well done Team Poppy and Team Ashfields.
Both my parents were part of the Ashfields family and both received exemplary care on Poppy Suite. All the staff are so kind and caring, they treat all the residents with respect and care. They take the time to get to know each resident so that their care is tailored to that person. For example, my father loved his puddings, so he always had seconds offered! The activities are also great and varied, so there is something for everyone whatever their ability or interest. My mother loved to bake so the activity coordinators arranged for her to bake scones so that everyone could enjoy a cream tea. Mum was so happy to do this. Even when my parents became bedridden they were still included in the activities. All the staff go that extra mile in all that they do, I can't praise Ashfields enough and will always be thankful that my parents were able to spend their last months being looked after by such dedicated folk. We all became part of the Ashfields family.
Thank you for such an amazing review it was an absolute pleasure.
He has had Alzheimer's for 12 years.
The carers at Ashfields are excellent at their job. They really do care and offer individual comfort to each resident.
The manageress is very hands-on and knows all her residents and their particular needs with understanding care.
Staff are friendly and welcoming to me as a frequent, often upset, visitor.
I can thoroughly recommend this dementia home.
Thank you for the lovely review - a pleasure to care for such a gentleman.
Caring and attentive staff who understand everyone's needs are different. They do everything they can to keep people comfortable in the dementia suite, as well as doing a variety of activities to help stimulate residents.
Thank you for your great review. It was a pleasure looking after your relative.
