We would like to thank all the staff involved with the care of our beloved. You have all made such a tragic experience so much easier knowing that he was in such good hands until he passed away. I and my partner enjoyed our visits to see him together as we felt so welcome by you all and always left with a glimmer of hope. You are all a credit to the care home and again we cannot thank you enough for your care and kindness. You have helped us every step of the way. We even managed a glimpse of him days before he passed and we had a laugh together?
Our family are very happy with the care my Aunty gets. They are always doing activities with the residents. The staff are very helpful when you ring up about anything. I would highly recommend this care home to future friends or family.
Thank you very much for your positive comments and feedback.
My wife became a resident only recently but I am overwhelmed by the high standard of care and compassion shown by all levels of staff and administration. The home is very clean and tidy, and nothing seems to be too much trouble both for residents and visitors alike. There is a full programme of entertainment for our loved ones to participate in if they so require, and I cannot praise Ashfields enough for caring so well for my loved one. Excellent, and thank you!
Thanks for your positive comments. A lovely new addition to the Ashfields family.
My Dad was a resident here for end-of-life care from 14th April to the 3rd May, when he passed in his sleep. There are not enough words to describe the staff here. Their aura of calm is the first thing that hits you. Dad was in Ashfields Care Home for a very short time, yet the care he received was that of a friend or relative, loving and caring. I have special thanks for the member of staff I had most dealings with because she was with us for Dad's last hours. She is a most special lady. The rest of the staff who dealt with Dad, thanks to all of you, you are the kindest most caring, gentle-hearted people. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are very proud of the staff at Ashfields and are so very glad they made a difference to you and your family at this very sad time.
10/10 for the wonderful and caring staff. It gives us peace of mind to know that our mum is so well looked after. The home feels like walking into a boutique hotel. Fresh, clean and welcoming. Highly recommend.
Thank you, Sascha, your mum is a pleasure to take care of and she has become a friend to many of the staff.
Me and my sister cannot rate this home highly enough. They looked after my mum, on the 'Forget Me Not - Dementia suite', with love and compassion all the way through to the very end. When she died, the care home let us spend our last few days with her. They fed us, cared for us and helped us in our grieving. I would recommend this home to anyone who needs to put their loved one in care. My sister described it as a 'hidden gem'.
Thank you, Karen. Your mum was a wonderful lady and she was a pleasure to look after. Take care of each other and hope we can meet up again.
My mum was in the home for 12 months and received amazing care, attention and nursing throughout her time. The staff really do care about the residents and I could see the love and happiness in my mum’s eyes when members of staff came in to see her. I will be forever grateful to each and every one of them for the love and care they showed me and my family during the last few days of my mum’s life. I felt like I was with extended family and they helped me tremendously. Thank you so much every single one of you. Lots of love.
Thank you so much for such an amazing review, the pleasure was all ours.
My dad became a resident here in May 2020 for palliative care. I couldn't have wished for him to spend his final months anywhere better. In his final days, I was allowed to sit with him and the staff were so supportive, along with endless cups of tea. They've also kept their residents safe through the Covid pandemic.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It is a tough time for everyone at the moment, we are so glad you felt we supported you through a very sad time.
A wonderful care home - fabulous caring and approachable staff and a lovely home from home feel - efficiently managed and all the family are encouraged to join in with specially organised events - would highly recommend to anyone.
Thank you for your review, Clare, I especially like that you said 'family' because that truly is what we want all our residents, staff and residents' families to feel a part of.
Dementia Care in the Forget Me Not Suite is really excellent. Each resident's needs are carefully acknowledged and considered in a stimulating environment. Caring, and friendly staff. My brother is looked after extremely well.
Thank you Elizabeth for your kind words. Looking forward to seeing you again in hopefully the not too distant future.
Mum was admitted to hospital on 15th December after 3 falls in one day, she moved to the Forget Me Not Dementia suite in January 2021 after realising we couldn’t keep her safe at home any longer. Although we haven’t been able to visit mum yet we do get daily photos, videos and updates on the WhatsApp family group link. Mum looks really happy again and has settled in well. So looking forward to seeing Mum again but also want to personally thank all the staff for the wonderful job they are doing and the daily activities which looks like all enjoy.
Thank you Janet for your kind review. Yes, your mum has settled really well and is a pleasure to have in our family.
Finding a care home for my husband was the hardest thing I have had to do, thankfully I was recommended Ashfields. After talking to staff and meeting residents my concerns were allayed. April 2020 my husband transferred to the "Forget me not Dementia Suite" greeted by an amazing Care Team who offered comfort and patience to help him settle into this happy, friendly, safe space. Ashfields have worked tirelessly during Covid to ensure the safety of our loved ones, we have stayed connected via Whatsapp Group with messages and videos. The home itself is clean and bright the new Foyer and Reception look smart, my husband’s room is comfortable and he enjoys his meals, but it is the staff who make this home so special, I cannot thank the entire team enough for the understanding and compassion they show my husband every day, they do their utmost to meet his ever-changing needs and provide us both with continued effective support. I would not hesitate to recommend Ashfields to other families.
Thank you for your kind words. You know we are also here for you too.
My father is in the best care and place we could ever wish for. We do not have to worry about him, as we have met all the staff whilst Dad has been a resident, and they are all so kind and caring. Dad is resident in the Forget Me Not area of the care home and has been for around 18 months. He is loved and cared for and thinks the world of the staff, as do we. Dad is so precious to us, and courtesy and respect is shown to him always. Great facilities, clean and fantastic food!
Thank you for your kind words Karen your dad is a pleasure to take care of.
My father was admitted to hospital and needed to be discharged into a care setting. It was difficult at the time as due to covid you could not visit prospective care homes. Having researched online, checked CQC reports etc. I eventually spoke to an ex-work colleague who's mother was at Ashfields. Her recommendation could not have been better. I then contacted Ashfields myself and spoke to both the manager and the dementia suite manager. Both were excellent, highly professional, caring, understanding and very reassuring. My father was eventually discharged from hospital to Ashfields and I cannot be happier with the care he receives every day from the wonderful staff there. Covid has been awful for those in care homes (staff and residents) and their loved ones who have been restricted in visiting etc. Ashfields have always taken great care to look after my father and also to keep me informed and consider my feelings as well. I highly recommend Ashfields.
Thank you, it is a pleasure to look after your dad. He makes us smile every day with his wicked sense of humour. Always here for you too.
Our experience of Ashfields Forget Me Not unit and the team could not be better. My Dad struggles to communicate but the staff work hard to meet his needs. He is treated with respect and dignity, all of the staff know him and greet him by name regardless of which area they work in. Dad was in a different home before and we see such a difference in the care of my Dad and also in the communication we have with the team. They go above and beyond expectations. Throughout the covid restrictions, such effort has been made to enable safe visiting where possible. We would not hesitate to recommend Ashfields to anyone.
Thank you for your lovely kind words. It means the world just to see the look on your dad's face when he sees you. Priceless!
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the whole team at Ashfields. Every member of the Forget Me Not Dementia team makes sure that my mum is well cared for and the daily communication is great. The past few months have been difficult but the staff have posted videos and photos of mum and other residents having a great time. It is a real comfort to know that they are as happy as they can be - thank you Ashfields! I just wanted to note that you are amazing and without your support, Mum wouldn't be as well as she is. From the cleaners to the carers, the cooks, the management and every member of support staff keep being positive, keep smiling and keep making everyone happy! You are all fantastic and we love the dancing, singing and warm hearts that help mum. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Keep being brilliant, as you have been throughout this time! Look forward to seeing you when we can. Best wishes to all at the Amazing Ashfields!
Thank you Deborah for taking the time in writing such a brilliant review. All at Ashfields are so grateful. Your mum is such a character and she certainly keeps us on our toes (in a good way) wouldn't be without her. Look forward to seeing you all soon.
After a fall and a stint in hospital my mother-in-law was transferred here to the Forget Me Not Dementia Suite. Our family cannot praise the place and especially the staff enough. Although we haven't been into the property due to Covid, my husband did have a visit where he stayed outside and spoke to his mum on the phone so she could see him. We get regular updates and photos of events via a WhatsApp Family Group and if my mother-in-law needs anything then the staff pick up the phone and call. The food looks fabulous with a 4-week meal plan to view on the website, I think I'd like to move in myself! Thank you to all the staff, you all do an outstanding job under difficult circumstances at times.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments this means so much.
I am pleased I chose Ashfields Care Home for my wife after having a few favourable reports where she is in the dementia unit, where the management and staff have been very helpful and friendly in settling her down with their cheerful attitude and patience.
I hope you know that we are also here for if you need us.
I would recommend Ashfields without hesitation.
Made very welcome. Offered a drink and happy to see our friend so well cared for.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Look forward to you visiting again.
