Shipley Common Lane, Ilkeston DE7 8TQ
Coppice and Oakside consists of two purpose-built bungalows which are located close to United Health’s Church View and Larklands care homes. Coppice and Oaklands provide care for adults over the age of 18 who have learning disabilities.
The bungalows have a secure outdoor area at the rear, consisting of a patio area with decking and raised garden boxes where residents can grow their own fruit and vegetables, which offers sensory stimulation. There is also a sensory room located in The Coppice which is available to residents from both homes.
Residents can take part in various activities at the homes which are designed by the full-time activities coordinator who takes individual interests and needs into account when planning. Coppice and Oaklands also has a minibus which is used to take residents on trips and outings.
