When he was able to in his early days in the home he would partake in as many activities as possible and was often seen on the website on days out!
Your staff made his final days as comfortable as possible. Thank you to all and thanks to a staff member for all her support and understanding!
Dad resided at Douglas Court from September 2023 to his death in December 2023. The home is a caring environment, calm, clean and welcoming. The staff are friendly and cared for Dad with dignity. Dad was encouraged to take part in activities and in the early months used to enjoy his trips out. Any problems were dealt with and quickly. As Dad deteriorated his needs were met and the staff made him very comfortable and looked after him until the end. A particular staff member and her team should be proud and I would have no hesitation in recommending Douglas Court.
Carers aw always welcoming and friendly. Nothing ever seems to be too much. Cleaners always say hello and will have a chat. The home is clean and warm and inviting. Everyone always welcomes my children too which is a huge bonus.

This is the very best experience of what a care home should be. All residents are treated with the respect and care they should. Nothing is too much trouble. All staff, from top to bottom, want to provide the best possible care. There are daily activities for residents. My mother-in-law is loving it. The food is excellent and hot. Call bells answered within minutes. Everything you would hope for when leaving a family member. There is nothing to fault. They went above and beyond for Mum's 93rd birthday.

My father has been a resident for nearly a year. The family have been very happy with the care my father received throughout his stay. He has been treated with dignity and respect at all times. All the staff are polite, caring and kind, you can tell their heart is in their job and workplace. This has been an extremely difficult time and the manager and team have been very supportive.

We are really pleased with how Grandma has settled into Douglas Court since February. There are always plenty of staff on hand to care for the residents, they are always very friendly and have a clear understanding of how to care for Grandma and the other residents. The care home is kept spotlessly clean by the support staff and all residents are regularly showered and in clean clothes. These may seem like basic requirements but other homes I have family members residing in don't seem to be able to fulfill any of them.
Thank you for taking the time to leave Douglas Court a review. We are so pleased to hear you are happy with the level of care your grandma is receiving. Thank you for your kind words.
Good communication should there ever be any issues or questions needed to be asked.
