My dad's been at Douglas Court for over 10 years, they do an amazing job, no concerns. He's looked after well, always clean. Dad's always down in one of the rooms chatting and talking to residents and staff.

My Mother in Law was well cared for and seemed very happy.

We couldn't have wished for a better care home for our mum. She was reluctant, to say the least when she first arrived last summer. This was made difficult by the fact that we haven't been able to see inside the home or seen that much of her but slowly she has settled in. She has always told us about the wonderful staff and the care she receives. She has said more than a couple of times when we visit, she likes the hotel she's staying at! She has told us the home-cooked food is marvellous and looking on the social media website, the activities she gets involved in are better than anything I got up to during lockdown! So, a big thank you to all the staff for your ongoing support and the dedication you give to your job, especially in these difficult times.

I find the management and all the staff very professional, friendly understanding, helpful and very caring people. I know that all the residents that are in care at Douglas Court receive the best caring that anyone could wish for. I have recommended Douglas Court to a number of people and will continue to do so. I would like to thank them for the care and understanding they have shown to me in these troubled times.

Douglas Court Care Home was recommended to us for my mum. She has dementia and absolutely loves being there. The staff and carers are so kind, caring and wonderful to my mum and to myself. During what has been a very difficult year, the staff and carers have provided an excellent and safe environment for residents. They organised video calls to start with, then garden visits and have now invested in garden cabins during the cold weather to maintain contact with our loved ones. Well done to everyone at Douglas Court, you are mum’s second family.

We couldn’t have wished for a better care home for my Dad to spend his last months. Everyone went out of their way to ensure he was well cared for and looked after. He loved the food and the staff and was always as happy as he could be in spite of being parted from his wife. Every effort was made so we could keep in contact with him during these difficult times.

Staff have been very, very kind to me as I lost my wife recently. The carers and staff have been so kind and have always gone the extra mile to help me. Thanking you all once again.

I cannot fault any one aspect of Douglas Court. All staff and management are extremely kind and helpful. The home is kept spotless and food is very good.

From the moment I entered until the moment I left the facility, all staff were personable, polite and enthusiastic, not just towards me but to all residents. I was not expecting to find staff so fully engaged with the residents (some of whom were very limited in their ability to interact). Douglas Court is a lovely welcoming place. My mum is very content and settled only after one week. She looks better than she's looked in months. The staff are all so kind, friendly and hardworking they obviously care so much about everyone that is resident here. I could not wish for a better place for my mum to be now that she is unable to live at home.
