Douglas Court is a family-run, award-winning care home providing affordable quality care based within close proximity to Derby city centre providing easy access to bus stops, train station and local amenities.

A friendly, well-trained team ensure high standards of residential and dementia care in a comfortable, caring and compassionate environment.

Resident happiness and well-being is at the heart of the home and dedicated activity coordinators provide a daily fun, engaging and stimulating social programme designed to encourage residents to lead a fulfilled, happy and enriched life.

In the dementia care suites, residents have access to sensory areas, reminiscence activities and memory boxes. A minibus, means residents frequently get out and about on day trips to places of local interest.

The purpose-built home has a range of large comfortable bedrooms and spacious communal lounges. Home-cooked meals are served in a dining room overlooking the pleasant landscaped sensory garden, which also has a patio seating area and an aviary.

I find the management and all the staff very professional, friendly understanding, helpful and very caring people. I know that all the residents that are in care at Douglas Court receive the best caring that anyone could wish for. I have recommended Douglas Court to a number of people and will continue

Douglas Court Care Home was recommended to us for my mum. She has dementia and absolutely loves being there. The staff and carers are so kind, caring and wonderful to my mum and to myself. During what has been a very difficult year, the staff and carers have provided an excellent and safe environment
for residents. They organised video calls to start with, then garden visits and have now invested in garden cabins during the cold weather to maintain contact with our loved ones. Well done to everyone at Douglas Court, you are mum’s second family.

We couldn’t have wished for a better care home for my Dad to spend his last months. Everyone went out of their way to ensure he was well cared for and looked after. He loved the food and the staff and was always as happy as he could be in spite of being parted from his wife. Every effort was made so
we could keep in contact with him during these difficult times.

My first impression of the home was excellent and that has not changed. The team are all lovely, kind, caring and go the extra 10% every day. My father in law has always been happy and we are reassured that he is well cared for and safe.

The management and staff at Douglas Court are excellent. It is extremely well managed, clean and caring.

We have been very pleased with how well mum has been looked after since she moved here. All the staff are very attentive and kind. Also, we have been very impressed with how well staff monitor mums condition and respond very quickly if she needs a doctor. Staff are all very experienced and capable to

From the moment I entered until the moment I left the facility, all staff were personable, polite and enthusiastic, not just towards me but to all residents. I was not expecting to find staff so fully engaged with the residents (some of whom were very limited in their ability to interact). I am certain

Douglas Court is a lovely welcoming place. My mum is very content and settled only after one week. She looks better than she's looked in months. The staff are all so kind, friendly and hardworking they obviously care so much about everyone that is resident here. I could not wish for a better place for

What a wonderful residential home for my mother in law to spend what may be her last days.
Sadly she has deteriorated rapidly with her dementia and has had to sadly be moved into a nursing home.
All of the staff at Douglas Court have been wonderful.

My mother had the best care I could hope for. The staff were very attentive and very professional in all tasks.
The management were very helpful and had time to discuss any problems we may have had. My only regret is having to move my mother into a nursing home.
I would recommend Douglas Court to
anyone.
