Moat House does an excellent job of providing enjoyable activities for residents and is always responsive to suggestions.

From the initial enquiry every effort was made to make my parents and family part of the Moat House experience. They quickly settled in with support from all the staff. Despite difficult times with my mother the staff remain professional and involve family in decisions to be made. Records can be accessed at anytime. 24 hour access to the home helps due to the distance I have to travel to the home. All staff including cleaners, cooks and care staff appear friendly to both my parents and family. The grounds are a delight to walk round.

My parents have been cared for now for a few months. Nothing is too much trouble and myself and family are always made to feel at home. As we have young grand children the aviary and gardens are always popular to visit. We recently had a family birthday party in the 60's kitchen.

I have visited a close friend in Moat House for the past five years. She had Alzheimer's disease and needed a great deal of support. The final 2 years of her life - she died recently - were spent in the dementia unit. It is hard to find words to express how wonderful the staff were. They understood dementia so well and gave her so much individual attention. The home was always spotlessly clean and always smelt fresh. During my friends final days, they cared for her lovingly and with great patience as well as supporting her friends and family. She was fortunate indeed to have chosen Moat House.

The Moat House team cared for my mother for the final 10 1/2 years of her life. During this time they were always attentive to her needs and made her feel at home. Many facilities for entertainment exist at the home and although she didn't really participate a full diary of events was offered to while away the hours. With our families and careers to attend to, my brothers and I were grateful to the staff for their dedication and also took comfort from the knowledge that mother was safe and as happy as she could be, since the loss of my father.

Apprehension was soon dispelled after arrival. Any requests are attended to without any fuss or argument. Staff especially friendly and accommodating. ample food, nicely presented.

I am really impressed with both the level of care and the facilities available to the residents. Our granddad seems happy and content with his life here. He always has a new story to tell and has made friends with the other residents.

I would like to commend all the staff at Moat House Care Home for the way they are looking after my dad, who has now been a resident for eight months as he is suffering from Alzheimers. From the management and office and reception staff, through to the team of carers, activities organiser, the laundry, kitchen, cleaners and maintenance staff. Between them they provide a caring, compassionate and respectful environment, which is second to none. There is always someone available to speak to and requests are actioned immediately, whether that is bringing a cup of tea, help in the bathroom, requesting a visit from the doctor or help with paperwork. They always have time for you and nothing is too much trouble. Moat House has a busy activities schedule and provides varied musical entertainment on a regular basis, which my dad particularly enjoys and, although he struggles with his memory, it is amazing to see him singing along to old songs, which can make him laugh and sometimes cry. It is very stimulating and I can see that he enjoys it greatly. His spirits are always lifted after singing. I would like to thank all at Moat House for making what is a very difficult time of my dad's life the best it could possibly be.

Moat House is well run, high end accommodation for all needs. It cares for able bodied, well aged residents up to and including dementia and end of life residents. The staff are well trained, empathetic and caring. The accommodation is new, modern, well kept and very well maintained. My mother has always been treated with the utmost care and respect. I have also been accorded the same care and attention at all times.

103 year old mother-in-law is quite a new resident but we have been impressed time and again how the staff are so caring and helpful and attentive. When learning about the home before deciding it was suitable for her, all that we were told the home and staff would do/provide some things sounded too good to be true, but our experience now that she is here is that it was all true and even better in some ways. Moat House is absolutely super and we have no misgivings at all about our decision for her to come here.

My grandmother was cared for with love, thoughtfulness and kindness. Doctors were called when needed and she developed good friendships whilst at Moat House. In her last month at Moat House. The management kindly invited the whole family for Christmas lunch so nine of us celebrated together at Moat House. This kindness will give us such happy memories of her time there.

Our experience since my mother was moved to a care home following ill health has been very good. We know she is being looked after well in a warm and safe environment. She now has the opportunity to have a more active life as there are activities provided everyday. She has company from both carers and other residents, is fed well and does not have to worry anymore about being safe.

Moat House is a genuinely wonderful care home which sets a very high standard for any other care homes in the area to live up to.

I have been thoroughly impressed with the building, all of the facilities on offer (and there are many, including an old fashioned pub and a cinema!) as well as the care service at Moat House. More importantly than all of the above though is the fact that my 92 year old Granddad is happy there. He has always been a very sociable chap and he has made many new friends, not only with the other residents but with the staff as well.

My father was a resident for 5 months, during his stay he was treated with the utmost dignity by all the staff. We were continually informed of any health or well being issues. The compassion and care shown to my father at the end of his life was outstanding, as was the well being of myself and my family. I will never be able to thank them enough.
