Overall Experience

Magnolia is such a lovely and very clean care home. My mum thoroughly enjoyed her stay whilst I was away on holiday. She said that if she has to go for respite again that she would like to go there again. Management and the carers were wonderful to Mum and myself. They were very friendly and Mum built great bonds with them and the residents there. I am extremely happy the way that they have cared for Mum whilst I was away and shall definitely send her back there for a stay when need be. Many thanks to you all.

My sister has been a resident for approximately three months. Of course, at first, she didn't want to be there but has gradually settled down. The staff are very caring and understanding and what I find particularly reassuring is that at all times a member of staff is in the lounge area with the residents. My sister enjoys the food and is always clean and properly dressed.

My mother's life has changed since she went into the home. She went from sitting at home doing nothing to being very active and very chatty when we visit her.

My husband was transferred from hospital in an anxious state after treatment. The care and friendliness of the staff has been a major reason for him relaxing and feeling settled in a lovely room. I can visit at anytime and my questions are answered. I feel that he is safe and happy there. This has been a big help to me knowing I can have confidence that he is well looked after.

Couldn't wish for a more caring home! My nan has been wonderfully looked after here for the last 18 months at this home. Visits are always well accommodated and I'm always kept well informed of any changes.

Amazing care. I can't thank the team enough and words would not be enough. I placed both my parents here for four weeks. They came back home singing praise, but also looking better! Thank you to all the lovely carers.

Dad's last few weeks were spent here. I can't praise this nursing home enough. The staff, food and level of care were first class. I wish Dad could have had longer here as he was so well cared for. Thank you.

My father was at The Magnolia and was treated extremely well with the whole staff and the activity’,s which were laid on for its residents. From the nursing team, carers, maintenance staff and cleaners all treated the residents with the up-most respect and dignity. He was there for palliative care and end of life care, and I was very happy with the time he spent there. Thank you; you all should be proud of yourselves.

Overall Experience

My mother-in-law has recently moved into The Magnolia Care Home, and I can not believe the improvement in her wellbeing. She has settled in well, in a short space of time, this is due to the management and care staff being extremely sensitive and caring towards her as she suffers with dementia. Her personal hygiene has improved immensely, and her appetite has also improved due to the vast variety of homemade food. My mother-in-law has started to communicate a lot more and has started to laugh again. Can't thank the care home enough!

My father went into Magnolia Care Home for respite before his actual date. We were invited to go and have a look round and stay for some lunch. We were greeted by staff who were lovely, very polite, they sat with us and talking to dad, they made him feel at home and part of the family. My father became very weak and passed away on 12th September. The staff were fantastic with him and our family, they were always on hand if anything was needed or if we had any questions. I'd like to thank all the staff.

On viewing the home for Dad for a few weeks respite care we found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. We chose a lovely room for him located upstairs. The home always smelt nice and clean and all the staff made the effort to get to know Dad and his family. The cook did an excellent job and the food always looked delicious, Although Dad was only there for some respite for my Mum, he did settle there quite well. He loved being able to go outside into the garden area and having the option of the quieter areas provided. A lovely care home.

My dad was a resident at Magnolia House during the last year of his life. Management and staff at the home treated my dad with respect, good humour and kindness throughout. The home has many residents with advanced dementia but nothing was too much trouble and staff were approachable and caring with all residents.

The home does offer some activities both in a group and individual basis which helped enhance their daily lives, along with the general good care that staff gave on an individual basis. As family members, we were also greeted warmly by all the staff in the home.

From my first visit to see the home, I was welcomed by friendly staff. They listened to our concerns and carried out our wishes and have continued to do so.
We are always welcomed on each visit and given updates and they always telephone us if there's an issue.

My relative has, in my opinion, blossomed in her new home and her skin is so improved as they are always on top of any issues.

I often come to visit my friend. The home is always clean and smells fresh. Management are always very friendly and helpful. His room is always cleaned on a daily basis and he is very happy in his home. Food is good and there is plenty to go around. Really love it when the music man visits, my friend is so happy. Really cannot fault the care and support which I see given to others in the home. I would definitely recommend this home to others.
