Couldn't wish for a more caring home! My nan has been wonderfully looked after here for the last 18 months at this home. Visits are always well accommodated and I'm always kept well informed of any changes.

Amazing care. I can't thank the team enough and words would not be enough. I placed both my parents here for four weeks. They came back home singing praise, but also looking better! Thank you to all the lovely carers.

Dad's last few weeks were spent here. I can't praise this nursing home enough. The staff, food and level of care were first class. I wish Dad could have had longer here as he was so well cared for. Thank you.

My father was at The Magnolia and was treated extremely well with the whole staff and the activity’,s which were laid on for its residents. From the nursing team, carers, maintenance staff and cleaners all treated the residents with the up-most respect and dignity. He was there for palliative care and
end of life care, and I was very happy with the time he spent there. Thank you; you all should be proud of yourselves.

My mother-in-law has recently moved into The Magnolia Care Home, and I can not believe the improvement in her wellbeing. She has settled in well, in a short space of time, this is due to the management and care staff being extremely sensitive and caring towards her as she suffers with dementia. Her
personal hygiene has improved immensely, and her appetite has also improved due to the vast variety of homemade food. My mother-in-law has started to communicate a lot more and has started to laugh again. Can't thank the care home enough!

My father went into Magnolia Care Home for respite before his actual date. We were invited to go and have a look round and stay for some lunch. We were greeted by staff who were lovely, very polite, they sat with us and talking to dad, they made him feel at home and part of the family. My father became
very weak and passed away on 12th September. The staff were fantastic with him and our family, they were always on hand if anything was needed or if we had any questions. I'd like to thank all the staff.

On viewing the home for Dad for a few weeks respite care we found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. We chose a lovely room for him located upstairs. The home always smelt nice and clean and all the staff made the effort to get to know Dad and his family. The cook did an excellent job and
the food always looked delicious, Although Dad was only there for some respite for my Mum, he did settle there quite well. He loved being able to go outside into the garden area and having the option of the quieter areas provided. A lovely care home.

My dad was a resident at Magnolia House during the last year of his life. Management and staff at the home treated my dad with respect, good humour and kindness throughout. The home has many residents with advanced dementia but nothing was too much trouble and staff were approachable and caring with
all residents.
The home does offer some activities both in a group and individual basis which helped enhance their daily lives, along with the general good care that staff gave on an individual basis. As family members, we were also greeted warmly by all the staff in the home.

The staff are all very caring and professional. They gave my sister the utmost care and always treated her with dignity, always friendly and very helpful. My sister, unfortunately, did not survive long, but she seemed happy and contented while in this care.

From my first visit to see the home, I was welcomed by friendly staff. They listened to our concerns and carried out our wishes and have continued to do so.
We are always welcomed on each visit and given updates and they always telephone us if there's an issue.
My relative has, in my opinion, blossomed
in her new home and her skin is so improved as they are always on top of any issues.

I often come to visit my friend. The home is always clean and smells fresh. Management are always very friendly and helpful. His room is always cleaned on a daily basis and he is very happy in his home. Food is good and there is plenty to go around. Really love it when the music man visits, my friend
is so happy. Really cannot fault the care and support which I see given to others in the home. I would definitely recommend this home to others.

There is never enough staff to deal with all the residents.


I don't know if he is getting enough to eat and help with his food (2 stone lost).


They never listen to my complaints about laundry, all his socks, pants and pyjamas go missing. When I see him he has other people's pants on.


He never

looks clean and wholesome.

The home has been under new management since May, who are working very hard to rectify any concerns raised. Management has an open door policy and deals with all complaints promptly.
We have recently had our CQC report rating as 'Good' and staffing levels were all in line for service users needs.
We have a 5-star rating in our kitchen for food and hygiene and have kept this for many many years.
A dietician has visited this specific service user in line with weight loss and has no further input or concerns as they have a healthy weight and a very healthy appetite. A referral was made initially due to weight loss.
We have had previous issues with pants and socks, however, we are addressing this and trying to rectify this concern.
This service user is showered and shaved every day.
An activity coordinator position is currently being sought but staff partake in activities daily.

My mother is in The Magnolia Care Home. I found the manager very helpful and always on had to answer any question I have to ask, also my mum. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food is very nice and my mum is very happy and settled here.

I used to live next door to a lady who is residing at Magnolia Care Home, she has been staying there for a long time now and every time I visit the staff cannot do enough for me and my friend. I am always welcomed with a big smile from the administrator. I’m always asked how I am and if I would like
a drink. My friend's room is decorated to her likes and she is able to put whatever she likes on the wall which the handyman does for her. My friend's health has improved immensely since staying at Magnolia. I would recommend this home to anyone.

My experience as the wife of resident (who has passed away) had been very positive. The staff from senior management to the carers were very friendly, caring towards my husband. They all treated him with dignity and compassion. Nothing was too much for them. They welcomed my family, friends and myself
with great affection. I appreciated the efforts constantly trying to do their best for us and everyone.
