My mother's decline had been becoming a worry as her basic functions at home had grown worse. Dementia had robbed her of her independence and it was vital we found a care home with facilities and staff to meet her needs. Spencefield Grange has the ability to take away any anxiety we had of her needs being met. Professional staff ensure she is stimulated and her anxieties observed and reassurances given. The staff are excellent.

The staff @ Spencefield Grange took care of my father as though he was their family. They also took care of my mother as she visited him. I have friends who evaluate care homes who visited my dad and they said this was one of the best they've visited.

Meet the Team (2)

I started my career in care as a Health Care Assistant and have progressed and worked my way up through the Health and Social Care Industry, working across many services such as mental health, learning disability, children's services and dementia nursing reaching the position of Area Manager.
In 2021 I joined Kirklands Care as their Operations Manager overseeing all of their care homes. Kirklands Care is a family run business that shared my own beliefs of care and that the residents care is of upmost priority and this for me comes first. My love of spending time with the residents shines through my work, hearing their stories and having the ability to make a difference in their lives. Every resident I care for is treated how I would expect my family member to be cared for which for me is with love dignity and respect. My role allows me to work with families to take the pressure off whilst allowing them to feel their loved one is in a suitable environment, is safe and cared for.

I began my journey in care in 2020 at the age of 19, shortly after completing my A-levels and realising that this was the path I wanted to pursue. I started as a Care Assistant and worked my way up to Senior Care Assistant, before progressing into my current role as Deputy Manager. Along the way, I’ve also supported in key roles such as Catering Manager and within Housekeeping, all within the care home setting.
I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Lead Adult Care Work and continue to build on my knowledge and experience every day.
My passion for care began in childhood. Growing up around the care sector often accompanying my mum to work. Some of my fondest memories come from being in that environment. From a young age, I learned about dementia and the importance of providing care with dignity, compassion and purpose.
For me, care has never been just a job. It’s a lifelong commitment. I’m dedicated to supporting individuals to live with comfort, respect, and a strong sense of self because everyone deserves to feel valued, heard, and truly cared for.
