When my aunt moved into Thurn Court she was very nervous and a little afraid. All the staff have made sure my aunt feels at ease. The staff always keep me informed of my aunt's moods and concerns. My aunt tells me how nice the staff are. It gives me peace of mind that THEY DO CARE. Keep up the good work all.

My mum recently went to Thurn Court for respite and we have now decided she will stay permanently. The management has been extremely supportive. Throughout this time, they have been open and honest with me and mum and dealt with any concerns in a caring and timely manner. All staff we have encountered are thoughtful and caring and seem happy in their work. We have a new room which is fab! Mum eats all the food and especially keen on the puddings. I understand the activities are a work in progress - but the young man in charge of this is extremely enthusiastic and keen to succeed.

The only complaint my wife and I have is getting auntie's clothes back when being taken to be washed. I have taken the trouble to have labels done with her full name on and she still ends up with other people's clothes. I have complained to the office and we have another auntie who will be going there soon so I am hoping the laundry problem will be settled by then.

Our friend has been a resident at Thurn Court for a number of years, and when we have visited, we have always been impressed by the care and attention supplied by all the staff, making a very difficult job appear to be easier than it is.

They always go to a lot of trouble for special occasions which the residents appear to enjoy. I know from personal experience how hard it is to place a family member in care, but I would be happy to do so from what I see at Thurn Court.

On visiting my mum she looks well and cared for, clean and as comfortable as she can be. Staff are always around and have a chat with her. They make me feel they are happy to be at work. I hear chat and laughter which I feel is a good environment to live in.
the home never smells and someone is always cleaning.
All through the home it shows homely warmth in decor and feeling.

Thank you all.

I cannot praise highly enough the kindness and care shown to my mother by all the staff at Thurn Court. She was immediately made to feel at ease and welcomed seamlessly into her new environment. The care given to her as an individual is faultless and all her needs have been met without exception. The consideration given to members of the family is also second to none. Having had unhappy experiences in the past with care given to other elderly relatives, I would have no hesitation in giving the highest recommendation possible to Thurn Court.

No night manager on duty Thursday 11th and Friday 12th of February. During the take over meeting we had been assured a night manager would always be on shift. The above dates that we know of a manager was not present! Why?

My nan was taken really ill from a fall and a suspected stroke. We didn't think she would make it through till Friday. Thankfully she did and is improving day by day.

Thurn Court is home from home for the residents and that makes the relatives relaxed knowing their loved ones are cared for in the best way. All residents are individual and they cater for their own personal requirements. Thurn Court is friendly and a lovely atmosphere. If you have any issues the manager, seniors will sort them out for you. Since Thurn Court has been taken over you can see the changes to the inside of the building making it look brighter and clearer, more activities are happening.

Too much time is spend writing up notes and reports on residents rather than actually caring for them. Carers do not have enough time to chat with residents and their relatives regarding any concerns they may have.
