What an incredible care home. Bursting at the seams with kindness, hard work and a dedication to every single resident. Monson is without doubt one of the best care homes in Lincoln - as the daughter of resident with complex needs they provide a safe and loving environment. The management are hands on and communication is first class. In my opinion it's really hard getting older and making the transition to living in a care home harder and yet all the staff at Monson do all that is possible to ensure residents feel that this is their home.As a relative am welcomed, I can visit anytime, I can participate or spend time in with my mum in her lovely room or one of the many additional spaces . Her friends are welcome too and are all guests are treated to great hospitality. The location in the heart of a busy, diverse university city is brilliant, literally a stones throw from the city centre and with so many opportunities for the local amenities to be on hand. I would highly recommend
Thank you for your continued support and wonderful comment. We have passed your feedback to the team.
My mum moved into monson street at the beginning of January, at first she was very reluctant to go,but is now enjoying being a member the care family, she has come on so much and really enjoys taking part in the activities, she especially enjoys the visits from the animals.i find the staff very caring, your always greeted with a smile and hello, they all seem to a care a great deal about the residents and nothing is to much trouble,I would really recommend Monson care home for your loved ones,it gives you real peace of mind
Thank you for such wonderful comments - we're delighted to support you all & have passed your feedback to the team.
Always a pleasure to visit Monson Care Home. Christmas festivities in full swing and everybody enjoying themselves. The staff put a huge amount of effort into keeping the residents entertained. Brilliant!
Many thanks for your kind comments - Happy New Year!
Mum initially went in for 2 weeks respite but is now in full time. As a family we cannot speak highly enough of all the staff throughout the care home. From the minute we walked in to have a look around, we have been made to feel so welcome and the team there feel like family. The care that they all provide is absolutely second to none I cannot fault anything. They have fantastic activities twice a day an amazing menu everyday and frequent drinks and snacks throughout the rest of the day. The staff have made a very difficult and emotional decision so much easier and have been and still are a constant support to our family. I would definitely recommend Monson Care Home for your loved one
Thank you for such wonderful comments - we're delighted to support you all & have passed your feedback to the team.
My father spent a month in the Monson Care Home and was very well cared for. The staff were professional, empathetic and caring throughout. My father was kept well-fed and hydrated and was always clean and well-turned out. The staff were always helpful and accommodating in all my dealings with them. Thank you very much for taking such good care of my father.
Thank you for your kind comments. We pride ourselves on being professional, empathetic and caring to all residents. We hope that your dad is still doing well.
We called to visit my brother-in-law as he is in for respite care with you. The home was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The garden area is very nice we sat out there for quite a long time. His bedroom was also a good size with a private bathroom which was also very clean. The only negative is the lack of parking for the home.
Thank you for the review. We pride ourselves in providing the best care to all residents, and provide a homely atmosphere for the residents, visitors & staff. Unfortunately, due to the location of the home we do struggle with parking. We do have resident parking permits, which we lend out to...
Thank you .
Thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot to know that all of the hard work all of our team provide, has not gone unnoticed.
Monson care home is exceptionally lovely. At its core it has the very best and most dedicated team .All the carers, caterers, housekeeping, entertainment and well-being coordinators, receptionist , administrators and managers are exceptional .I have only encountered kind , calm , hard-working , thoughtful and professional staff. My mother is staying now as a permanent resident after a long hospital admission. She is happy, relaxed and very well cared for. She has been able to have her own chair in her room and other items that make her feel relaxed and at home. she is treated with respect and kindness. There are always activities that are inclusive and well considered. I am impressed with the consistency of the quality of care -as I visit a lot so I feel confident this is a true reflection. In my opinion it is one of the very best care homes in the area, and the team should be incredibly proud of what they provide and achieve. I would recommend to others without hesitation.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments, your mum is a pleasure to look after. It means a lot to know that all of the hard work all of our team provide, has not gone unnoticed.
I have been treated with great care and respect all the time I've been here. The encouragement I've been given to help to walk again has been 10/10. I can't fault any member of staff, they are all so very helpful and pleasant too. I'll miss you all x
Thank you so much for your kind words, we really do appreciate them. Our door is always open if you would like to visit us anytime.
My brother was admitted into the home mid August 2024 due to him being in a confused state of mind, upon his arrival the staff have done everything possible to make him feel at home, we were able to take him his own chair and put it in his room, along with other personal belongings. I would highly recommend Monson Care Home for permanent residency or restbite
thank you so much for your kind words. Your brother is a joy to look after, always smiling and making others smile in the process. He is a pleasure.
My uncle came into the home in Aug 2024, he was accepted into the home with the relevant professions sorting paperwork out, they have been so accommodating for him, nothing is too much trouble, the staff are friendly and approachable. They all work incredibly hard and a member of staff in particular is amazing with the residents with her daily activities, they make visitors and family welcome at all times, they keep us informed by either email or phone call with regular updates
Thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot to know that all of the hard work all of our team provide, has not gone unnoticed.
It was a difficult decision for my parents to go into care due to dementia. They both ended up in Monson about six months ago. The thing that stands out the most is the genuine care, dignity and respect of the management and staff. You can tell that they truly care for their residents and they are always prepared to go the extra mile. The everyday kindness is ever present. Furthermore the management are very responsive in contact with families and both provide information and answer questions very quickly. Big thanks to the special and exceptional staff of Monson!!
Thank you very much for those kind words, It has been a pleasure getting to know your whole family and caring for your parents. I will ensure this review is passed over to the team. We do pride ourselves on the high standards of care we deliver and appreciate your kind comments.
I visited my mother today, it was her birthday. I was most impressed by the level of care and activity that had been organised. The afternoon tea was a nice thought and included all the other residents, for once my mum was the centre of attention. I had a fabulous visit today and look forward to my next. Thank you Monson for looking after my mum.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are very pleased that your mother enjoyed her special birthday tea, and that you could all participate. She definitely deserved it.
Dad is very well cared for and the home is very active in organising stimulating and fun activities, outings and visits from local schools, therapy animals and musicians. I feel he's in the best of hands at this delicate stage of life and couldn't be happier with his care.
Thank you very much for a wonderful review, we will ensure this is passed on to the team. We do try to provide active and engaging activities and have a fantastic team who support this throughout our home. We are happy to be caring for your dad and appreciate your comments.
My mother has been a resident at Monson for 8 years and has enjoyed the best of care. All the care staff are very attentive and always treat my mum with respect and compassion. The home offers a wide range of healthy and tasty food and the home has a clean and welcoming environment. A variety of activities are offered to keep the residents engaged and mentally/physically stimulated.
Many thanks for your lovely comments. Your mother is a joy to look after, always the life and soul of our care home. I will pass on your comments to all of our staff, who I am sure will appreciate them as much as I do.
It is a hidden gem in the area. I was instantly struck by how lovely the spacious en-suite bedroom was and the hotel vibe of their restaurant and spacious lounge.
All the staff are so caring and friendly from the reception team through to the senior team and manager.
As a family, it was a difficult decision to make to find a home for my mum who was struggling with bereavement and dementia. But I am constantly saying how lucky we were to find this one!
A special shout out to one of the ladies who is the most amazing activities co-ordinator!
Thank you
Jackie
Many thanks for such kind comments - whilst we're a bit biased, we think we have the best activities co-ordinator in Lincoln.
is second to none. My mother has been there for 14 months and the care and support they give her is just amazing, she speaks English but is Italian and with dementia it's a challenge but they rise to it 100%. Can't speak more highly enough
of the management and staff. Keep the good work up Monson Care Home.
Many thanks for such a wonderful review. We will pass it on to the team.
My dad has been here for 4 weeks for emergency respite. He leaves tomorrow, so I wanted to let people know about this care home. Anyone who rates this facility any less than 5 stars is not seeing what I have. As a carer I have worked in some homes that I wouldn't want my dogs in nevermind parents. From the first day there were several staff members that came and welcomed my dad. Took him to his own room. This room was immaculate. The care and dedication the staff give to each and every individual in their care is second to none. They are very friendly to us visitors too and can me and my brother a meal so we could eat with our dad which was such a lovely touch. I loved seeing activities taking place and how well everyone took part. I highly recommend this care facility. To all the staff, including cooks, cleaners and the washing team thank you so much for everything you have all done, to contribute to my dad being able to come home.
Many thanks for such a wonderful review, we're delighted with your comments and will ensure they're passed to the staff team.
A warm welcome and introduction to staff and some of the residents. Shown around the residence more fully during the following day and activities available if so inclined. Free to use general rooms or to stay in own room if wished.
Thanks so much for your kind comments. Our activity co-ordinator works really hard to make sure there is always something engaging for our residents
My mother was discharged from hospital to an Assisted Recovery Bed at Monson Care Home, and is now in short-term care at the home whilst we plan for the future. My mum is a different person since coming to the home. She is settled, calm and content, and this is all down to the amazing care she receives. The home is clean, cheerful and full of life. Mum joins in all the activities planned by the amazing staff, and we have no doubt in recommending the home and all the staff.
Thank you very much for your lovely comments, I will pass these onto the staff. Your mother is a joy to be around, she is very helpful and enjoys joining in with all the activities and chatting to the other residents, with whom she has made friends with. She has settled in very well becoming part of the Monson family, which is a testament to our staff and lovely residents.

My name is Anna Pacyna and I believe my passion for looking after our elderly population started when I was looking after my grandfather. He was unwell and was palliative in his care.
I have worked in the care industry for over 12 years.
I started working in care, as a care assistant. I then moved into a senior carer role, and after 10 years, I was promoted to the Deputy Manager position. After a further year, I took over as the Registered Manager at a Care Home in Welbourn.
I know how challenging all the roles in a care home are, also how difficult it can be for new residents and their loved ones making that transition into care.
All the staff at Monson are supportive and happy to help with any questions.

She is part of our ARB (active recovery beds) team, looking after residents who have been discharged from the hospital and who need some reablement to prepare them to live independently within their own homes.
Marie spends her time looking after her family and spending time with family and friends.
She feels that the home has a lovely atmosphere and enjoys working with her team.

I started working in a Care Home in Waddington at 16. I left care work in 2000 & then went into hospitality & started working in hotels. I then left the hotels & worked for a small admin firm & then from there I went to work in a sports centre in the University of Lincoln as a Receptionist & Administrator. Then moved to Monson Residential Home. I have been here at Monson Residential Home since July 2024.
My personal life - I enjoy spending time with my family & my dog, Toffee. I enjoy crafting, making things, & reading.

Lindsey is our head of maintenance and has worked at Monson for a number of years, dealing with any maintenance issues that may arise. Lindsey is a valued team member, and nothing is too much trouble, often helping out other departments when needed.
Lindsey likes to spend her free time walking her dog, spending time with her family and watching her favourite football team- Manchester United.
Lindsey enjoys working at Monson as she feels that every day is different, and you never know what challenges may arise next.

Amanda has worked in the catering industry since she was 17 yrs old, working in various different places.

Lisa ensures that her team runs smoothly on a day to day basis, ensuring all the homes laundry and housekeeping needs are met.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys going to the theatre, especially in London, and shopping.
The best part about Lisa's job- ensuring the residents are happy and have no issues, chatting to them on a daily basis.

Joanne has been Monson's activity coordinator for a couple of years. She ensures that all residents receive person-centred activities, tailor-made to each resident's needs. Joanne is in charge of organising the daily activities, booking regular entertainment, whether that be in the form of singers, animal therapy and community engagements within the local area, as well as arranging day trips out of the home.
Joanne likes to spend her free time with her family, participating in weekly quizzes, and roller skating and is a season ticket holder at Lincoln City FC.
The best thing about Joanne's job is making the residents laugh, knowing that she has kept people engaged and fulfilled.

Paul has worked at Monson, on days, for nearly 5 years, 2 of which have been Head of Care.
He has worked in various departments within the care sector for over 20 years. He has previously worked with adults with learning difficulties and adults with various addictions, but decided his heart was in caring for the elderly.
In Paul's spare time, he enjoys watching movies and going for leisurely walks with his partner and their new bulldog.
Paul enjoys working at Monson as he feels that it is his second home, as well as having a close working relationship with all the staff.
