Overall Experience
From our first acquaintance with Gregory House, we realised that this was something special. The 'outstanding' award is not given lightly by care home inspectors, and we recognised that this accolade had been applied accurately and appropriately.
Mum, a feisty and independent 99-year-old, had always been fiercely opposed to the notion of full-time care, but after a few visits, she was won over and happily agreed to join this excellent care home when a place became available; she has been a resident for a fortnight.

The administrators and staff are delightful, skilled and totally committed to the care of their residents. Mum's key worker is a joy and came in during leave to welcome Mum and spend time helping her adjust to new surroundings. Every request and query has been answered with courtesy, resulting in a speedy resolution - nothing has been too much trouble. We are very fortunate that Mum is at Gregory House and completely reassured about the quality of her care provision.

Always friendly staff. It is like a home from home nothing is ever too much trouble and always there to listen and help anytime. Nice and clean ample amount of food and drink. Residents are free to do what they choose, eat what they want, get up when they want and never any pressure. One of the nicest homes in the area. Lovely in every way.

Absolutely wonderful place, I had the grace to sit in on a good old fashioned sing-along with the extremely bubbly activity lady, the residents looked so happy. What a happy place.

What can I say. Absolutely fantastic home and staff, especially the senior members of staff bought us so much peace and reassurance that our loved one was looked after and most of all, happy. They sat and listened to not just my family member but all residents there, taking the time to chat about the old days or make them laugh and you could see the resident's face light up. It's not just a profession to the staff. They really do care and that's what you need when it comes to the hard decision of putting a family member into a home such as Gregory House. I recommend the place a hundred times over. Thank you so much for all you've done.

Bright, colourful and a happy environment with warm ethos from the moment you go inside. You can feel the affection shown by staff from the welcome on the point of arrival. Staff work as a team and show real pride in their work. A variety of activities take place. The gardens are attractive and well maintained. Mental and emotional needs are met, you feel safe and respected and are treated as an individual. A quality care experience.

We have been coming to volunteer for 2 months. We had a detail induction and have been made very welcome. We have been supported in running a range of activities with the residents. Painting, colouring, drawing, singing and finding out about residents interests and things that are important to them.

Hello, I am so happy my dad is being so well looked after. All of the staff are so friendly and caring not just to the residents but the family as well. He enjoys the food especially the puddings. He has adjusted really well and is content and happy. He is in a lovely room. He likes to go to bed after tea and they are happy to assist him.

They treat him and everyone with respect and dignity. I am always really happy to visit him, in fact, it brightens my day too. It's kind of like a home from home. God bless everyone.

Gregory House is a wonderful care home. On each occasion, I visit my father, the staff and management are extremely welcoming throughout my visits and any questions or issues about either my father's welfare of requirements are dealt with quickly and reported back when completed. The food is fantastic and I often join my father for lunch. Very peaceful and rooms are tidy and adequate. Lots of entertainment is organised and optional, peaceful areas are available too.

There's always a good atmosphere and as vistors, we always feel welcome.
Most carers are kind and helpful, one or two are exceptional.
The care that we have witnessed is good, sometimes more staff are required to help with toileting and baths and showers.

One of the best homes in Grantham. Well done all.

Dining room floor is never clean, also the tables and chairs.
The staff seem to spend most of their time in the office, not with the residents.

The drain in the car park has been blocked for 12 months, flooding in heavy rain.
