I visit regularly to see a family friend and the staff are always friendly and welcoming and can never do enough for anyone entering the home and especially the residents. There is always activities for the residents and the food is amazing. Senior staff are always there to listen to any concerns and they all work really hard and cannot thank them enough for the care they provide for my friend. I would recommend Gregory House to anyone who ever needed to go into a care setting.

I have been a volunteer with Gregory House for nearly 2 and a half years. I usually go in on a Wednesday from 10 am - 3 pm. I take a trolley around with toiletries, confectionary etc and do different activities with the residents. The home is amazing and feels very friendly and I get a real sense of gratification from my interaction with everyone.

We were happy with the care my mum received during the day but sensed a shortage of staff on a night time when putting residents to bed or requiring the toilet and then having to wait which a lot of the elderly can't do. Food was very good. For staff that had been there all the time my mum was a resident, I would call friends.

My husband and I are close friends of an elderly resident who was my mother's best friend and I have known her since I was a child.
She doesn't have any family so we look out for her and visit regularly.
Our experience of Gregory House has been a positive one.
Ideally, the rooms could be slightly larger, as the current size is very restrictive.
Any care and meal times we have witnessed have been good.

Overall a pleasant environment.

Very good care home but some carers could do with some training - not good at talking to residents at times. Also, carers are slow to react to residents needs and think putting a tea trolley away is more important than taking a resident to the toilet. Think carers need to knock before entering someone's room. Training needed with dignity and respect. This only relates to some carers, NOT all. More staff on shifts would help too!

Care was very good. Food was very good but too few staff, how ever they all keep cheerful working under such stress I don't know!!

It doesn't matter when I visit, from the gardens, to the care home, the food, care, thoughtfulness and expertise of staff is second to none.
Always hygiene conscious.
It would be the care home of my choice for myself if and when the need arose.
I have not seen or heard anything that would cause me to question any aspect of the care home.

Just wonderful management and staff, they are conscientious and efficient. Innovative volunteers who exceed all expectations. Gregory House is a home from home.

At the age of 101, my mother is not the easiest person to care for being doubly incontinent and restricted mobility. She needs mechanical lifting from chair to wheelchair etc. Despite these limitations, she is well cared for. Enjoys the food, feels secure and partakes of the arranged entertainment. She loves singing songs of her era and watching performers who visit the home. We especially commend the care home manager and its entertainment manager. A nice friendly atmosphere, relatives are always made to feel welcome.
