Hartsholme House

I know people who worry about the care their loved ones are getting in homes. I don't worry about my partner's care at all as the staff are so kind, considerate and never rush the residents or become impatient. There is little turnover of staff, so they get to know the residents well. My partner has been at Hartsholme House for two years now and is gradually deteriorating, as expected. But I have peace of mind as I know he's getting the care he needs.

Mum has been a resident at Hartsholme House since earlier this year. She receives excellent care and support together with reassurance when needed. The staff always look smart, are friendly and helpful and can make an excellent cup of tea! We agree with mum that we made the best choice in choosing this home, we highly recommend it.

Our mother has been a resident for the last 25 years and she has always received the best/highest level of care and support possible. The staff are well informed of her needs, they are caring, and considerate and show empathy to strive to meet all her needs on a daily basis.

Excellent care home, I am reassured that Dad is being looked after and is safe. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Staff are caring and work well together as a team.

To be honest there are not enough superlatives to describe the simply outstanding wonderful, care given to residents here. The staff are absolutely fantastic, with genuine warmth combined with professionalism, friendliness, patience and incredible understanding. I had the privilege of staying almost 24/7 during (ex)husband's last days and everything about Hartsholme House showed that there couldn't possibly have been a better place for him to be in the last phase of his life. Loving care, dignity, patience, friendly professionalism, everything was utterly faultless. We can never thank you enough.

The Hartsholme staff are lovely. They always make us feel welcome when we visit. They are lovely with my stepmother-in-law always trying their very best. Thank you to everyone from the front office to all those who provide care. It's so appreciated. Thank you so much.

A pleasure to visit Hartsholme House. Staff always pleasant and helpful. Our friend is always well-dressed and well-presented. The home is very clean, with no odours. Can't fault the home in any way.

We really cannot thank you enough for your care, support and friendship during a really difficult three years. Always a smile and are you ok? A really excellent team led by a wonderful manager. Thank you, every single one of you.

I have been at Hartsholme House for only two months. I was physically very ill on arrival. The care and attention I was given was excellent. Now relatively well and self-sufficient. I am happy to express my opinions. The staff are attentive, friendly, cheerful and when possible will spare a few minutes to chat. This is most welcome for someone still with a working brain. Their day is busy and must be very stressful. I cannot fault the management at all who listened to my requests and acted very quickly to provide answers and take action when feasible.

We had to put Mum into a care home in March 2023 as she was elderly and had dementia and needed around-the-clock care, which we couldn't provide. The home was very clean and run by staff who cared for the patients rather than just doing a job. Sadly Mum passed away at the beginning of December. During those last few weeks, the staff provided extra care for Mum and were very supportive of us, as we watched Mum pass.

I wouldn't want Mum to be looked after anywhere else.

My mother was a resident at Hartsholme House for nearly 7 years, during which time she was perfectly contented. The care that she received was excellent, the staff are friendly, competent and sympathetic to the resident's needs. The low turnover of staff helps maintain a consistent quality of care. Activities at Hartsholme House are thoughtfully arranged to be stimulating and are appropriate to residents' interests and needs.

After consultation with the Management team, we decided Hartsholme House was the preferred place for her later years, as she was clearly not safe being on her own at home, even though she had care. She was brought in on 14th June, and on our first visit on 18th June and all subsequent visits the uplift in mum's mood, demeanour, and physically, has been amazing. So a massive thank you to you all at Hartsholme House.

My mum was cared for and loved by the staff of this lovely home. The home is well run by the manager is hands-on with the residents who live there. The staff are wonderful very professional, caring, hardworking and patient. My mum was well cared for, always looked nice, and her room and the whole home were kept immaculate. I felt happy in the knowledge that the staff did their very best for my mum. Mum passed away in the home. I was cared for too as I sat with my mum. I recommend this home sincerely.

It is always an emotional experience to find the right care home for your loved one. We were very fortunate to find Hartsholme House where our relative lived out her last 18 months. She received superb care and was always dressed and presented very well. Thank you to all the staff.

Before my husband was resident in Hartsholme House he had respite care occasionally in two other homes which were nearer to my home. I was very unhappy with both as they failed on several accounts. I have been very pleased with the care he has received ie the last year. Thank you to all the staff for working so hard.

MY mu has been here for three years now. I have no worries about her care. It clearly shows, how well she is being looked after. Not only do they care for the residents they put so many activities on for them. Staff always pleasant and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them if you do have a problem them will always to their best to solve it. I could not be more grateful for all they do for my mum - a wonderful home.

In my experience as the daughter of a resident and a Healthcare Professional, Hartsholme House is a truly fabulous care home! The excellence starts at the top with the absolute dedication, integrity and kindness of both the Home Manager and Head of Care. Recruitment of suitable staff seems to be key, as their warm personalities light up the home. The staff exhibit genuine love for Mum which makes her feel truly special! Having Mum living in a care home has been a steep learning curve for me. However, it continues to be an absolute pleasure working with the Hartsholme House team to help facilitate her best possible life. I have experienced many examples of individual staff going above and beyond and I am truly appreciative. The senior team understands very clearly what is important in caring for their residents and although it cannot always be easy, they seem relentless in pursuit of perfection. Outstanding care, cleanliness, catering and fun activities! Thank you Hartsholme House!
