St John's Care Home

A really friendly place. The range of activities that the home do is really good. Especially in this difficult time with a lack of visitors. The updates via Facebook and the video calls make all the difference!

The staff are all so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are nice and bright and the whole place is very clean! During my grandfather's stay here he has been very happy and is more sociable now than he ever has been!

Very pleasant surroundings and helpful. Staff made my mothers stay for respite care go very smoothly.

The end of life care was exactly as we would have wanted. Such a high-quality experience. The best of the best.

My mum was only here for a short time but the manager and her staff were extremely kind, helpful and understanding. They looked after mum really well and I know that mum grew very fond of them. I cannot thank them enough and would recommend St John's Care Home. The place itself was exceptionally clean, tidy and was in a lovely setting. I was extremely impressed with St John's and its manager and staff.

My sister has been a resident here for 4 years. As her health has deteriorated the level of care provided at this care home has increased to the point of 24 hours attention. She is rested and peaceful at all times. The facilities are quite excellent, clean, bright and cheerful. The staff are capable, friendly and kind. When my time comes, I want to be in a place like this.

Nothing was too much trouble to the staff, I highly endorse the whole organisation.

We come and visit our friend regularly and she is very happy at St John's, the care is great and staff are very welcoming. We love visiting!

My Grandma has dementia and is very well cared for at St John's. She is as comfortable as can be and we have never had any concerns for her care. All of the meals I have seen look very appetising and her room is kept very clean by the housekeeping staff. Me and my family would highly recommend St John's.

My friend has been in St Johns for nearly a year now and I visit once every few weeks. She is always very happy and looks well looked after. She enjoys joining in with the activities that they have on during the day and loves getting involved with the singing. The staff are always very friendly and helpful if I need anything whilst there.

We have visited on a number of occasions and at different times of the day. We always found the staff to be attentive to the service user needs and she tells us that during the night the staff are equally as attentive and make sure her needs are always met and feels safe and secure. The service user's clothes are laundered and she always looks nice, on some occasions I have found other people's clothes in her draws and wardrobe and have been informed that sometimes she as worn someone else's clothes, which is not ideal for her. Her bedroom is light and nicely decorated and is always clean and smells nice. The communal living area can have an unpleasant smell.

I have only visited on two short occasions so I have said mainly good at the present time. In particular, all the staff are very welcoming and friendly both towards residents and visitors. The way in which I have heard them chatting to residents they appear very kind, caring and respectful of their wishes. I am fully aware that at times it must be a difficult job. That said my aunt seems happy, content and well cared for.

I would like to thank the staff for their care of my sister for the past five weeks. They were very kind and friendly towards her and helped her in her difficult moments.

He has had the same room each time, which I think makes him feel more at home. I really do wish that St John's was able to provide daycare for my husband on odd occasions so as to keep the momentum going between respite stays.

My sister has only been at St John's since the 23rd June 2018 but has settled well, mainly due to the staff and management making her welcome. They are all extremely friendly and caring to residents and visitors. The manager was extremely helpful when we were having difficulties transferring my sister from hospital to the home. We have been very impressed with everyone involved in my sister's care.
