Overall Experience

My Mother-in-Law has been living at Nene Lodge for the last 4 years, since coming out of hospital after a bad fall and a long stay in hospital. Since she has been in Nene Lodge, she has been well looked after and the staff are amazing. She is going to be 95 this year and has been doing really well. She says the food is good and the staff are kind to her. If you are looking for a residential home I would recommend Nene Lodge.

During my mum's time at the home, I found the staff to be very caring and helpful. The rooms were well maintained and my mum felt comfortable in each of the rooms she lived in. The activities were stimulating and my mum had a new lease of life and felt purposeful again. Overall, I am very satisfied with the Nene Lodge.

Overall Experience

Our mother lived at Nene Lodge for 2.5 years, and our father for a short time last year. They both felt very safe there. The family were really relieved that Nene Lodge would be able to look after our mother when she needed palliative care in her last few months.

We have found all the staff to have great empathy, friendliness and compassion when caring for my parents.

The rooms, with ensuites, were of a good size, always clean with great care taken of the furnishings.

The food was good and there was a varied menu.

The owner and Manager always made time to listen to our concerns regarding our parent’s health issues. They are both very hands-on, not just a name on the letterhead.

My brothers and I would highly recommend Nene Lodge to anyone on the journey to find a home for their parent(s).

Overall Experience

My mother had spent a couple of weeks’ respite care in Nene Lodge and had said that if she needed to go into a care home in the future then she would be happy to go there. A year later she did go to Nene Lodge and spent 10 months there in total. She had her own room (with en-suite loo and washbasin) which was quite spacious and able to bring in some of her own furniture and possessions. There were plenty of activities available even though my mother was not always motivated to join in. None the less, the care that she received was excellent in all respects and I thank the owner, manager and all the staff for the respectful and caring way that my mother was treated.

Overall Experience
My dad went into Nene Lodge for respite care as my mum was taken into hospital and he could not manage on his own. We soon realised we had made the right choice. The owner, manager and careers make a great team, nothing seems too much trouble even though I know my dad was demanding.
He regularly complemented the chef on the meals which was his highlight of the day. His room was large, bright and airy with its own bathroom. There were activities to join in throughout the day if you wanted to participate or just sit quietly in one of the lounges.

Overall, a very nice and friendly environment. I cannot thank the staff and management enough for their help and advice through a very difficult time.

Overall Experience
After breaking her leg my mother was fortunate in making Nene Lodge her new home. The detailed approach undertaken by the staff and management team to identify mum’s needs was outstanding. She very quickly felt that this was her home in every sense of the word. Mum enjoyed every aspect of life at Nene Lodge; excellent care, superb meals in a relaxing and well-appointed dining room, a choice of lounges, stimulating company and a range of activities. Most of all she enjoyed the company of the staff who never faulted in giving their time to ensure that mum was enjoying life. It is a very happy and positive environment.

The management and staff are outstanding for their professionalism and passion which means they go that extra mile as a norm. I think Nene Lodge is outstanding because it is staffed by people for whom caring is an innate part of their psychology and this trait is fostered by a perceptive and robust management team who ensure that all in this community are valued.
