Redcote Care Home

I cannot praise Redcote Care Home and its wonderful staff enough. Since moving there, my dad has truly flourished. He is so happy, settled and wonderfully cared for.

The staff are caring, kind, patient and welcoming, always accommodating Dad's needs and respecting his wishes. Nothing is ever too much trouble.

The food is lovely, and they'll even get Dad whatever he wants, including a cooked breakfast! He loves sitting with Jane each morning, enjoying breakfast and debating life together.

Jane keeps me updated about Dad's wellbeing, which gives our family great reassurance.

We are incredibly grateful to all the staff for their kindness, patience and genuine care. We couldn't be happier knowing Dad is happy, valued, respected and so well looked after. Thank you

As I said previously, Redcote has a warm and welcoming environment where visits are encouraged and relatives are kept well informed of any changes, where necessary. Despite recent retirements & new recruitments, staff continue to care for residents with compassion and highly respect their dignity. The dietary requirements of residents are catered for and the variety of engaging activities suit the resident's needs. Over the last seven years, we have been reassured that the best care was being provided. Many thanks.

My Mum has been a resident of Redcote Residential Home for 3 years and during this time it has become her home in every sense of the word. The staff are all exceptional, treating Mum and all the residents as individuals adapting their personal care to meet their individual needs and preferences. Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time and made to feel welcome. As a regular visitor I feel part of the 'Redcote family' and always feel able to discuss Mum's health and well being with the staff. There are a range of activities planned for the residents on a weekly basis and special events, such as, parties and a regular Summer Garden Party. If I am away on holiday I have complete confidence that Mum is safe and receiving the best possible care. I know Mum is very happy at Redcote and she always says how lucky she is to live there because the staff take such good care of her.

I totally agree with the previous positive reviews. My sister has blossomed under the care and respect at Redcote. Such a friendly, professional home from home. We really do feel that we are visiting her in a family environment. - clean and welcoming. It is clear that the staff, ably led by Jane, understand her complex needs and treat her with respect, aware of her interests and developing these. . Living some distance away we are so reassured that she is in a loving, happy, safe and caring environment. Lots of appropriate activities for the residents. We are so lucky to have found such a great team to look after her. Thank you.

Our mum has been extremely well looked after and cared for by all the lovely happy staff that work here for almost 8 years and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Redcote to anyone looking for a safe, happy and wonderful place for there loved one. I thank them all dearly for there continued care of our mum and see you all at the Christmas party.

The Manager Jane has very high standards for care and this obviously cascades through the team . We will always remember the care and support provided . We would highly recommend Redcotes for anyone in need of care and support .

Mum moved to Redcote from another care home.. The move was the best thing we did. The staff are brilliant.They all know mum and are so friendly and helpful.They do actually care about the residents and Redcote has a lovely family atmosphere. It's like visiting a family home, everyone is so welcoming. Whenever I phone the staff can tell me all about mum, what she's been up to and any problems.They quickly pick up on any new health issues and get the appropriate medical help when needed. Communication is fantastic, both in terms of me being able the phone or email if I have any queries or concerns, or staff contacting me when necessary. The food is all home-cooked and there is always plenty available. Visitors are always offered refreshments and on mums birthday we were able to have tea in her room with her, and staff had made her a birthday cake.I feel mum is in the best place at Redcote and I don't need to worry as she is safe and well cared for. I highly recommend Redcote to anyone.

Redcote is not purpose-built, it may look a little dated and bruised in places. It's a lived-in home. I take it on that expectation. That is the only reason to drop a star or two.

Redcoats is an older building with lots of character but If I were to be critical I would suggest a refit/decoration of areas such as the bathrooms etc. but generally, it's the management and staff that are the stars of Redcoats who take such care.

Very friendly, warm and genuine staff, nothing is too much trouble. When you walk through the door it is evident that there is plenty of Love. It is a struggle when a loved one goes into residential care but the Redcoats team does their best to make the change as easy as possible it soon becomes home from home.

A calm, cosy residence run by caring and friendly staff. Dad frequently commented on how much he liked the home-cooked food. The manager was always available to speak with and advise us. She also kept us very well informed.

I can not recommend Redcote highly enough to look after your loved one.

My Dad has been staying at Redcote for nearly 3 years. This place has been a godsend. The staff are, without exception, brilliant. They are friendly and helpful and you can really see that they actually care about their residents, it's not just a job. They really get to know their residents (and their families) and talk to them about their lives, they provide them with companionship, which is vital for the elderly. Every time I visit they have a story to tell me about what my Dad has been getting up to. They keep a keen eye on his health and are very quick to seek medical advice when needed. The food is all home-cooked and Dad enjoys all his meals and home-made cakes and desserts. The home is clean and Dad's room is always kept tidy. When you visit it's like visiting a family home, it's such a lovely friendly, and welcoming environment. In short, I am thankful to have found somewhere that truly cares about their residents and where my Dad is happy. I highly recommend it.

My experience with Redcote is over and above the 5 stars that I can give. My Aunt has been a resident since March 2023 and has settled in amazingly well, she is very sociable and thrives on company which she lacked from living alone. At Redcote all of the carers do exactly that, they care! It is a lovely informal home from home and has become an extended family, it is a massive undertaking to keep everything running smoothly and somehow the manager does it very well. There is always time for a chat and a laugh but obviously, the serious work gets done too. I think part of its overall charm is that it is not too big and that makes the personal touch much easier as you get to know everyone. Long may it continue and I recommend it at every opportunity!

The care given to my mum is outstanding. The manager is friendly and will answer any questions I have regarding the care of my mum. My mum always tells me they are like her family. The home is always clean. Even throughout covid, every effort was made to allow visits. Mum tells me the food is lovely and it is homemade.
