Overall Experience

Carers take excellent care of my nan. She absolutely loves them all and has been so happy since she settled in. Carers are always respecting her dignity and promoting individuality. Also they build appropriate relationships with her.

They are sometimes understaffed which affects some quality.

Reply from Clare Sheehan, Care Advisor at Acacia Lodge Care Home

Overall Experience

My mother has been a resident at Acacia Lodge for 3 years. My father-in-law was also a resident for last 6 months until his recent death. In both cases, I have found the care very good, although more staff on duty would provide greater care for all residents.

Reply from Clare Sheehan, Care Advisor at Acacia Lodge Care Home

Nan's care is fantastic, she is always well presented and nothing is too much for anyone. Always somebody for her to talk to if she wants a chat. She is awkward when taking her tablets but never a problem for whoever is with her. Her room is always clean and tidy.

Review from Rhona B (Daughter of Resident) published on 8 June 2017 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
My Dad was previously at a dreadful home where he was overmedicated and depressed.
Since he has been at Acacia Lodge he is off most of his medication now, he is bright and happy.
Dad is clean, always well dressed, his clothes and possessions are treated with respect.
He has gained weight and all the staff not only treat him with respect but take the time to talk to him.

Fabulous home!
