Burlington Court Care Home, rated 'Outstanding' by the CQC, is purpose-built for individuals with nursing needs and living with dementia. There is also a separate ground floor area housing 24 residents without a diagnosis of dementia.

Residents have a number of communal areas to spend time in, including several lounges and dining areas, along with two large enclosed gardens, an activity centre and coffee bar. All residents have their own bedroom with en-suite facilities. Residents are comfortable in the well-presented, relaxing environment, staffed by a well-trained, talented team of care professionals who are able to achieve effective results and look after people up until the end of their lives.

Burlington Court has its own hairdressing salon and has regular visits from chiropodists and opticians, while having a varied and enjoyable schedule of activities, entertainment and outings available to residents arranged by the Lifestyle Support team.

The home is extremely proud to be one of the few homes in the country to achieve an Outstanding rating from CQC consistently since 2016 (October 2016, September 2020).   

In 2023, Burlington Court acquired a small number of self contained apartments within the complex, so they are now able to offer assisted living within the service. Please ring for further details on this.

A home that is friendly and clean, not smelly at all. Staff are great! But always busy, none of this sitting down doing nothing! Food is okay, sometimes you wonder who thought of the menu but they like old-fashioned grub. Mum is happiest in the sun and a full belly. The staff take her out in the garden
in the summer.

When I visit, ALL staff from the handyman to the management staff are very friendly and accommodating. I'm always made to feel welcome and given a cuppa and cake. If it's mealtimes I'm invited to join him for lunch or tea. I like the idea of putting a menu on the dining table. Residents who are able
can choose from a variety of home cooked food. The carers really care and speak to the residents with patience and kindness. I never heard a raised voice even in challenging circumstances.
It's not the easiest job in the world but staff work as a team and shows. My daughter and I visited many care homes before choosing Burlington Court. We definitely made the RIGHT choice.

Our family member is always dressed neatly with co-ordinated outfits and jewellery. She has her hair and feet done on a regular basis.
There is a choice of meals at every sitting. The staff are very attentive at all times. There are opportunities for trips out and also in-house entertainment on a regular
basis.

Very caring staff all of them go the extra mile to care for the residents. The staff are very encouraging to the residents without being too pushy. The activities programme is excellent and it's nice that they go onto the units to do activities rather than always gathering in one room. I always recommend
Burlington to others. Wish there were more car parking spaces though.

Very friendly, caring staff notice even the little things that make a difference to the residents, always have time to welcome visitors and give updates. Welcome to visit anytime. My mother has been at Burlington for over a year now and settled in almost immediately.
It has been the hardest year of my life to see my mum slipping away from me as she doesn't remember me mostly but at least I know she is really cared for and looked after.


The manager and his team have made

her very welcome and the entertainment staff especially are brilliant.

From the first time we viewed this amazing home, all our prayers were answered. With Dad having Interlobe Dementia his condition was deteriorating fast and 2 other homes were unable to cope with this. This amazing place is Dads home until the day he leaves this mortal life. He has settled in well and
a year on the staff have been brilliant in solving any issues that have occurred. Mainly Dad leaving his items all around the home. Security is brilliant and a good ease knowing that he was safe and unable to escape unlike the previous home. The staff have good a understanding of Dad. I would recommend anyone that is looking to view here and they will have no hesitations on moving here.

My Sister-in-Law has been a resident of Burlington Court Care Home over the last 12 years until her peaceful death at 96 years in July.
The administration and the staff have all been caring and efficient and we as a family are enormously grateful for the 24-hour care that has been available.

My mother who was 91 entered this care home in February 2016, but unfortunately passed away in May 2016. However, during the time Mum was in Burlington Court she received excellent care from all members of staff. The rooms are pleasant and are kept immaculately clean by the cleaning staff. The kitchen
staff provides a varied selection of foods to a high standard, no ready meals here. My mother settled into the home very well, particularly as she was extremely reluctant to give up her home, having heard only the horror stories of care homes, but Burlington Court, in my opinion, sets a high standard, which few if any could beat. During the last few difficult days Mum was kept clean and comfortable, and looked after with dignity and compassion. It was a great comfort to know she was so well cared for during the last few weeks of her life. The staff also help relatives deal with their feelings when a family member enters into care. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this home.

The staff at Burlington have been exceptional in their handling of my late fathers care. They treated him with dignity as an individual with feelings. They make an extremely hard job look very easy through their genuinely caring manner.

My mother has been in this home for around 9 years. She has suffered from dementia all that time and lately it has been very severe until she passed away last week. I just want say that the staff there have always been very caring and have given me the reassurance that I needed to ensure she was being
well looked after. There have been bad times but the support of the staff has always been given with patience and understanding. Thank you to you all.

My father came into Burlington Court 12 months ago when I could no longer manage his care at home.


I cannot rate the care he has received highly enough. Or the support I have received.


Most of the staff on his unit are the same staff who welcomed him in. Very unusual.


For the past 4 months

he has been bed-bound. He has been turned regularly and consequently has had no bed sores.


He is kept spotlessly clean and he is in a lovely room.


Now he is approaching the end of his life and he will do so in the same room with the same staff. There is policy of keeping residents rather than shipping them out to hospital.


A relatives room has been made available for me if I need it.


My father who is deaf and blind and has dementia has been treated with dignity and tenderness. I could not wish for better care.

My mother came to Burlington Court in July 2015 aged 99 years old, and almost blind, she was no longer able to look after herself. Since then, the family and caring staff have tended to mum's needs, and offered every encouragement. She is content and comfortable, and our worries are eased now that she
received 24 hour care. Recently, the home hosted a lovely party to celebrate mum's 100th birthday.

My father went to reside at Burlington Court in August of last year and didn't take long to settle in. Having lived in his own home until then the family wondered whether he would adjust to living in this type of community but he did. He was made to feel very welcome. The staff are wonderful, nothing
is too much trouble, they are all so cheerful and caring. In house entertainment is provided and he is taken out for lunches and afternoon tea which he enjoys. He regards Burlington as his home and it is a comfort to his family that he feels safe and happy there. We are so pleased we found this wonderful home for dad.

I am very happy with the care my mother receives at Burlington Court and relieved to know that she is now safe after a difficult year. As I can only visit at the weekends I only see that situation which is obviously quieter than weekdays but I can view the photographs to see that she is starting to
join in the activities. The staff treat her kindly and with respect.

and coming events. Every time I visit The Burlington Residential Nursing Home I have so much fun joining in with the activity team. The way your staff look after, respect and entertain the residents is outstanding. Your dining room and the food that is served is hotel standard, the choice is very inviting and having eaten there on many occasions I can definitely recommend the menu so keep up the good work and I hope to see you soon.

Mum lived at Burlington Court for the last 18 months of her life, passing away peacefully surrounded by a team of dedicated, loving people who supported her and the family to the end. She was happy at Burlington Court, treated with dignity and came out of herself enjoying company and activities. I
closely monitored her time and the care provided watching and listening to staff interactions whenever I visited (at least weekly for half a day) I always felt she was treated as if a member of each member of staff's family. I was treated as if mum was the only person they were caring for they are an exceptional team.

My father was cared for at Burlington Court for the last seven months of his life. The staff are extremely well trained in dementia care and nothing was too much trouble for them. They treated dad with dignity care and compassion throughout his time there and supported the family with just as much care.
It meant so much to all of us to know he was safe and well cared for. Burlington staff are exceptional having experienced two other homes prior to dad joining them. I cant praise them enough for what they did for dad and the family.
