My brother recently went into Braywood and although this was a shock to me and my family, the homes management and staff were exceptionally caring and informative. Upon entering, we felt completely at ease and welcomed with the warmth of a family member or long-lost friend. My brother who was very unsettled in hospital is now at Braywood and is thriving and doing better than ever. I'll never be able to thank them enough.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It makes The Braywood staff team very happy to hear positive feedback and that we are doing, what we love.
Very clean. My husband is happy. The food is good. Very safe. Just needs a bit of encouragement to join in activities. The garden is lovely and a coffee shop.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am so pleased that your husband Has settled here at the home.
Mum was in a short stay, two-week respite at Braywood. Her first time in a care home. She loved every minute of it, praising all the staff and how she was looked after by them. She loved the food and activities, especially the exercise class! She's now looking forward to going back, hopefully in the next six months. A big thank you to everyone at Braywood.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We always strive to give all our residents the very best experience and care, when in our home. It is so humbling that Mum is looking forward to returning to Braywood Gardens in the future and we graciously thank you for being a part of the Braywood family.
Mum moved into Braywood Gardens a couple of months ago and is very content here. She has Alzheimer's and doesn't recognize anyone, but we're happy that she's being well looked after by the warm and friendly staff. She has a large, beautiful room, which is kept spotlessly clean and plenty of company, so she's never lonely. As the home is quite spacious, she enjoys walking around chatting to the staff and other residents, plus taking part in the activities. The family also enjoy seeing what she's been up to on their social media page. Would highly recommend as we now have peace of mind that Mum's safe and being well cared for by an excellent team of well-trained staff.
Went to see a friend/ neighbour. Well impressed as soon as i had walked through the doors to reception. The staff made me have a covid test (very good). The place is clean. Al the staff are very polite, they show a lot of affection in caring for the residents. They keep the place very clean. Yes, would recommend.
Hi Lorna, thank you very much for your review. We strive to ensure that all our residents are safe and feel extremely cared for. I will be sure to pass on your kind words to the team.
During the time mum spent at Braywood we found the staff to be very attentive and always approachable. The rooms are well equipped and cleaned daily. The facilities within the home are very good and mum was always asked to join in on the activities. We would definitely recommend Braywood Gardens to others.
Dear Linda, Thank you so much for your kind words. We at Braywood Gardens pride ourselves on being friendly and approachable and we aim to create a feel of home from home for our residents. We look forward to seeing you and your mum in the near future and you are most welcome to visit and join in with any events at the home.
I have been visiting my lifelong friend in Braywood for a few years now. Whilst she doesn't always remember me, the staff support me to maintain my friendship and are always on hand when I feel overwhelmed. The management is so welcoming as well as the staff, and the residents always look so happy and jolly to be there. It's always a pleasure to visit, and I often don't get there as often as I like, but I am always welcomed when I go.
Thank you for your review. It's so lovely to hear that you feel welcomed at Braywood Gardens and you feel supported to maintain that precious relationship with your friend.
Staff here are absolutely fantastic, very approachable and care so much about the residents. Very welcoming and comfortable. From what I have seen the place is homely and has great facilities with staff following good covid hygiene.
Thank you for you review and kind words. It is very much appreciated to have your feedback and we value all visitors that come to the home.

From the moment my mother was welcomed into the Braywood Gardens Care Home, she and indeed the family have received excellent support and reassurance. We feel happy and confident that Mum is being looked after and is receiving the care she requires at this time of her life and with her particular needs.

From the moment my friend arrived, the staff were so attentive and went above and beyond to make him feel as at home as he possibly could. As a regular visitor, I can still testify that the standard of care and friendliness hasn’t dropped.

The staff are caring and helpful. Some small issues in the room i.e. electrical sockets broken and handle missing from wardrobe door.
We have a lovely maintenance man, who is continuously busy tending to repairs, decorations and refits, of our home. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Exceptional care and a wonderful atmosphere.

Meet the Team (6)

I have been part of the team at Runwood Homes since 2015. I originally started my journey as a Care Assistant at Braywood Gardens and have worked my way to my current role of Home Manager. I transferred back to Braywood Gardens in April 2026, which has felt like such a homecoming!
I have a varied background and have worked in different settings and supported a range of different ages and abilities. I am passionate about ensuring our residents receive genuine, person-centred care and promoting a true sense of belonging and maintaining their links and connections within the community. My favourite part of my role is ensuring that our residents live fulfilled and happy lives, and getting to know each person as an individual, their life histories and preferences.
I have high expectations for myself and my team and am incredibly proud to be a part of the Braywood Gardens team. As a team, we strive to ensure everyone lives fulfilled and happy lives, and ensuring that every moment counts.

Hi, my name is Urszula and i am the Deputy Manager at Braywood Gardens.
I have been in the care industry since 2004 and started in a care role at Braywood Gardens in 2017. After a year i was promoted to care team leader and in June 2025 i commenced my new role as deputy manager.
I love everything about my job, i enjoy supporting the team here at Braywood Gardens and helping the residents and their families.

Hi, I'm Jo, the deputy manager at Braywood Gardens.
I started with the home 23 years ago, and I have worked in the roles of a domestic and kitchen assistant before switching to a care role. I developed within my role to become a care team leader, and this year was successful in obtaining the position of deputy manager.
In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, music and am an avid fan and season ticket holder for The Panthers Ice Hockey Team.

I joined the Braywood Gardens team in November 2019 and have been proudly serving as the welcoming face of our home ever since. As a receptionist, I enjoy interacting with residents and their families, ensuring their needs are met with care and enthusiasm. Being front of house allows me to create meaningful connections while providing a helpful and friendly environment for everyone who visits.
One of my proudest achievements has been taking on my Level 5 Management qualification, which reflects my commitment to personal and professional growth.

I am the Lifestyle Coordinator at Braywood Gardens.
With 19 years of dedicated service, I love spending time with residents and putting a smile on their faces. I take pride in providing a diverse range of activities tailored to their needs, ensuring every day is meaningful and engaging.
Beyond work, I enjoy cooking, biking, and walking—pursuits that keep me active and inspired.

Hello, I’m Lydia, the Lifestyle Coordinator at Braywood Gardens, where I’ve had the privilege of working for the past eight years. What I love most about my role is the opportunity to connect with our residents on a personal level. I take pride in organising activities that are tailored to their unique interests and lifestyles. It’s incredibly rewarding to build trust and meaningful bonds with them, as my work is much more than just a job—it’s a passion.
My journey at Braywood Gardens began as a care assistant, and I’m proud to have progressed to my current role as Lifestyle Coordinator. This growth has deepened my understanding of our residents' needs and strengthened my commitment to making a positive impact on their lives.
Outside of work, I’m an animal lover who takes in and cares for stray cats. I also enjoy cooking, staying active at the gym, and nurturing mental well-being through walks and outings. Whether I’m preparing a meal, exploring nature, or sharing a laugh with friends, I embrace every opportunity to create a fulfilling and balanced life.
