Grandma has enjoyed seeing the beginning of Summer again at this wonderful place. Her care is exemplary and especially good over these last difficult years. Thank you Braywood for your warmth and understanding.
We are especially grateful for all the help and support she has been given during her stay.

Myself and my brother are so pleased we managed to get our mum into Braywood Garden Care Home. She is given the best care and understanding. The actual place and rooms are beautiful and the staff are so caring and go above and beyond to make sure our mum is well looked after, especially over the last year they have been amazing keeping our mum safe. Can't thank them all enough.
My dad enjoys staying here and I don't mind visiting him here. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming.
My sister went into the care home for respite care following a few weeks in hospital. She was well looked after and I couldn’t have chosen a better home. The staff were attentive to her needs and were friendly.
The home is both welcoming and clean.
I would certainly recommend.
My granddad has been very happy since moving.
My friend had to go into care due to a deterioration in his health. He has always been a very independent person and I was concerned about the effect this would have on him. However, the staff were amazing and allowed him to be himself and were very patient with him. He has settled much better than I thought he would and has admitted to me that he is in fact very happy there and would struggle if he had to go back home. I have nothing but praise for everyone there.
Warm and friendly staff.
They took great care of my mother.
The care my Mum received over 3+ years was excellent. The staff treated Mum as one of the family and clearly know her likes and dislikes despite the dementia. My Dad was a resident for a short time last year and he was welcomed into the 'family'. He enjoyed talking to the staff and meeting the local Air Training Corps Group was one of the highlights of his stay. In summary, a very positive time for them both. The staff were amazing. Thank you.
Braywood is a lovely place. Well kept and spotless. The staff are all lovely, polite and very caring. Mum enjoyed the food and her stay here. Thank you to all the staff who looked after her!
I found the care home to be very welcoming. My father was shown around and I was too, we were amazed at how well maintained the home is. It was new and very clean, lovely room with shower with modern furniture, just like a hotel. The staff were very caring and attentive to my dad's needs. The first day my dad stopped here, he settled in straight away and went to bed settled. My dad is very well looked after.
I was originally booked in for 2 weeks following a long stay in hospital. It was difficult to interact with fellow residents as I am more mentally and physically active. The standard of food was poor/cold. I was left hungry after meals. The room was ok but the bed uncomfortable. I decided the place was not for me it made me miserable and depressed.
Lovely home, care very good.
The resident says he is not happy, he says, "I might want to look at homes now and move. I had a fall and no one came to me from 10 pm to 6 am. One of the helpers said crude things about me. I didn't like it. Now there is never anyone about in this corridor (staff that is). The meals are not as good now". He has moved to a more independent part of the home. On Thursday 1st November am, I got him his breakfast and we did get him out of bed. Someone has left his milk and tablets.
I will recommend this to anybody. The manager is very supportive and works with the staff very well.
My wife has been living at Braywood Gardens Care Home since September 2016, she settled in very quickly. The home has a lovely warm homely atmosphere and is a home from home for residents and their families. My wife is extremely happy here.
We are always kept informed and know we can approach management and staff at any time.
This is a fantastic, caring, friendly care home. My wife has never been happier. The manager is always visible and we can talk to him anytime.
Staff are friendly and the rooms are excellent. The activities are good. The overall standard is very good. Always treated with dignity and always get the care and support that you need.

Meet the Team (6)

I have been part of the team at Runwood Homes since 2015. I originally started my journey as a Care Assistant at Braywood Gardens and have worked my way to my current role of Home Manager. I transferred back to Braywood Gardens in April 2026, which has felt like such a homecoming!
I have a varied background and have worked in different settings and supported a range of different ages and abilities. I am passionate about ensuring our residents receive genuine, person-centred care and promoting a true sense of belonging and maintaining their links and connections within the community. My favourite part of my role is ensuring that our residents live fulfilled and happy lives, and getting to know each person as an individual, their life histories and preferences.
I have high expectations for myself and my team and am incredibly proud to be a part of the Braywood Gardens team. As a team, we strive to ensure everyone lives fulfilled and happy lives, and ensuring that every moment counts.

Hi, my name is Urszula and i am the Deputy Manager at Braywood Gardens.
I have been in the care industry since 2004 and started in a care role at Braywood Gardens in 2017. After a year i was promoted to care team leader and in June 2025 i commenced my new role as deputy manager.
I love everything about my job, i enjoy supporting the team here at Braywood Gardens and helping the residents and their families.

Hi, I'm Jo, the deputy manager at Braywood Gardens.
I started with the home 23 years ago, and I have worked in the roles of a domestic and kitchen assistant before switching to a care role. I developed within my role to become a care team leader, and this year was successful in obtaining the position of deputy manager.
In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, music and am an avid fan and season ticket holder for The Panthers Ice Hockey Team.

I joined the Braywood Gardens team in November 2019 and have been proudly serving as the welcoming face of our home ever since. As a receptionist, I enjoy interacting with residents and their families, ensuring their needs are met with care and enthusiasm. Being front of house allows me to create meaningful connections while providing a helpful and friendly environment for everyone who visits.
One of my proudest achievements has been taking on my Level 5 Management qualification, which reflects my commitment to personal and professional growth.

I am the Lifestyle Coordinator at Braywood Gardens.
With 19 years of dedicated service, I love spending time with residents and putting a smile on their faces. I take pride in providing a diverse range of activities tailored to their needs, ensuring every day is meaningful and engaging.
Beyond work, I enjoy cooking, biking, and walking—pursuits that keep me active and inspired.

Hello, I’m Lydia, the Lifestyle Coordinator at Braywood Gardens, where I’ve had the privilege of working for the past eight years. What I love most about my role is the opportunity to connect with our residents on a personal level. I take pride in organising activities that are tailored to their unique interests and lifestyles. It’s incredibly rewarding to build trust and meaningful bonds with them, as my work is much more than just a job—it’s a passion.
My journey at Braywood Gardens began as a care assistant, and I’m proud to have progressed to my current role as Lifestyle Coordinator. This growth has deepened my understanding of our residents' needs and strengthened my commitment to making a positive impact on their lives.
Outside of work, I’m an animal lover who takes in and cares for stray cats. I also enjoy cooking, staying active at the gym, and nurturing mental well-being through walks and outings. Whether I’m preparing a meal, exploring nature, or sharing a laugh with friends, I embrace every opportunity to create a fulfilling and balanced life.
