The home is welcoming and well run. The residents are well cared for and well managed. They are known for the individuals they are and their individual needs are met. They are treated with respect. As much as possible they are encouraged and enabled to remain active and involved in their own care choices.
Care offered extends to family and even beyond residents leaving. The staff work well as a team, many members have been there for many years, they even come in on days off to work on special projects e.g decorating particular areas. No agency staff normally staff used,

Hi, I’m Hira, and I’m so happy to introduce myself as the new Home Manager here at Leawood Manor.


I’ve worked in care for over 12 years, across a range of settings, and have spent the last couple of years in management. I’ve been with Runwood Homes for just under two years, and it’s been a great journey so far. Stepping into this new role at Leawood is something I feel both proud and excited about.


Caring for others has always been a big part of who I am. I grew up surrounded by older relatives whose stories and wisdom made a lasting impact on me. That’s where my passion for person-centred care comes from, making sure people feel truly known, respected, and supported in a way that suits them and their life story.


Outside of work, I’m a mum to two lovely boys who keep me busy! I enjoy cooking, trying out new recipes, and making memories on family holidays. I’m very family-oriented, and I like to bring that same warmth into the home, making sure our residents feel like part of one big extended family.


Leawood Manor already has a lovely feel to it, and my aim is to build on that. I want to bring in fresh energy, support the team in doing their best work, and help make every day a positive experience for our residents. Whether that’s through thoughtful changes, new activities, or simply creating more moments of connection and joy, I’m here to make a difference.


I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone, residents, families, staff, and the local community. My door is always open for a chat!

Our diverse activities program focuses on their emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and physical needs and enables residents to carry on with hobbies and interests they undertook prior to coming to Leawood as well as experiencing a few new ones along the way! all-important to promote independence and self-worth
Behind the scenes, we are always looking at organising events, encouraging friendship groups, and dementia cafes, and being involved in the local community.


My role goes far beyond organising activities; it’s about empowerment and offering support to allow residents to lead the life they wish to lead.

Building strong, personal relationships with our residents has been a cornerstone of my approach, allowing me to deliver a person-centred service and tailor menus that reflect their individual preferences and needs.


The daily interactions with residents bring me immense satisfaction, and I’m continually inspired by the impact I can make in their lives.


I have no regrets about my career shift, and I’m motivated every day by the rewarding work I do. I look forward to continuing to serve our residents and contributing to the high standards we have set at Leawood Manor for many years to come.
